Pipos' Majestic Line 70cm boys, human and anthro

May 26, 2014

1. Nice! Can't wait to see.

yeah, I missed out on the grey one but I actually like the NS a lot :3
at first I thought the grey skin one was super expensive but I did the math for adding in the suit to a NS and it was actually quite a bit cheaper to get the LE set ! Lol. The beast hands are pretty much free .

2. Wow~ Lady Ravenswood! This is wonderful~ :kitty1

I was hoping they would start shipping around mid-August, but wasn't really expecting any news before mid-September. I'm so used to companies being behind schedule, this is incredibly good news!

And yeah... I told myself I wouldn't think too much about Mr. Cat, but this is pretty much impossible! :sweat

Bears: I did the same calculations! XD With the face-up, outfit, extra hands, special color and free shipping offer, his price was rather reasonable.

3. Wow, free shipping? @_@

yeah, I really wanted the shirt and pants for the NS boy, but with a faceup too, it's already $740. I'm going to try and find some indie clothes instead, lol.

4. I got a shipping notice too!!!! :dance

It was hidden in my spam folder. :doh

I'm so excited I had to retype pretty much every letter of this message twice. I guess I'm just hitting the keyboard randomly and hoping words will appear. Weeeee~

5. Oooo! Congratulations! :cheer
I dug through my spam and nope, no shipping notice. Not yet. But then I was one of the last ones to order, so I'll likely be last to get shipped. ^_^ I'm good with that. I will eagerly watch your arrivals!

6. Yay, another shipping notice! So exciting.

Well, they seem to be rolling right along with these guys, so I'm sure you'll see yours soon too, aernath. ^__^

::bounces around the room some more::

7. Congratulations to the shipping notices! I finnished my layaway perhaps three weeks ago. I figure the layaway will probably delay my shipping notice a bit, but that's totally okay.

CAAAAAAAAT!!

Um, my cat arrived this morning. Hehe.
Not so great photo, yay!
I haven't even really finished unpacking him yet but I got him all dressed up and here is a photo for you all. ^__^

In answer to earlier questions…
He has double jointed knees and elbows.

In person his head is really quite big, so it doesn't look off at all. Like seriously, it's huge.

He comes with gorgeous gray glass eyes, but I switched them out already. They are held in with sculpy, so if that bothers you, get your eye putty of choice ready.

His joints are nice and stiff and he's strung tightly out of the box so he can stand like a champ with knees bent and all kinds of stuff.
He can slouch. ^__^
His beast hands are MASSIVE. So they will not play nicely with clothes. You'll have to remove them a lot to change him…and they are sort of difficult to remove… T.T

I realized after I took this photo that I had that tail! It's mellowed out enough that it almost matches him, it's just a bit lighter. Oh yeah! ^_^

Oh, and his resin is sooo nice. Mmmmm.

So yes, if anyone has questions, just let me know and I can try and answer them until you get your own cats to play around with. ^__^

9. Oh WOW! He looks awesome in that outfit! Very classy and ready to hit the town! NICE!
You're right, everything looks good from here, proportion-wise. Yay!
Now I'm getting excited again! ^___^

10. I'm so in love with him! :chocoheart

Here's another outfit. I can't help posting more, he has so many dapper clothes I can't decide. ^_~
Oh, and he's wearing his tail in this one.

The clothing from Pipos is super nice too! The pants are very well fitted and have a real button closure. The black shirt has a high collar and a separate ruff which he's wearing above (er, you can't really see it...).

Ha ha ha, and I realized I'm silly. The opening in his wrist balls is more of an oval, so you can rest the s-hook there and change out the hands. Much easier! I couldn't see that when I tried to change them out the first time (and he doesn't come with any kind of manual), so just FYI.

11. Wow. Just WOW.

Lady Ravenswood, he looks amazing~ The proportions seem perfectly balanced and I love the big white shoes you got him: they match the size of his hands while looking quite classy. <3

Oh~ Now I *really* can't wait to see mine! He was released from customs earlier today. :dance

12. Ah! So he does come with a tail? I was wondering about that.

omg, his head is perfect size, not freaky small, lol. and though I'm not a huge fan of what they did with the beast hands, I think they look better in your pictures than in the stock photos. He looks A-MAZING!

