Pipos Anthro discussion part 2

Well at least for me Pipos has sent out notice for shipping and there is a tracking code, but my email usually shifts them in the spam folder.

I think Pipos white dollies turn a nice creamy color, well at least mine Baha has. That Baha is something around 2009 (?), so no wonder for color change. I think mint baby cheshire could be turned just tiny bit greyish shade, but still clearly mint at first glance. I think it's from 2011 or could be a bit older (can't remember anymore). I would like to get some cabinet for dolls, but right now this place doesnt have enough room for that (some of dolls are still in the parents house). Dolls would be easily get them for play or can just open a door, if want to watch them, but usually safe from sunlight.

Pipos in my experience has seemed to have some very stable resin, just to throw in my 2 bits! My Baha that I have now - she's one of the earlier ones - is a very creamy white. I've had 2 pink Bahas one of which was very very yellowed (this was back in 2008) while my other bought the same year (both used) was a perfect delicate pink. She stayed pretty much that way while I had her for a couple of more years. I know some of this is the yellowed pink Baha had been outside a lot for photos by previous owners, while the other was stored away until I bought her. My Postman Bao is a beige, and I can see he has some minimal yellowing, but considering his age, I'm surprised it isn't more. My beige Cheese Mouse (from I think 2009?) has maybe yellowed a tad. All of my other dolls are more recent. It's sometimes hard to tell comparing to more recent dolls as sometimes batches differ slightly. I've had 2 grey Ruths, the one that I sold was darker than the one I have now.

Dang you have a lot going on around your desk space, very cool.

My grey baby Cheshire I've had since early 2010, and she's aged rather well the last time I saw her (she's at my family home at the moment) But I do tend to keep her in her box when i'm not playing with her. I'm not sure how grey resin ages though? Does it turn yellow or darken?

 

I agree. My Baha that has yellowed a little is a lovely light creamy color. Not off-putting at all and it's barely noticeable.

 

TBH, I actually prefer the more creamier white than the stark white, so I think it's a good thing in some ways when the resin mellows out to that lovely creamy white. I do have a very white cheese mouse and comparing her to my Baha you can really see the difference.

His resin colour is gorgeous, He's got spooky white eyes though, that's funny. I'm surprised they used the old one piece body I kinda thought what with the new resin they would have just put the Mac parts on the new standard body. I also noticed that his left leg (You can kind of see it in the picture) is higher up than his right, I don't know if that is stringing or if there is something wrong with the leg slot? I'm also having trouble removing his face plate, and I don't know if its due to his strung ears, or because its the first time removing it. But either way he can stand on his own and I love him!!

@pepperonipizza Cream does look nicer than a stark white I agree, it's looks more natural and also reminds me of cream. Mmmm.

 

Congrats on your new baby Polkavata! He's very cute and I actually kind of like the spooky eyes. xD

 

@TwistedRiver Thank you! I like the spooky eyes too, I could totally make him a spooky ghoul dog, but I think I'm going to stick to my other theme of Mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Well, a chair entered the scene and things obviously improved. (Everyone likes a good chair.)

 

The weather was a little nicer today so my sister and I took our kitty boys (her Ringo my Cheshire) out for some much needed fresh air to help with their restlessness. Between her camera and our mom's we took over a hundred pictures. This is one of my favorites that she got on our mom's camera.

Thanks, the dungarees and Valentine's vest are actually modified versions of clothing patterns that @Drensik posted a link to a short while back. Also made a hat for Valentine using the hat pattern posted there but with his hat and vest he looks a little like a pimp. xD

 

Ah, thanks for all the input! Yeah, if I had a cat or kids, mine would be in a box all the time too! As it is, my tiny anthros are on display, but my big Sphinx boy is in the box because... I can't figure out how to display him. lol. I want to buy him a chair or something, but if I display him with my tinies, they all look like children, lol

I haven't noticed any yellowing on my white skin Curo... but I have nothing to compare him to. He seem pretty white to me.

Guuuys look at the new Pang's! Baby Pang!

 

I saw them and was torn between 'squee-ing' and crying since my doll budget is pretty much nonexistent at the moment and they are so dang cute. I hope that anyone who orders them will post lots of pic spam so I can live vicariously through them.

 

I ordered Bebe Pang with the kimono. I liked Pang before but I only want kitties smaller than my Heero.

 

The bebe Pangs are really cute! I'm curious to see them with other Jr. PIs.

 

I really like the smile pang, personally, but yeah.... I do not have the funds to be buying another doll at the moment. It's such a shame there are only ten.

 

Oh my gosh yes, the Bebe Pangs are adorable! Pangs in general are adorable, but of course smaller is cuter.
I am rather tempted to get one as a sibling for Matilda, but she may get jealous.

Do you think Pangs will be the new PIPOS mascot instead of Baha? (since they are now discontinued) Or maybe the Cheshire are the new one since they are in the logo?

@TwistedRiver Valentine looks like he's in danger of turning into a heart breaker. That little hat is so snazzy.

