Pipos' Majestic Line 70cm boys, human and anthro

Hi. I was wondering if anyone has problems contacting Pipos? I've sent my second layaway payment since a month ago but there is still no confirmation or rather the admin seems to be inactive since the second of last month. Does anyone have the same problem as me? ;; v ;;

 

Sorry I can't help, kirakira11cm... I don't think I ever tried contacting Pipos, so I don't know what their communication is like usually...

I'm just posting 'cause I finally have a decent pic of Askerat~ I don't know why... he looks great in person but I can't seem to be able to bring out his coolness on camera. >_<; I gotta try harder!

Sorry, I've only ever emailed them once, and that was in response to an email they sent me about an order. They asked me what sculpt I wanted as a "friend" for my winter cheesemouse. I sent them my answer, but never heard back from them. I did get the doll I wanted though, so it was all good.

Has anyone decided to order the new limited "The returned" ones with the limited makeup? I Think they look very cool.

I have also started to get along a lot better with my cat Leo. He's currently in pieces to remove seams and to restring him and I'm sure we will be best friends soon. I also got a blank head for him so I can keep the limoted make up and also do my own thing.

Is anyone else going to go for the Sphynx cat? I order the LE one. My first huge doll. Lol. All the rest of mine are tinies.

I'm currently redoing Askerat's face-up... I always felt like the design of my last face-up was somehow lacking, but I couldn't come up with a better idea... until now! ^_^

 

I wish they did a majestic style anthro in msd size to match their msd female cat, who is probably my absolute favorite doll!

The majestic size is so masculine! But just too big..

 

I will definitely be taking photos! haha.. I don't have any idea how to do face ups, etc, so I really hope I can find someone local that can paint his body for me. I wish they would offer that as an option since they always look so nicely painted in the promo photos

I wish the majestic were smaller too xD;; but I just love how mature all their designs have been so far

Greetings, I was thinking of ordering a Raoh. I have never ordered direct from Pipos. Does anyone know if you have to send the payment manually through your paypal or when you check out does it automatically take you to paypal an you pay that way? I will be grateful if anyone can let me know

Has anyone received their Raoh? I am curious of the grey resin with either of the two company face ups. 70cm seems huge, but the Sphinx sculpt really speaks to me. Also, is it possible the heads for the majestic line might fit on a smaller body? I was hoping for a female Sphinx. :<

Since I prettied up my Midnight Crow, I thought I'd post him. Wish there were more Midnight Crows around. He's a really pretty sculpt.

......except I am terrible at making him look angry. All his face-ups end up looking more sad puppy than I intended! haha I mean he looks very angry in the pipos promo photos.

I have found the key for angry is in the eyebrows. Make them a straight line, slightly angled down.
I knoooow your pain! Ninety per cent of the time, I am going for "angry" sculpts, and soooo often, even when I get the company faceup, the Doll comes home looking sad or thoughtful and not angry at all! My most recent experience with this was my Granado Uranus. Everyone else was getting theirs in with the company faceup looking angry. Mine comes in and all I can get is "has a very pain-filled life". lol. But keep trying! You'll get it to look the way you want eventually! That's one of the nice things about these guys, you can do their faces a hundred times, and they don't mind. ^__^

 

Haha yeah that is true. Much easier than trying to fix my own eyebrows!

I'll get the eyebrow angle right eventually.

 

Has anybody found clothes that fit? I need to get him some pants but I'm just not sure if he would fit SD17 size clothes or not...

Seems like he is pretty close to the SOOM Supergem measurements.

 

I have mine in SD17 clothes. ^__^
Some pants are looser than others. Shirts and jackets seem good.

My cat did get himself a girlfriend though! I'll have to see if I can take a photo of the two of them. (Blah, I have a shoulder injury so doll things are difficult at the moment. )

Having no other SD size dolls to compare to, I can't be sure but... I think his strings aren't very tight. My tiny Pipos can pose easily. This guy's left arm can't pose above his waist and his legs don't pose well either. I'm not sure if the legs are just a factor of his increased overall weight? Anyway, it's a bit frustrating. I've never restrung a doll before, so I'm afraid to try...