You are just killing me. ><;;; Now I want the NS cat even more..
I would love to know where you got those clothes

13. Bears: Sorry... he doesn't come with a tail... If I remember what she wrote earlier, it's from IH Luna Tamer. ^_^

...And my Cat arrived today!!!! I was actually talking about checking Canada Post's website for updates... when the bell rang! That was the most timely coincidence! :dance

I don't have any pics yet (I had too much fun playing with him to think about taking snap shots ^_^; ), but my Cat is just as amazing as I was hoping he would be. <3

Thanks so much Lady Ravenswood for the trick to remove his hands more easily!

He poses really well, stands solidly and slouches wonderfully! My only complaint is that I find it difficult to activate the double joint in his arms. You need to pull the peanut out of its socket and lock a notch in place, but almost 9 times out of 10, it takes less than a second for the peanut to pop out and slide back inside its socket. The tenth time, though, I manage to get a solid pose. Maybe there's something I haven't figured out yet... or maybe there's just too much tension on his elastic.

I'm considering repainting his face-up since he's just so inspiring, but I hesitate... Once I remove it, I can't get it back. 0_0

Oh! Remember how I came up with all sorts of fancy names for him? So far, he wants to be called Rat. That's unexpected.

14. Haha! Oh that would be grand though: a cat called Rat! ^__^

15. Yay, another cat arrived! Hehe, Rat would be a funny name. My husband has decided mine should be called Alfonso Cat? :sweat

Oh and sorry about the confusion on the tail, Bears! Lochness is correct, it is the tail from Iplehouse's Luna Tamer. I just happened to have one and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use it since he doesn't come with one.
The two outfits and shoes are from Volks.

Hehe, I super loved those shoes as soon as I saw them! I'm glad you like them too, Lochness. ^__^
They do give him that big feet, big hands look. I had the human hands on him at first, and took a photo, but when I looked at the photo I just suddenly felt that they were too small compared to his head or something, so I changed to the HUGE beast hands. The human hands are really lovely too though.

As for the elbows, I haven't found a trick to them yet. I also have the same problem where they just pop back into the arm. Hehe, I don't think I've even been as studious in trying to get them to hold. I tried about three times and then just shrugged and got him dressed instead. ^.^
I'm glad the hand thing came in handy though! I felt pretty silly when I noticed that after struggling with them so much earlier. XD

Ah! I really am very happy with this guy. He's really a nice doll and I just love his aesthetics. :chocoheart

16. Ooooo, thank you for the closeup of his face! ^__^ Nice to see all the faceup details.

17. He has beautiful, fine brush strokes that make up his faceup. All long, dark ones over the patches of blushing, and delicate red ones to define his mouth, and cute little white ones on the top of his nose. I enjoy just looking at them all and appreciating the hand control. Hehe. ^_~

My camera sort of goes all grainy up close, but it will be something to enjoy once yours arrives, aernath. ^___^

(Er…but I'm sort of in the same boat where some part of me itches to do my own faceup. >.<)

18. It's the beautiful, fine brush strokes that make me hesitate too! >_<;

I drew a little face-up sketch at work and I'm quite proud of my ideas... though for good results, I would need great symmetry and lines as fine as the ones the Pipos artist painted.

19. Oooo! Ooo! Ooo! :dance I just got shipping notice on my grey boy! :dance Like, six minutes ago! lol
I'm guessing he'll be here early next week. ^__^

20. I got my shipping notice today as well.

Also noticed that there is a note on Pipos site about which dolls that will be sold on august and september... and a grey basic Raven is mentioned...... I can't help but wonder if that means the same doll as the limited one will be available without makeup. If that is the case I will be very disapointed since the only reason I purchased the limited one with makeup (didn't want any makeup) was because I thought the grey skin was for the limited one only...

21. Congrats on the shipping notices!!!

JAS101: I also wouldn't have bought the fullset if I would've thought a basic grey version was coming... >_<;

I unpainted mine and he looks really, really good, even blank. ^_^

He's also called Askerat, now... but he's still nicknamed Rat. XD

22. Thank you!

No, I'm rather upset about this actually because I specifically asked if it was in any way possible to purchase mine with no makeup and was told that wasn't possible. I have never purchased a doll with makeup before because I want to do my own thing and the only reason I made an exception in this case was because I thought it was 20 limited grey Raven dolls and then no more of them in that color. With these news I feel like I wasted a whole lot of money on the wrong doll now.

May I ask what you used to "unpaint" yours Lochness? I have never removed the makeup on a doll and it would be great to know what to use to avoid harming the grey resin.

23. Congratulations on all the shipping notices! ^_^

Hm, the faceup/gray resin version thing is a bit perplexing. I haven't been paying strict attention, but it seems like from what I've noticed in the past, the gray version dolls were always a special edition or special order period thing, so is this something new for them?

