Hooray on coming home! Can't wait to see her face upped and meet the real her! And find out her name! Let me know how the wig search is going, I am on the hunt for a wig for Miriam (my mini Riz) as well. She came with a gorgeous Sew Addicted wig, but I want a wig that makes her less mature. If you find a good source, please let us know!

 

I dont have this girl anymore but her wig is a cancan 4-5 and it does make her look less mature I think. Very good quality too.

 

I don't know why they are so wiggly, but they find the most interesting poses.

 

Imajica, she is so pretty. Raven does such peaceful, sweet faceups.
I tried glass eyes and fooled around with a couple of wigs for Miriam. So far, sticking with the same wig, I do love the color, but I had these size 8 eyes here on hand by Captured in Glass.
What do you think?

She is gorgeous. She looks sweet and young and so thoughtful. I love that the bra is a tiny bit big on the sides, her first bra lol. Those eyes are keepers, they are amazing. Brown eyes often merge with the pupil and are hard to see, those are perfection on her.

 

The combination of eye and hair color is fabulous on Miriam. If you want an even younger look, how about braids hanging over her shoulders?

Does anyone know how to thin out mohair, without showing bald spots?

Imajica Oh she's so pretty. I love Cancan wigs. Nice to know the 4/5 fit. Might have to order one for Runa.

toydogz Those eyes are beautiful. I love the color and I do like that wig on her too. Such a pretty girl.

 

Meg: Nifty! hehe I have a brand new camera so it better start working! Rawr. I think I should wait for day light... and I think the face up will help since the pure white is just so flat.

ToyDog: I'm not sure if you were directing this to me... but I ordered a Monique Gold size 4-5 Faith. There was a bit of a problem with the stock so it may take a bit longer to get here. I ordered glass eyes from DDE in 8mm:

I love them so far. Just gotta get the face up to work with them >_<

 

toydogz: where did you find that wig? I'm okay with the new white straight one that JoAnna is wearing, but would love to get her back to a "no bang" look again. And if I can find that in a pale yellow/white would be great

 

The wig came with her, Meguone, (I bought my doll on a resale). It is made by SewAddicted and it is just gorgeous. I love her wigs, but the fur on these pelts are always a bit too thick for my taste, I like a more natural look, but haven't found the right wig yet.
I am not sure if Sew Addicteds shop is back open yet or not, she has had serious health problems for awhile, and only opens when she is feeling well enough.

toydogz4: oh okay. JoAnna's first wig was from her also. I really love the coloring on it, but it's so pouffy also, it's just too much hair for her little head. I had thought about thinning it out, but afraid of messing it up. Glad to hear she's back to feeling better I was looking at some Monique wigs last night and looks like they have a couple of new ones in. Hoping that the 4-5 will fit and not fall off

 

Welp, I finished Nicolette's face up last night. Not great, I don't like around her eyes too much... but I can't bother fixing it right now.




I hope her wig gets here soon... she looks sooooo odd without one.

 

I would ask Tinybear about thinning mohair. When I had an elfdoll Kai I wanted the mohair without the pouff as Kai has such a tiny fragile face. She made exactly what I wanted.
She also has or at least HAD a Riz so her wigs would be a perfect fit.

 

The girls are taking a much needed break with tea and chocolate before they finish setting up their new kitchen.

 

So, I got the Faith 4-5 Monique Gold wig... got it in the mail today... and I HATE it. It fits AMAZINGLY, the color is lovely... but I hate the style. I wonder if I should hack away at it or try and sell it and buy a different type...

Herm, I think I want a pure white wig.... so I guess I'll pack this wig back up and put it up for sale.

But GOSH these wigs are amazingly soft!

 

She looks lovely, Stephanie! The wig is pretty, it suits her. What style were you looking for or is it just the color that is wrong? I am having alot of trouble finding a wig I want as well, nothing seems to be made just for these smaller dolls.

Richila, what a wonderland your girls live in. Their kitchen is the best, and I like how they are all gathered round the table for there bit of tea and gossip. They all look like the best of friends.

Imajica, going to have to bring you back here..maybe with a little elf eared Renee? Someone has to babysit all your tinies!!

Daisy Dayes, where is Charlie, and I would love to see more of Addie--are they a romantic couple or strictly platonic? I hope they are a couple, would love to see the bebe you will make them someday.

ToyDogz, Miriam is so gorgeous! and I know you just got her....but am I crazy? did you have a Roseanne and a different Riz last year too? I remember when I first started falling for these girls that I had seen some lovlies from you before? (or I'm daft, but that's not really news, is it)

Addie's got a mohair wig that 1mim made, and it is so wonderfully behaved and non-poofy! let me see if I have any decent pictures of it loose from it's recent style...*digs through millions of photobucket pages*

it's soft, non-poofy, but not limp either, can't explain it, but I luuuuurve it so much!
And Charlie's around! I think I have taken more pictures of him than almost all my other dolls combined, I adore my Chas so much!
He's been hanging with the FF peeps, and attended a Faeby Shower the yesterday (though I don't know if he can behave around the goodies any more than the kids can!)


Addie and Chas are....still working on how they feel about eachother, I think! LOL, I want her to be the leading lady in a few photostories, but the chemistry is still a bit off, I still view Addie a bit young, I think (and while that would not have been a problem in the least for REAL Chaplin, my Chas is, uh, not inclined)

No you aren't crazy--I did have two last year. I adored my Mini Riz, she had a stunning, dramatic face up, but I just couldn't seem to warm up to her. And I sold my Roseanne right away, she was cute, but again, not THE doll. I saw Miriam and sirens went off in my head! I adore her absolutely.