 

You gotta try eventually! The strings do loosen up over time, and need tightening. I put it off for as long as I could, but once you get around to doing it, it's really straightforward. Plus, it helps understanding how he works, if you take him apart and then put him back together. ^_^
I LOVE that shot of him with the wolfy! lol The perfect companion and shirt! Just love it!

Yeah, I was hoping to put it off a bit longer rather than having to do it when he's pretty much brand new. Oh well. It's going to be a month of firsts! I can't seem to find anyone local to body blush him so I think I'll be trying that too. And sewing him some clothes! @-@ so many things I want to get done before the end of May.

 

But hey, you can unstring him to blush him and then restring him and he'll be all fixed up and spiffy! Two birds with one stone.

Hm. If it's just his left arm...could the knot be stuck somewhere, making the tension uneven?

 

Yeah I was wondering if I had to unstring him for blushing or if it was ok to do it while he was strung. I guess it doesnt matter since he needs tightening. I'll have to see if I can find an MSC tutorial.

Ah, good question! Didnt think of that! I'll mess around with him tonight and see if it helps. It did seem odd that one arm works and the other doesnt.

 

Has anyone ever used the soom paws to hybrid the anthros? I'd love a kitty but no paws kinda irks me xp

 

Neat idea! I wonder why Pipos haven't made paws themselves for these guys? They came with clawed upper hands, but no paw feet option.
And, it's kind of what they do! lol

 

I would have loved it if the paw option had been there for these dolls. However at some point I will show some custom sculpted paws for my Leo (Raven)... might take a while though since sculpting takes me forever XD

 

Hello, hello!

I received my gray Raoh head yesterday, and I was wondering about bodies that fit. I'm not in love with the idea of putting him on a Majestic body for a few reasons (way too tall, way too many muscles), and so I came hoping for guidance and suggestions from all of you! ^3^

Do any of you know of 62cm-65cm bodies that work well for his neck size? If it's from a company that has a gray resin option or does color-matching, then that would be awesome! I don't mind a little bit of gapping or needing to sand the neck. I'm just not wanting him on a super-tall, super-muscle body.

I don't really know, but off the top of my head, I would guess ResinSoul and Impl Doll. They do resin matching services for a price.
Miro Doll has a grey resin, but the boy bodies are all very muscle-bound. 60cm and 68cm.
You could also find a body you like, in white, and then dye it grey.

I know the companies that do resin-matching--I have several heads that need custom colors to match. ^///^

What I'm looking for is which companies' 62-65cm bodies actually *fit* the head. I need to get this right the first time, because I think it will be very difficult to resell a gray body, particularly if it is a resin-matched body. And I've learned over the years to look at the company measurements with some doubt, because they may not accurately represent the actual measurement.

Anyone wish the big kitties had tails? I know they'd probably be cumbersome and unstable since these guys are so tall, but my Beerus really needs a tail someday. XD

A resin tail really isn't too fiddly. I have a resin tail for my cat from another company's fullset and it looks really good on him. Ok, ok, he can't sit in it very well, but meh. Priorities! Hehe.

Still fairly new to the hobby, sorry, but do Pipos' outfits ever come back in stock? The belle sized Topaz outfit has been out of stock every time I've checked, and that's honestly the main thing making me lean towards Dear Mine for a cat doll instead of getting Isabelle.

In the past few years, I don't think I have ever seen any of their outfits get restocked, no matter the size.

 

Aw well. The black diamond dress isn't bad, but I was picturing a more... elegant look for Isabelle. Maybe I'll hope for a nice limited fullset. I have enough patience to hold out until Halloween if nothing comes up.

 

Hmm... I thought I saw someone post a picture of theirs and they had snagged the tail off a different doll. You could get one! Not sure what I would even do with one, though. My boy barely sits up straight; I doubt he could balance standing with a tail. I guess you could use a doll stand though.

 

I was lucky enough to order the Raven head during an event that included the four fingered "beast hands" and a tail, but I wish they'd make paw hands for him :/