{EDIT: Oh, haha, I'm silly. I went over to Pipos and there are basic gray editions of all the R.Pi's so I guess they do offer the gray resin for basic dolls too.}

Either way, I'm happy to have my cat (who is stubbornly sticking to Alfonso…).
Also, to be fair, Pipos did give us free shipping for the special version, so if you counter weight that against the faceup cost you should still come out ahead. I don't know if that helps ease anyone's mind a little?

As for removing the faceup, you should be able to use Winsor and Newton brush cleaner, as usual I would think.

I would be very interested to see a custom faceup on this guy! ^_^

24. I would rather have paid shipping and gotten the cat with no makeup. It makes me upset to have bought a very expensive doll only to realize that it wasn't impossible after all to get him blank. It does, to me at least, in many ways feel like there's nothing limited about the doll if the resin color becomes basic too.

But enough complaining (edited yesterdays post because it felt too complain-y).

Thank you very much for the advice! I will try removing the makeup and see if that helps any.

25. I personally use a product called "Goof Off" to remove all face-ups. To me, it works faster and is easier to apply than Windsor & Newton. W&N is highly recommended for resin, but it melts many plastics and I had bad experiences with it when removing paint on other types of dolls. Goof Off has a really chemical scent, but it never damaged anything I used it on.

I felt bad unpainting all the pretty lines applied by Pipos' face-up artist, but you're right, Lady Ravenswood: with the free shipping event, we had a good deal on our cats!

JAS101:
At least, the lines are not too deep on Raven's sculpt, so it's rather easy to remove the entire face-up, without leaving any residues.

By the way, it feels hilarious to have a guy with feline features called Raven by Pipos and Rat here. I'm surprised he doesn't seem to suffer from an identity complex... XD

26. I took some pics of blank Askerat, if anyone is curious...

I also solved the problem with his double-jointed elbows! I really, really wanted him to bend his arms more than 90°, so I thought I would mod him by adding donuts made of Apoxie Sculpt inside his upper arms, near the elbows. The objective was to prevent the elbow peanuts from hiding in the arms. When I unstrung his arms, though, I realized that by inverting the peanuts (the big side in the upper arm and the slim one in the lower arm), I could achieve the same effect! The only downside is that the elbows don't look as good when the arm is completely extended as the peanuts still show.

27. He does look very good with no make-up. I very much prefer it since it provides a nice looking face with opportunities to do something cool.

Still unhappy though. Possibly more than before since I got a reply to my question about the new release today. I might have misunderstood and won't make any final judgment until the other ones are up for sale but from the sound of it the difference will be the makeup and outfit for the next limited one.

Mine is in customs now and I guess he'll arrive on monday. It may be unfair of me but I have been told one should be honest about ones feelings and I do feel cheated considering this doll probably won't even be limited compared to the others once the makeup is gone and he wears different clothes from the fullset outfit :apirate:.

I suppose one could look at it like this: It's good he's not super limited anymore because then it doesn't matter if one decides to do some custom work. I did have some plans along those lines actually.

28. I was busy on the back porch all day today and missed the delivery, so I'll have to get mine from the post office tomorrow morning.
I did jump and run around front and check, every time I thought I heard a truck go by, but no luck.
Though, he DID fly through customs and straight here! Took so little time, I was surprised! I didn't expect him to get here until Monday, so it's all good.

I had also thought that the grey would be the limiting factor. Sorry that seems to not be the case. :(

Forgot to say: He looks so CUTE blank! I hope you folks share photos of your cat boys with the non-Pipos faceups! I look forward to seeing them!

29. I won't be able to resist posting pictures once I paint him! Between work and the Great Triathlon, I haven't had any time to work on his face-up yet, but I assembled tons of ideas, so I know what I want to accomplish. I also pierced his right ear yesterday. He's now wearing 2 old silver loops. ^_^

30. Cool! I have a jumpring I'm eyeing and thinking about putting on my boy.
He's here! ^__^
Thank you for that heads up on the wrist things! That makes changing the hands so much easier!
Those beast hands are huuuuge compared to the human ones! I pulled my boy out, changed to the beast hands, THEN thought about trying on the outfit. lol So I went to change the hands again, and the right hook slipped and jammed inside the arm. :doh Had to unstring his arms and finagle the hook out with my doubled-up stringing wire.
Finally got him into his outfit. Took me forever to figure out the ruffle and the neck clasp. Almost gave up and made him go shirtless.
Though that's not really a baaaad thing! ;)

I do however, dislike that he can't point his feet. Makes getting pants on, more of a challenge. And balancing. Can't just plant his feet and lean him back until he balances.
OTOH, he slouches incredibly well!
And I LOVE his head! What a lovely face. I really really love this guy so much more in person! SO happy I got him. ^__^

Now.... he needs a name. Still. I'm such a slacker.