 

Well he's stolen my heart for sure. I can't wait to play around with some more clothing ideas for him. I want to make him a bunch more hats and a nice amount of vests to go with them. So far I've managed one other vest. I'd forgotten how tricky it is to sew in such a tiny size.

 

Why there isnt any torso joint on Pang or Bebe Pang? I think it would give much more options for posing. Well they are cute, gotta admit that, but luckily still not for me. But still I can't wait to see some owner pics.

 

Hi guys! I just ordered one of the Bye Bye Baha's the other day, apparently they had some left over? I know the date has long passed that they said was the last day for orders for them, so I was totally surprised and thrilled when I signed on and they still had some listed!

I was so torn between a pink and a white Baha. I would LOVE a pink one, but in the Pipos pictures, it looked really really PINK. If it had been a softer pink, like the ones sold years ago, I would have jumped on it. Since it looked so bright, I decided to go with the white.....I've always loved the white Baha's.

BTW, have any of you seen, or do you have, the "Carrot Rooney"?? He's the most gorgeous color of yellow/light orange resin, really adorable!

Anyway, I came here to ask current Baha owners if they know of any other bjd's that he is close in size to, that I might be able to buy clothes that would fit him? Someone said that some Littlefee clothes might work. My Baha will be a girl, so dresses or things that look girly is what I'm looking for. What about Lati Yellow, is he close in size to them? I just want to purchase a couple cute things to last until I can get some things made for her.

Oh, and how about shoes for the human feet? Any ideas?

I'm looking for a crown for my Baha. Could anyone maybe help me with some measurements? Maybe the distance between the ears and the distance between the inside of one ear and the outside of the other? I'm not sure I'll be able to make one that's as nice as I'd like, so I'm trying to see what I can find for sale that will fit...

roni207 Congrats getting a Baha! Pi -sized dolls like Baha can also wear 8" Ginny doll dresses. Theres a long time when I ordered Piposdoll, so I'm not sure about shipping time, but maybe a month?

 

@Drensik - Do you mind you if I PM you measurements with several pics of the head with a measuring tape? I find it can be really helpful to see actual pics of the measurements. I'd post them on the discussion thread, but the one pic restriction via rules kind of nullifies that.

Thank you! When I got her originally (back years ago, when I had a pink Baha for her) I couldn't figure out what to name her and was outside walking around with her in her box. This was in the Spring and the honeysuckle was blooming, so it stuck! Not sure if it fits her, lol. She's sort of a bossy heavy handed kitty, not one bit like a sweet honeysuckle! But I love it.

Just have to say, I have loved going through this thread. It's been great go see everyone opinions on the dolls and the company. I'm planning on ordering a pipos anthro as my first doll. I'm going to order direct from Pipos due to a lack of dealers in the UK/EU.

I ordered the happy line Aloha frog. I've been besotted with her for a couple of weeks now. She completely turned my bjd dreams on it's head. I had only really seen cat and rabbit dolls before someone sent me the link to her as I had been set on an elf like doll for years. I have 5 pet frogs/toads, and she really reminded me of a white's tree frog froglet that was just finishing it's metamorphosis, so she was a no brainier really. I already have her name and have designed a couple of possible face ups. I thought the Pipos one was really pretty, but maybe a bit to heavy for how I envision my girl to be so I will do it myself.

 

Please take lots of pics when she arrives! I think the frogs are adorable but I don't really have a place for them right now. So as far as anthro dolls go I'll probably stick with mostly cats and maybe at some point a cheese mouse.

 

Oh I really can't wait to see what you do with her. I too think the frogs are adorable but don't really fit in with my collection. I have Pipos cats, rabbits and mice.

Aww look at them! I must admit at first Ringo was my least favorite of their cat sculpts at first (to busy being adoring of pang). But I watched a Ringo box opening the other day,and from an angle looking up at the face i was overawed how sweet their expression is. All shy and adorable

Oh my, I'm totally melting here for that cuteness! So many adorable Ringo's! Ringo's are defiently one of top 3 from Pipos (other two is cheshires and Charlotte).

I am loving the cheshire Pang so much, but I will have to live vicariously through everyone else's babies as I won't be adding one to my collection. Hopefully there will be plenty of pic span to see in this thread once they reach their new homes.

I'd also like to see some blank Cheshire pangs. I'm not so convinced by them I love Cheshire's, because I think they just look like naughty kittens. But I think the Cheshire pangs look a bit more like they've had a breakdown and are about to go on some kind of rampage! I think it's their very open eyes.

 

@Zedpea , yes, that's exactly it lol! Maybe they'd look calmer with slightly bigger eyes in.

Today makes 2 months waiting for my Bebe Pang I know its not that long but Pipos shipped my Heero after only 4 weeks, so I didn't expect it to take longer this time.

Hers a quick photo of her with Ringo-shes quite a bit bigger! One thing that didn't show in the website photos is the back of her head is almost completely flat. I guess it helps her balance on such a small body, but it makes profile shots impossible...
