I just went looking for Pipos PI dolls on the Pipos website, and could barely find any

Has Pipos moved on from making anthros, or do they just tend to focus on different sizes/styles of dolls at different times? I remember so badly wanting a Dali and a Bao and one of the puppy sculpts at one point, and now I can't even find them to look at old sales photos!

 

I have a question... when trying to start a layaway directly through Pipos, do they have to confirm your plan before you start paying on it? Or do you just send them the deposit that you've calculated yourself and then go from there?

 

sharnofshade Pretty much they focus different dolls on different time's. Now a days feels like lot of during event seasons is dolls released. Sometime's also old dolls including seasons and maybe some skin-color choice's. Bao was on event about year ago (can't keep track of time anymore), right? And it's been while when they re-released on Dali? I have been following Pipos website on about 4.years now (well mostly only cat dolls), but the puppy Mac, havent been re-released. Always can ask on Pipos, never knows what they have on their mind.
Mizukichama Sorry can't help you, never done the layway on Pipos.

 

Mizukichama - I think you just send the payment after writing them on the Q&A your order number and lay away plan. And then you send them another message in the Q&A that you made the first payment and the PayPal number and your order number. Or you can combine that info into one message. (That's what I do)
They then confirm they received the first payment as a reply to your message.

Yeah, I actually read the layaway information through about four or five times before asking here, because I didn't think that whether you just calculate it yourself and pay them or they calculate it and tell you what to pay was clearly stated. Anyway, I did just end up sending the deposit to their layaway paypal with my order number and stuff and they FINALLY confirmed it two days later. >.>

Well, with that beginning to get handled at least, my Violet Cheese Mouse, Iris, is gonna have an adorable Violet Mini Cheese Mouse baby sister. I think I'm gonna name her Apple.

 

YAY for baby sister! Apple's a cute name. ^_^

Mizukichama Sisters are just great and congrats on ordering! Melina (mint one) thinks baby sister are awesome, I think it has something to do herself beeing a baby sister Iris has really cute overalls!

 

If they ever re-release Mac, Curo or Dali, I will somehow make sure I bring them home! I miss so many of the old sculpts.

I think I am smitten with Loa (the rabbit) on the new Happy Line body. And it would seem their size is very very close to that of Lati Yellows so they might be able to wear LY clothes. Does anyone here have a Happy Line doll they could spam? And any ideas about Lati Yellow clothes? (I am close to ordering but want to make sure I can clothe the little dear, I mean rabbit, first!)

 

Spencers_mom, I'm afraid I don't have a Loa yet, but I compared their measurements with LatiYellow and Pukifees and they were indeed extremely close. I really think they should be able to share clothes.

 

That's what I thought after looking a the measurements, PoeticSoul. Now just to figure out if I want more than one . . . sigh.

 

I just realised that I hadn't shared a picture of Pocket's finished paint-job! So here he is, Pockets Pintuck my Patchwork Mouse!



He was made by Nialy (my Teenie Gem Ai), out of some of her scraps and was enchanted by her master, the wizard Oz (my JID Colin). He is brave, chivalrous and intensely curious about the world. Because he is made of cloth he can't be physically hurt, but combined with his naivety this often leads him to being unintentionally reckless or ending up perilous situations, where Nialy is usually the one to save him.

 

Pockets is adorable! What a piece of art he is, too.

 

Pockets is so fabulous...and what a wonderful storyline too. He's so full of character.

 

Greetings, I was thinking of ordering a doll direct from Pipos. I have never ordered direct from pipos. Does anyone know if you have to send the payment manually through your paypal or when you check out does it automatically take you to paypal an you pay that way? I will be grateful if anyone can let me know

 

I have ordered directly from Pipos but it was such a long time ago, I cannot remember for sure. I believe they took me to paypal but as I say it was at least 3 years ago and things might have changed since then. But when I did order from them, everything was really wonderful and I had no complaints whatsoever.

Anyone else with a more recent experience than mine? I would be interested in hearing about it as well.

 

It's been a while for me too, but iirc, it takes you right to PayPal, or gives you a link.

Here is my Pipos Tomo with an even newer arrival, but not a Pipos-- she's a Dearmine Lupy. Only 12cm. They are both semi-aquatic, so they kind of work together!

 

Awww! They DO go well together! So cute! I love seeing the lupys coming in. Wish I had the money for one when they came out. So cute!

 

They do work very well together, April. And they are wonderfully cute! I was wondering about getting the Tomo on the Happy Body and had just about decided against it, but your photo makes that sculpt look so cute I have to rethink it.

Im excited because I was able to snag a secondhand caramel colored Vanilla Ringo I had planned to get one for a long time and then she got discontinued.
Tsai is finally getting his little sister!

I have an R.Pi Charlotte coming to live with me, I'm so excited! I had to sell my last pipos doll a while back because my cat was very sick, so I'm happy to have another one coming back

That's wonderful news, NoDivision! I know just how you feel because something similar happened to me and the day I stumbled across a Pipos Curo second hand in the marketplace at long last, and was able to bring him home, was a happy day indeed. So congratulations!

It is so strange having a huuge doll when I am used to tinies. He doesn't seem like he would be too difficult to pose, despite being a bit ungainly. He moves well and seems willing to hold himself how I move him - which is what I expect from Pipos dolls. I didn't think he would, but he was actually able to stand on his own! I think he'll be spending most of his life sitting though and he doesn't really seem to want to sit straight on a flat surface...

See how he leans backwards? I couldn't get him to sit up straight. It makes me nervous to have him sitting on his own, so I moved him to the couch for now.

The detail in his scupt is wonderful. I didn't take a photo, but I just LOVE his hands… I haven't unwrapped his beast hands yet.

I am going to look into how much it might cost to get his body painted, as I don't know how to do such things nor do I have the supplies. His unpainted body really bothers me, lol.. I think that it would really take advantage of all the detail they put into the sculpt.

 

Hes awesome Bears! He really is majestic looking. It would be cool if you could get his body painted with patches to match his face

Little Suu arrived! I have literally nothing that she can wear, she is so tiny. Hopefully I can find or make her a little cheongsam soon.

 

Yeah, I definitely want to get his body painted, but I think I'm just going to do regular shading though, to draw attention to all the detail they put into the musculature. As far as patches… I wish I was more imaginative. I can't see how it would look, so I'm afraid to do it xD;;

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share my Pipos Derek with a group that loves Pipos as much as I do.
He was my first doll, and he's approaching 4 or 5 years now. He recently got a big scuff on his cheek from a dropping accident, and being it was so deep, is coming to my home soon with a different face-up. But, Hugo and I are loving all of your beautiful Pipos family members!~

That outfit though! I think its absolutely perfect! It fits him so well. He looks stunning! The colors and fur on the hat are my favorite parts.

Hugo's faceup actually shipped soon after that post, and I think it gives him a totally different personality side to him and its a lot closer to what I wanted in the first place for him! Eyes make such a big difference. The artist did such a good job! (Fix was done by Resin Junky here on DoA, I can take no credit for how he looks now!)

 

My new love arrived safe and sound today after her long journey from Australia

 

For some reason it NEVER occurred to me to post here! Probably because my girl is a hybrid. I bought her head (which I think is a Charlotte head) at the San Diego BJD con a few years ago. Then got her an SQLab KSG-L body (in the WRONG COLOR!!) of the MP.

At any rate- here is my Kiki! She's named after Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service and I've pretty much settled on this one look for her! PLUS she's the only doll I have that can fit those boots!
