Pipos Anthro discussion part 2

Apr 1, 2015

    1. @kurogane Yay! So excited on your behalf haha XD And I love it when dolls tell us their names. So much easier when you just look at their little faces and the name is already there! Poe is a cute name too :3

    2. This is why I miss meets and conventions so much!! Trying on different eyes, wigs and clothing is always 1,000% better in person than online gambling.

I wish everyone luck on their quests for the perfect eyes. I have three critters that I’m still searching for their forever eyes.

    3. Anyone else seen that Cheshire and Cheshire stars are having a re-release?? I'm super tempted, i love the Cheshire but i don't think I can justify the cost at the moment :frownyblush::atremblin

    4. My Hoya arrived today! Wow, the tan color is fabulous! I’m glad I decided to go ahead and get him. The eyes that came with him are a nice blue anime style and are perfect, so I was double lucky. I just realized, is Hoya on topic? He doesn’t have all the joints. Anyway, I love my little Poe and will have to keep up with any new Pipos releases.

      • x 1
    5. Yes! Everybody needs a Cheshire!

    6. Glad you got your little foxy. No the Animi series is not on topic, due to lack of joints which is a shame :( but thems the rules.

      @spih stop enabling me! :lol::XD:

    7. @Zedpea thanks for clarification, I figured as much. Humm, so now I need an on topic Pipos, so I can share. :evilplot:

    8. @kurogane yay XD the anime style eyes are so cute! I think I might have descended into squeaky "omg how cute is this doll aaaah!" when I first got mine out of the box haha. :D So happy that you like him!

(Hoya and other animi are off topic... but I think everyone loves them too much to not talk about them. Sorry, mods)

    9. Hey Pipos Fanatics! Thought I'd share the rad news today that Na! Na! Na! Surprise doll clothes fit Jr. Pi dolls! Even the shoes fit Crepe! Here's a photo of all the outfits I've collected for her so far in case anyone wanted to see!

    10. Lovely pics! Thanks for sharing the clothes fit!

    11. Hey all! I just put the last pink pop Cheshire on layaway at DDE. Does anyone here have pop Cheshire cuties to share while I wait for mine? :love:love

      • x 3
    12. @KikiBJD i wondered where all these cute clothes appeared from!!

      • x 1
    13. Congrats Pepperonipizza! Those Pop Cheshires are so cute! (sorry, I don't have one to share...:...()

    14. Oh yay! I saw her disappear the other day and wondered who purchased her! While I don’t have one myself, I can’t wait to see yours! :D

    15. Hi all! Okay so I have always wanted a Cheshire Cat since I first saw them... Maybe back in 2008? I think I am finally going to order a grey one with type A tail! I know, what took me so long right?! Even though the beautiful mint color isn’t available (sad) I can’t resist those mischievous little pointy teeth any longer!

I’m wondering though, what are your likes and dislikes with the body? Where / what size is best for clothing? Does anyone have a side-by-side comparison of their normal hands vs. the beast hands?

    16. @blackcat87 yaaaay for ordering a Cheshire! I don’t have one personally, but I do have two Bahas myself which I want to say are on the same bodies? Someone can correct me if I’m wrong on that. :sweat I’ve found that some YoSD shirts and dresses fit if the sleeves aren’t too long and the necks are enclosed more. YoSD shorts can fit them like pants. My Realfee Coco Fullset clothes fit them as well as the Blythe clothes I’m modified to fit my Realfee. For Blythe clothes, they would need to be wider at the waist because they have a thicc bottom side. :XD: They’re a ton of fun to dress though, so I hope you’re able to find some things you like! If you’re unsure of an outfit, I highly recommend comparing measurements as that’s what I’ve always done and it has worked out for me thus far! :3nodding: If you ever want someone’s thoughts on an outfit before you buy it, feel free to message me! I’d be happy to help!