Yes, you are right, the real Chaplin would have preferred that. Your "new" Addie does look quite a bit more mature than the original, older photos I have seen of her. The mini Rizs do look older with a bit more makeup I think.

 

Stephanie, I have a couple of MSD Faith wigs and I've had trouble liking them as well. But if you chop it off at shoulder length, maybe a tad longer, it looks MUCH perkier. Straight blunt cut at the bottom. Here's a link to it on my BBB Sprite (one side clipped back behind her ear):

Unfortunately, I tried trimming the bangs first, then had the bright idea to trim the wig. I wish I had left the bangs longer so I could brush them to the side a bit.

 

Yeah, it's a pretty style but not what I was wanting. My girl is going to be a unicorn girl (as soon as I get the magnets so I can make a horn for her! Then I'll probably work on making her more horse like feet/hooves). The wig is amazingly soft but I was hoping for a more stark white, I want her to look otherworldly since she will be half unicorn.

I just bought a fwig from a member in white so hopefully I'll like that more.

 

toydogz4: Thank you. We've had such a busy weekend, and it's going to continue to next week. We are getting hardwood floors in the living room, so some dolly time has been taken. JoAnna and Izzy and Markoff actually are all in the living room, have been for a few days. Once we get some stuff settled at the house, hopefully JoAnna will be back. She actually has been off her game lately. Her little imaginary friend is at the spa so she's cranky right now. LOL I really love that Fwig on her also, but it just wont stay on for ANY reason or with any type of adhesive. I've actually got her in a pure white one now, fit's like a glove, but it's really REALLY white, and she has bangs, . I'm looking at some on Monique right now for her and think that I might have found a great one, but need to order first. AAAAGGGGHH
REAL LIFE IS GETTING IN THE WAY OF MY PLAY TIME !!!! lol

Stephanie Your girl is adorable, but the wig search is hard. Once I found the perfect wig for Shriara, I bought extras. One is just for putting in an updo, one is for curls down and one is a backup. I play with her daily and daily play is hard on doll wigs. I went through a lot of wigs for my girls-no one is wearing the first wig tried on, except T'Sarlonde and I had to trim the wig down so her ears could be seen. For Amara, I cut the wig cap and reshaped the wig the way I wanted it.

Thanks toydogz4, I just can't resist props and furniture for these girls. Oh my, Miriam looks wonderful all dressed for travel and her carpet bag is adorable.

Meguone looking at my girls, I laughed about too much hair-my girls have masses of hair, but I love the wildness of it. The girls have been asking about their friend Joanna, they miss seeing her. Shriara, in particular, wanted to know if she had seen the picture of her boyfriend, Jake. His picture is the background on her laptop in the fitting pictures.
The girls love their tea and Shriara demanded a kitchen so she could learn to cook Swedish food for her Jakob.

 

Richila: It seems that way. Wig searches are hard in general but this is even more difficult than usual. I found one on the market place, I hope I like it when it gets here.

Reine de la Seine, the shoes were from DDE, (love that store!). And Daisey Days, the carpet bag is vintage, it has two pretty little face towels and a miniature Ivory Soap bar inside. So cute--I will have to get pictures of Miriam settling in and getting ready for bed, but I have done nothing to finish her room yet. *eyes yours and Richila's doll rooms jealously* Also did you MAKE all those lovely pies in the picutre above??

Hmm... looks like I'm going to have to buy a mini Riz again! I sold the previous one I had because she wasn't getting as much play time. I've got another idea for one though that won't leave me alone... Ah!! Persistent little cuties aren't they?

 

So, this is going to be completely random, but today I was in Burger King and there were Twilight posters all over. And as I was sitting there staring at Taylor Lautner ("Jacob Black")'s face, I couldn't get the image of a planetdoll out of my head. I think it's his nose. It's the same little button-y "upturned" shape as planetdoll sculpts.

Delurking to say that I for one really hope that you do get another mini Riz....not only because I love seeing your photos, but also admittedly for selfish reasons of course...I love your fashions for these dolls, and would love to buy more of them for my girls!

Call me Stephanie, I don't know which shoes you mean in particular since that link just goes to Minimoo's main Ebay page, but I bought a cute pair of Hujoo maryjanes from there and while they are very tight, they do fit.

 

I actually have had those sandals for a few years...they had originally been purchased by a lady from Canada who was making sandals for the Tonner Marley size dolls. Since they're leather, they have a bit of stretch and stay on my mini Riz pretty well. I'm not sure if that lady is still making shoes for this size doll anymore though...

Carmen your girls are adorable, and so fashionable. I have the same sandals, but I can't get any of the Marley shoes to fit. I am haunting the DDE site daily waiting for the Boneka shoes to come in.
Great new wig Call me Stephanie, it looks so cute on her, and I have NO idea what shoes fit. I even have a pair of Bambicrony shoes that fit my Riz quite well, it all seems to be hit and miss for me.

 

Thanks Deborah I've had Samantha for several months, but Kate is a pretty recent addition. I absolutely LOVE your Miriam--what a pretty faceup she has!! The Tea scene is adorable!

I haven't tried any of the other Marley shoes that I have...I only have the sandals above, and one other one shown from Lynette, and I haven't tried those either. I haven't thought of trying Bambicrony shoes...no dolly funds to get anything right now anyway, but it's good to have ideas for when I do, lol!