31. Ooh, I've been out of town the last couple of days, but it's fun to come back to more of the cats arriving. ^_^

Hehe, aren't his hands huge?!
Hm, the range of motion on his ankles annoyed me too, aernath. It makes it feel like he'll just fall over…though he seems to stand just fine anyway so far, so I guess it's not so bad after all. ::shrugs::

And it's nice to see the blank photos.
I'm excited to see how you paint him, Lochness. (And thank you for the tip about his elbows. I'll have to think on if I want to fiddle with them.)
Hehehe, my husband also thought it was quite funny that he was a cat named Raven.

I wonder what the next fullset will look like. I think he'd look great in a tux!

Also, I keep eyeing his ears too! I've been thinking about piercing them since before he arrived, but I haven't had a chance to do it yet. I guess it just suits him. ^___~

32. Mine has arrived and since the doll is here now I will unpack him and see what I think.

Edit: Well... I am disapointed.

The seams are rather bad on my doll compared to the nice smooth look on my previous Pipos dolls.

I usally really love Pipos dolls but this one doesn't feel like the kind of doll I was expecting. That or I was unlucky and got the floppy (pose? sit? Nope... prefers not to do any of that) one out of the bunch

Edit No 2: About the beast hands. They look really cool but yeah they are seriously HUGE. I compared them to the hands on one of my EID guys and the beast hands are actually bigger by quite a bit even compared to an EID hand. No wonder it's slightly problematic to change clothes with the beast hands on the doll;)

33. JAS101: :ablink: I think you should send pics to Pipos. Mine doesn't have any seams. At all. There's a discolored spot on one of his shoulder blades and a shiny bit near the top of his neck (usually hidden by his head anyway), but those are the only 2 resin flaws I've noticed, and I'm really picky. His elbows aside, mine also poses really, really well. I stand and sit him sturdily on uneven surfaces without effort. So much so that his "official" place in my packed room is on the ground, standing unsupported (he's almost the only one of my bunch I would dare leave like that). His face-up was definitely not as neat as the Docshul one I got with my little Cheshire many years ago, but... Docshul. And there was still no dripping or any real mistake in it: it just wasn't as detailed and both the airbrushing and the fine lines were not as *perfect* as the ones on my Cheshire. Really, I think you should contact Pipos with pics...

34. I have contacted them about this because yeah I can live with having to sand seams, it's no biggie, even if tan or grey skins tend to need a bit more care to get it to look good. I mean I can fix this. I just happens to think it's not fun to have to completely disassemble and do a complete sanding to fix issues with a doll limited to 20 pieces...

I did take my guy out of ouf his box again last night. After all it's not the doll's fault that he didn't get the best treatment when being made. I did manage to get him to sit (just don't poke him too much...). However he is very floppy and I've never had this issue with my other Pipos dolls.

I will try to get a picture when I get home from work tonight. And meanwhile I will wait for a reply from Pipos and see what they say.

35. Does anyone have pictures of these beast hands? I'm having issues on getting to the pipo's site right now and I adore owner pictures better because you know they can't be fooled easily like promos from companies. I do love cat's head too :D

36. Oh thank you! Huh I didn't notice that they were only four fingered. I really like them. I should consider getting them if I can find any floating around on the MP for another project but I really do love Raven's head XD He's giving me ideas that i don't need. I don't need project changers.

37. The hands are available in NS on Pipos' website... They may also release them in Gray skin soon, and Raven's head too. ^_^

I really like how the hands have 4 fingers~ Since they're sculpted realistically, they seem more inhuman and really expressive.

38. Mine has various degrees of these seams on his arms, legs and any place there could be one. They show up clearer in real life. Some have, as I said before, been partially sanded but not in any kind of neat way like on my other Pipos dolls.

EDIT slightly later: with the intended clothes he looks very nice. Still wish there had been less contrast between the make up and grey skin... I Think the difference is that the grey skin looked darker on the promotion Pictures than it is in real life.

He still need shoes. And a nice pair of very green cat eyes.