      • x 1
    17. @KikiBJD thank you I feel better starting my search for clothes now, I didn't really know where to begin comparing them with other sizes as I’ve always stuck to MSD and SD in the past, this little Cheshire will be new territory (I’m so excited :XD:)

      • x 1
    18. @blackcat87 it's definitely new territory when compared to those sizes! :) What’s nice about tinies is that they can sometimes share pieces so it makes it a lot of fun to find them new outfits. I really enjoy finding clothes for all of my Pipos dolls! :love

    19. Hello, I’m also thinking about placing an order for a Cheshire Cat. I’m used to ordering through DDE for dolls since I live in the USA. Does anyone here know if placing an order straight to the Pipos company runs smoothly from the USA? I don’t see the option to order the Cheshire Cat through DDE, so I was just going to place the order through Pipos. I haven’t done this before. Thanks I’m advance

    20. I dunno about the US, but I'm in the UK and have always ordered straight from Pipos. :D Unless there's something that can go wrong that wouldn't here...

Oh, and I have always found communication with them to be good. :3 They even didn't mind me checking that the doll I wanted would still be available later XD which is kinda a small thing to be bugging a company about. I might be extra biased because when I placed 2 orders close together (I was surprised by Doma being released lol), they offered to combine them for me and saved me money. XD

(Spoiler: just started layaway on the two Pipos dolls on my wishlist! Hoorah! Animi Chichi and Animi Yang fwiw)

Oh and congrats to all the new Cheshire owners :D

I’ve finally figured out how to post photos. These are my two cheese mice I picked up from DDE. I did the mini mouse’s faceup myself. They decided to dress up for their first official photo.

      • x 4
    22. Oh my gosh I love them! They’re so cute! :D I love the opposite coloring for their dresses and resin colors!

      • x 1
    23. @Taffy_ta_Sweet oh my...what an adorable photo of your little ones! They both look amazingly sweet and that pink resin is utterly divine.:)

      • x 1
    24. Thank you both! Have little anthro cuties is super fun!

    25. I know for DDE if they don’t have something for order available on their listings that you can always ask. It’s possible that they are only available through Pipos directly, but that does seem a bit unlikely. I’ve only ordered my Pipos dolls through DDE before, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t run smoothly. The only thing I could imagine is the current shipping inconveniences because of COVID, but the world is seemingly getting back on their feet postage wise after months of a confusing and slow system. They’re such a nice company to work with though, so I think either way would be just fine! :3nodding:

    26. Thanks so much for your help. First I tried to order through Pipos directly, but my computer reported the site was not secure so I sent an email to DDE and asked them if it was possible to order through them. Then I looked at their Pipos dolls again for sale, and noticed they had recently added the Cheshire Cat and Star Cheshire to their pre-order list and finally I got to order one. I’m SO excited. I wonder how long it will take for them to make the order and for me to receive it. I’m used to Fairyland taking up to three and four months. I just can’t wait to get my hands on this adorable cat!

      • x 1
    27. From what I know the wait is about the same as Fairyland for preorder dolls. It might be a tad longer for the doll to arrive to DDE because of the shipping mess that is caused by COVID right now, but I haven’t seen anything anywhere that would indicate Pipos as being slow right now. :3nodding:

    28. Thanks for letting me know, I kinda figured it would take that long but was of course hoping someone would say... naw, a couple months tops ! ...:3nodding: I would love to see some Cheshire spam. I now have to figure out how to dress the little guy.

    30. I think it depends on whether you're getting a faceup or not. My Hoya and Doma took around 2 months to make I think, but I go for blank dolls so...

(My Doma did get caught up in the worst covid shipping blip, and took almost a month to arrive. I have received dolls from Korea since though, and they arrived much faster. About normal speed for the post. Hopefully it's still okay!)

Edit: @Taffy_ta_Sweet I forgot to say, your cheese mice are so cute! I almost went for a mini pink one :3 because so sweet! They look gorgeous together all dressed up. :D

    31. blackcat87 For bodies I like that there is two joints in torso part, one in the chest and one in the little bit over hip and it gives a much more posability. Same time it can be problem, if the stringing is too loose, because it leans (or flaps) around, but with right string tight (and maybe some hot glue sueding), it's super. Overall I really do like the body. KikiBJD mention the Baha body, but Baha body there's no joints at torso (at least that's the first release of the Bahas and I think that's the case of rerealeses also). For size wise the Baha and Cheshire are sama size.
Taffy_ta_Sweet Oh what a cutie mice's there, what a sweet dresses!
Brenay For me the wait times at Piposdoll have been about two months, including the face-ups. And congrats getting cheshire, they are one sweet smiley faces.
spih What a cute fisher there! Love the overalls.

