Hugo does look dapper . . . in a slightly menacing (but good) type of way, lol!

 

She is lovely, NoDivision. And that dress is marvelous! When I had my Charlotte I used to dress her in vintage Sindy doll outfits as Barbie outfits were too small.

 

Your girl is very sweet Chehime. I think she works very well as a hybrid.

 

I want to own an Anthro, and it will be my first BJD. I want her ti be really special, so can someone help me? [emoji4]

There are a great many anthros on the market, Schuyler. You need to ask yourself a number of questions including: do I want a particular animal (do you prefer cats or bunnies or . .. )? Do I want a male or female doll? What sort of size do I want (tiny or a bigger one -- even Pipos has different sizes for its antros) and perhaps the most important question is : How much do I want to spend?

There are lots of different threads on DoA that have anthros so you should take some time to take a look at them all and that may help. It really is a personal preference thing.

 

Hello, everyone! I just got back from a trip overseas. I took my Baby Cheshire, Peter, with me as a "mascot." I took some pix of him at various locales. Here is one of him at Inveraray Castle in Scotland:

Peter does look like he's having a good time . . .but he'd better be careful! A great many people have been held prisoner in that castle over the years, lol!

 

Man, I'm so happy. I finally got my Mini Cheese Mouse in. So now, Iris, my violet cheese mouse, and her baby sister, Apple, are together.

 

they are both gorgeous! and I love the little room/nest you have made for them.

 

MichelleAK, what a perfect photo! Peter looks like he's having a marvelous time. What a wonderful travelling companion to accompany you on that awesome journey!

Mizukichama, your girls are positively gorgeous in that color...it's so rich and they look so adorable cuddling like that.

 

spensers_mom, I wish I could take credit for that. That's actually Apple's Pipos box (they very recently - like within the last 3-4 weeks - switched back to their nicer boxes from the paper ones). She was packed with all that cute nest-like material and wrapped in a foam shipping bag. I just removed the foam bag and set them up in the box on some pictures I've been meaning to hang on the wall. ^^;

But thank you guys, I am super stoked. They're hanging out on my desk now, but I'll probably try and set up some cute pictures later. =w=

 

Awww! They look great together! And that's good news about the box change. I really didn't like the flimsy one.

spencers_mom, thank you so much! I'm still trying to decide on an overall look and personality, but I think I'm getting much closer!

 

I am not sure . . . but it is a very good question. I had a Charlotte and she fit Sindy sized clothes. But those U.PI dolls look wonderful. But I wish there were beast feet for them.

 

I have a Charlotte and she can wear Tonner clothes. Hope that helps.

 

Iris got some new eyes and Apple got some new toys, one of which is in this picture. She also got a rubber ducky, a purple dragon, a frog, and a bald eagle. Seeing how gorgeous Iris's new urethane eyes are, I may have to replace Apple's default glass ones someday... We'll see.

 

Wow! Talk about choosing the perfect eyes for your lavender mouse, Iris! She looks absolutely amazing! And little Apple looks so cute with her tiny unicorn toy too.

 

Did you guys see the new Curo? They significantly changed the sculp… I'm not a fan. Olive in particular looks almost deformed.

 

I actually rather like the new bunny body, since the old one wasn't very bunny-like at all, but I can definitely say that it's not quite as versatile as the standard anthro body. Shoes would not be something it could wear, and pants would likely be difficult too. I think it has its charms in terms of aesthetics, but that may be all it has. (And not even that in some cases, as there are definitely people out there who agree with you on it making them look deformed, Bears.)

 

But isn't there body option also? At least I tought so for last pics, that you can choice the new bunny body or that more human like. I think Curo Thunder is absolutely cute, but no needs to bunny over here.

 

Yeah, I was studying it the other day and I decided I actually like the bunny-like hips… it's just below that when you see the bowed legs and weird feet.. they just look overly rounded to me. Bunnies don't have bowed legs.

Thunder was interesting. I think I don't need another Curo, but it's good that they started releasing them again.

 

Finally had sometime to go trough the fall pics. Cheshire's are best stress relievers ever!

 

So I'm trying to start gathering a more varied wardrobe for my charlotte. he can fit reasonably well into some of the old barbie and other fashion doll clothes I had laying around for my pullips - what other fashion doll clothes are a good fit for the r.pi female body?

NoDivision - there are quite a few Charlotte owners on here, so I am sure they can help you. I don't have a Charlotte, but in checking her measurements in comparison to Blythe, and it is pretty similar. Charlotte's chest is 1 cm bigger, and her waist is 2 cm bigger. Everything else is the same, pretty much. So maybe you can find some non fitted Blythe clothes that might work for her.

 

Yes, love those bright, spring colors in the darkness of autumn/winter!

No idea on the r.pi females. I have cheesemice, tomo, happy line trudy, and ... the fox.. robin?

 

NoDivision as the Pepperonipizza said the Blythe clothes fits. Clothes are little bit tight, but looks fine at least with dresses. With sleeves you might have to take the hands off (speacially if you use the beast hands). Here's one really old pic of Blythe dress:

Thanks for the info. I pulled out some of my old pullip clothes and was happy to find that they're a pretty good fit - dresses at least! (excuse the horible pixely mess of this photo, flickr did something awful to it :\ )

Lol, Arenath, if it wasn't for my one PI girl and one Jr. PI girl, I would be feeling the same as you! I really prefer the boys, but have managed to have 2 girls. It was only Honeysuckle my Baha for the longest time. Then I added my cheese mouse girl. That's it though for me!

Okay, I have the dumbest question, but how on earth do you do the @ username thing to mention people? I can't figure it out!!

 

It is used to notify the person that they've been mentioned in a post, and I actually thought mine wasn't working until I noticed that I hadn't activated my alert settings after the server change. Just type the @ with the name following directly after...no space in between.

 

MichelleAK What a nice pic! Little guy looks so happy beeing DJ and little kitty has a lovely dress!

 

Iris had a reunion with her best friend, Hannah, over Christmas. (And Apple's playing in the background, because.... she can.)

 

@pepperonipizza You just type the at sign and the user name, with no space between the at sign and the user Id. But you have to have a space Behind the user id. Depending on your server speed, or your device (this doesn't work on my tablet, but does on my pc), as you type in the user name, there will pop up a drop down menu of suggested user names. You can then find the one you want and click on it. It will auto fill and put in that following space for you, and you can type away at your response. ^__^

Made some pyjamas the other day....2 hoods later I think I've cracked it lol

Ahhhh… I stepped away from my computer, came back, saw PIPOS sent a newsletter at 9PM announcing the LAST time they will sell Mac… and he's already sold out!! I'm so upset. I was begging them to rerelease him and apparently he's gone for good now… so sad..

I really hope whatever new series they replace these doll lines with, they have another puppy… I need a puppy BJD!