39. Hm, here is what my Cat looks like if that helps you to compare, JAS101...

One side is completely seam free, the other has a ghost of the seams, but feels perfectly smooth to the touch.
I'm sorry about the troubles with your cat. That spot on the back of his head is disappointing to be sure. Can it be wiped off or is it dried paint? :/
Also, my cat is strung quite tightly. He squeaks a bit when I pose him. Could a loop of elastic have come undone somewhere while he was shipping? When strung tightly, he poses really well and can sit and stand like a champ.

40. Thank you very much for showing comparison photos :thumbup!

What you show is what I was expecting from Pipos: You can tell there might have been a seamline but it's all smooth to the touch and if applying any shadows or fur patterns on the body of the doll the line would no longer be visible at all. This is not the case with mine. He's not smooth to the touch at all when feeling across the seams. I work quite a bit with resin kits on my free time and my Raven feels, in many places, like a resin kit does before any work has been done.

The spot is some sort of paint. I'm sure it can be removed but I need to get hold of supplies to safely do so first. I hope I might be able to go to the closest art store sometime this weekend or next.

I looked at mine and I can't see any obvious issue with the stringing. I think it's a case of really needing to tighten the tension. The chest joint is the biggest issue so far since if I as much as move it he will move that joint... a lot. I'm sure it can be fixed and since I will have to disassemble him anyway to do the sanding I might as well test to tighten the strings. It is good to hear that he will be able to pose well when the string tension is right.

I really want to be positive and like him... I mean he is a very pretty doll but unfortunately it feels like someone forgot a few steps when it comes to the finish and assembly on mine.

41. Seams on Askerat look pretty much exactly like what Lady Ravenswood posted: nothing at all on one side of the torso, and a smooth surface on the other side, with a faint line. The arms and legs are smooth as well.

I don't have any picture of his face-up, but it looked less intense than what your picture shows: the inside of the ears, for example didn't seem black near the point. The paint used was black, but it looked more like a dark gray since it wasn't opaque.

42. Thank you very much for letting me know! This is very odd. I do wonder if it's because we picked different body types :?? As I recall you and Lady Ravenswood picked the A type right? And mine is the B type. I guess it shouldn't make any difference but it would be interesting to know if any of the ones with the B type bodies got smooth seams or if all of them are like mine. Mine literally have visible seam lines (the kind that aren't smooth) on both sides, both arms and both legs.

Mine have really black ears on the inside. of course the dolls are hand painted so differences are bound to happen and that's cool. I was just surprised about the difference. Though I am getting used to it so it feels considerably better than it did yesterday . I do like the black around his eyes a lot. And I think it would look very cool if the back side of the ears were black too. It's something I consider doing when I paint my own makeup :kitty2.

I have thought a lot about this and I wonder if would perhaps be a good idea to maybe try getting a blank head for him in grey skin. That way I could keep the limited makeup (I mean... I have it.... so I might as well keep it right?) and still do my own thing.

43. Oh! I suppose there could have been different teams working on the two types of bodies. It seems a bit odd that they would finish them differently though! *_*

In regards to the faceup, mine is also more a charcoal gray than black in the airbrushed parts (ears, side of eye).
Hm, getting a new head to paint might be a great idea! I'm still a bit torn. I like the default, but I like to do my own faceups as well. I'll probably still just wait and see how the faceup holds out and if I need to re-do it, then I will have fun. ^_~

44. Sorry! Got busy around here.
I got the B type body, and his right side has no seam at all, and the left has a very small seam.
[IMG]Tom T. Cat - Pipos mb Raven by aernath, on Flickr

The forehead part of the faceup does look a little darker than in the promotional photos, but I really love it! He freaked out one of my cats! lol I have him sitting on my desk next to the computer, and one of our real cats hopped up into my lap... and got spooked by the Pipos cat (Tom T. Cat, I think.)! He leaned in to sniff at it, but then jumped back, then warily eyed the doll... and then went away. XD
Here's the faceup mine has: https://flic.kr/p/oN47Qm
He came with light grey eyes, but I switched them out for these because they have a ton of detail in them.

Oh! And I totally agree on the upper torso being a bit to eager to slip all over the place. Definitely needs some hot glue sueding. But then, most of my dolls this size need that as well. I'm pleased as punch with my guy!
I hope you get yours sorted out! Sounds like he was a little bit rushed to get out the door.

45. Hm, I wonder if the two body types pose differently then because the torso joint on mine is really stiff (I mean, I know they would just because they have a different number of joints but...like they both have that one). I have to physically lift it up to move it around.