    33. Aw what a pair of cuties! I love Doma so much. :D congrats, they look absolutely precious!

    34. Thank you! They are absolutely adorable. They are painted so beautifully, and are amazingly balanced for being so small. I'm really glad I got them and wish I had gotten one of each color now, lol.

    35. Monni has borrowed Deimos's motorcycle to take Pilli and Pulla on a fishing trip. However, Deimos does not seem to agree...

Deimos: "Stop! I did not give you permission to borrow my motorcycle! You don't even have helmets!"

Don't let crazy cats borrow your motorcycle...

    36. I love the photos!

    37. They are so cute (and so naughty)! Cheshires are certainly a handful.

    38. Here is a terrible picture of my babies
      [IMG]
Isabella (white mouse), Delilah (Charlotte) and Maus (cheese mouse)

I love the Charlotte head, but I'm discovering that I kind of don't like the long body. She won't stand without a fight (and only if I bend her knees and move her feet just so). She'll flop at the waist because her head is so big. And she can't point her toes, which is weird. Do I just need to restring her, or are there other bodies that will work (and match the "off white" color)? I'm also finding it difficult to find clothes for her. I have the fullset so at least she's not naked, but I want her to have more dresses!

@Taffy_ta_Sweet your mice are adorable! I love the color schemes with the dresses. How do you feel about the mini mouse? I've been tempted by them many times but I'm kind of put off by the fact that they don't have knee joints... or even sit without different leg parts?

    39. Thank you! Your Pipos family is adorable as well. The tiny mouse is super sweet. She fits in some ob11 and Pukipuki clothes. I actually haven’t even used her sitting legs yet. I imagine though that once I do I’ll leave them for a bit instead of always going back and forth. So for now she is always standing - which is fine, really!

    40. JinCIncy Oh they are sweet looking, no wonder that would like to get hole color strike of them.
spih Wow, that motorcycle is super cool! Hopefully he can get motorcycle back and it's in one piece after Cheshires ride on it.
Featherfire Lovely group picture. Too bad the new body doesn't work for you, have you tried some hot glue sueding on the waist part, maybe that would help to flopping problem?

And some more Cheshire love to thread:

    41. Oooh everyone's pictures are sooo cute!
I've recently stepped back into the bjd scene and I am in looove with Doma, what a cutie!

What happened to all the other pipos animals, I thought they had a bunny. Did they discontinue a lot of older sculpts or are they event only?

I'm ordering some dolls in October I think, was just wondering what I missed haha.

    42. I was under the impression they had other dolls around the size of their Cheshire as well (Baha cat, dog, bunny?), but I've been out of the loop with BJDs for years, so I'm not sure what happened to those sculpts.

I'm hoping to get a Cheshire soon. I'm just debating if I want a ghost version or not. I always wanted a cheshire, but missed out of the LE ones and wasn't crazy about the old basic face up back when I was in the hobby, but now that I've realized they updated their basic face ups, I'll hopefully get one soon!

    43. @Elzamine Well they had discontinue announcement for some scuplts like Heero, Baha, Mac (dog) and Bao (fox), but I don't remember any announcement for the bunny Curo (and was there another bunny sculpt also?). It's possible they are at event dolls, with some special colors. I remember seeing some announcement recently saying that Baha could be ordered certain time again, but I can't find that information anymore, so maybe they cancelled it? Well only way to find out for sure is ask to Pipos directly are they gonna release Curo again.
@DawnDusk Cheshires are such a joy, hope you find the cheshire with right make-up one soon!

    44. I received a notice from Pipos that my mini Pangs (white and grey), Wawa (pistachio) and off-topic Marikos (pink and grey) have shipped, so I'm really excited!! I've been looking at Middie Blythe clothing for the two Marikos, but I'm having a hard time finding lati yellow/pukifee sized things that I like that will fit the JR.PI body. I've been browsing on etsy, but I wanted to know if there was a faster option to build a quick wardrobe before the boys arrive. :kitty2

EDIT: Nendoroid Dolls are closer to Obitsu11 size, so their clothes won’t fit the JR.PI body!! I’m not going to buy any for my little Pipos boys. :3nodding:

    45. Your Doma is cute!

I received two Pipos Charlottas with new bodies and they can't stand at all... I will try to restring them. Does anybody know companies that produces grey bodies about 30 cm?
What eyes can suit Pipos Charlotte dolls ? Where to find good quality cat eyes??

    46. I have some eye questions too! My Cheshire will be coming in soon... could some of you share what the random eyes looked like that came with your cats? I’m debating if I should get a different pair for him ahead of time or not. If they’re decent eyes then I might just stick with the default for now. Do you have a favorite eye brand for your cats? What’s the best size? Sorry for the millions of questions, but I appreciate the help and pictures!

    47. Where do you get your clothes or patterns for these bjds from?

    48. Got the email from Pipos about the Halloween Cheesemouse. The website still shows the order period for 2019 so I was confused. I havent been buying any BJD stuff for years but I’m very tempted. I havent seen any pics of the Halloween Cheesemouse.

also their website says “Outfit Option A or B” but doesn’t show a picture anywhere of what that means... Seems like their website has gone a little downhill since last time I looked

      • x 1
    49. They can wear a lot of LatiYellow dresses; my mouse is wearing a full outfit of that size, with Blythe shoes.

    50. Those orange cheese mice are tempting... I don't have any anthros but my Puki Puki Pukisha.

    51. They are tempting. After asking them twice, they finally put up the photo for outfit Option A + B.
I am just wary of making a decision when I might be influenced by the holiday. Will I still enjoy it in December? Hmm

    52. I have two Halloween mini Pangs from last year. And I have been enjoying them all year long.

    53. What is better than a sidekick? Two sidekicks! Or maybe not...

Pulla: "I'm number one sidekick, I'll carry the big bucket!"
Pilli: "No! I'm number one! Give me the bucket! You can carry the bucket of worms!"
Monni: "Stop fighting, you idiots! All the worms are escaping!"

    55. What a fantastic Halloween photo, chibi-kagu! Cheshires sure are a handful, but a very adorable handful.

    56. Uh-oh, I've just seen the twitter teaser for a new 'snow' charlotte face up. and omgoodness, it's a lovely looking face up! Just when I was telling myself that I'm not going to buy any more dolls unless a limited really wows me as my resin family has grown a lot and I have a backlog of projects. And then Pipos comes along with this pretty face up :XD:

Hi, sorry if this reply is a bit too late but I like to put my blue rose Charlotte head on my Luts 31cm honey body when I want a change from her armour body. The head/neck fits well, just needs a kips disk to get it to sit nice and comfy, and the Luts body is a great poser. I know Luts do offer grey skin during some of their events so might worth keeping an eye out for it. I don't know how well the grey will match though! It's a shame to hear the Pipos 30cm body is so poor at standing and posing, I was hoping for some improvements with the new body :nowords:
Edit: also remembered that Dreaming Doll do a 31cm body and offers a grey skin option ^^

    57. I thought I would never get into smaller dolls other than msd until I saw Snow Charlotte and immediately bought her! I chose the long body since I dont like having more smaller, child size proportions to the head size.

From looking at the measurements on the site, it looks like the new 30cm long body waist is a bit thicker than the regular R.PI size, so I was wondering what clothes size would fit the body. Will it still fit Yo-SD sized clothes?

    58. (Hopefully this is the right place to ask.) My new Pipos Charlotte arrived from DDE yesterday and I am head over heals in love with her!! That being said, I'm not 100% sure how to attach her tail part. What can I use to attach the magnet that won't damage/yellow her body? I was thinking E6000, but I wanted to ask before using something so permanent.

    59. E6000 will work just fine. Super glue works too. I’ve never had difficulty with either of those causing any discoloration. And congratulations on your Charlotte! She’s such a lovely sculpt.:)