Also, cat photo! :kitty1

Alfonso seems hungry.

46. Hee hee hee! That's adorable! "Eenie, meenie, meiny, meow!"

47. It's been a while since I posted here. Thanks a lot to everyone who offered pictures of their cats and the seamlines. It does appear that I got the "bad" one out of the 20 but there's nothing a little patience and sanding can't solve ;)

Pipos have posted Pictures of the other grey cats now. I do have to say one of the makeup options is a little too similar to the "super limited" one in my opinion.... It's not identical of course but there certainly are strong similarites... The second one is very different and suits him well I think :kitty2.

48. Has anyone gotten the humans?

I'm interested in Midnight Crow and have been hoping to find some owner pictures.

49. Hmm I'm a bit at a loss on what to do now. I'm sort of trying to decide if I should buy a blank head for Leo (Mr. Cat has a name) and keep the limited one untouched (just in case...) or if I hould simply remove the makeup. I know I am going to do some heavy kitty-hand modifications and that's also a bit of a tough one to decide on since to be honest I am not going to use the beast hands, but on the other hand I'm not sure if it's such a good idea to start messing around with the fullset pieces.

I did add one of those little rubber discs to his neck joint today and that made a huge difference. I imagine that if something similar is done to the rest of his joints he will feel like a compeltely differnt doll and stop his bad habit of having his joints slip all over the place :sweat

I don't know if anyone here has the human dolls. I do however agree with you that it would be great to see owner pictures. Hopefully someone will post pictures of Midnight Crow soon so you can see what he looks like outside of the company photos :)

50. I just noticed that Pipos is having a grand event and giving free cat ears with a head purchase. I might just go for it and buy Midnight Crow @_@

Do I even need cat ears? I dunno! But it's more stuff than if I buy it during no event.

51. I'd also love to see some pics of Midnight Crow if anyone here has him already

52. Got my Crow today.

x_x all my other dolls have smaller eyes so I don't have anything that fits right now.

He looks angrier in person, but it might just be because his eyes barely fit and he looks all death-glare-y.

53. Heh heh. I like "all death-glare-y"! ^_^
Congratulations! I love those big ears!

Despite him coming with faceup and clothes, I still haven't gotten around to taking any dedicated photos of my boy.
But here's one of him with the soom Puss in Boots (who definitely needs a faceup).

54. Aernath: The lil' mousie doesn't seem all that comfortable with all those felines around!

Zecarmisama: Thanks for the pic! I didn't like the human guys much, but seeing your blank head changes my mind... He really has interesting traits! He also looks a bit like the guy in your signature... is it a coincidence?

55. The doll isn't meant to be the guy in my signature. He's my RP character Nick.

Gotta start saving up money for the nice angora hair because nothing else does waves the way I like. His temp wig makes him look like a girl.

Probably take a few more proper pictures after I get his new pair of eyes, then some face-upping.

Also gotta save up for a body. I'm thinking about the Luts SDF type 3 body. Probably the most expensive body I've wanted to get (well, I also have a SSDF body, but I got it cheaper secondhand)... But I like the realskin brown color and also I want an immature looking body too. Too many dolls have six packs.... though I don't know why I care when my dolls are nearly never naked... But the character is a skinny thief who is more likely to be sleeping under tables than he is to be doing sit-ups.

The cat ears are so fun. It doesn't really match any of my characters, but I've thrown cat ears on all of them. The only downside is that they apparently only paint the front of the ears. The back is totally white.

56. Isn't that strange? They painted only the front of the big cat head's ears as well. It's on my to-do list to paint the backs.

57. Hehe, at least it does give you somewhere you can grab to take the faceplate off.

58. True dat. ^_^

59. More pics of my Midnight Crow, for reference. >_> I know when I bought mine it was annoying there wasn't really much of a side view in the company photos. I think I might mod the nose a smidge for a rounder ball of the nose, or I might chicken out and leave it. https://www.flickr.com/photos/kaxen6/sets/72157648259119378/

...gosh my Dollzone Eye Putty and the Pipos head are bent on not sticking to each other. I can't figure out why. The putty shouldn't be too old, it sticks to my other dolls. He still looks kind of gappy with 16mm eyes. I guess silicone eyes or low dome eyes might work better. But some of the gappyness might be the eye putty being uncooperative.

My opinion of the age this doll looks keeps swerving. Sometimes he looks 20-something and sometimes he looks like a skinny teenager with puppy eyes.
