    1. This is my favourite at the moment :3

    2. Far from the best picture I've ever taken. Or the most artful. Or even the prettiest doll. But this is Kyre, my first doll, on his first day in my life. He had magic then and he does today. And man, did he ever open a new book in my life.

    3. I posed my little Rosey in front of a triple mirror. :) I thought it came out really cute.

    4. I had an awful camera at the time, and I had no clue what I was doing, but I still love this photo...

    5. I was going to put up a picture of my yo tenshi, Veronie, but Tobienne has come a long way in the past three years as far as looks, and I loved him in this shot.

    6. because she looks so alive :D

      I love Alice.
I don't have many pictures of her, but the ones where she just looks full of emotion are the ones I'm most proud of. [:

    7. This is mine:

    8. Close call, but it had to be this one of Amandine:

Not only do I love this pose (nevermind the hair caught in her eyelash), but I am so impressed with myself for getting this picture. This might have been the most ghetto set-up in the history of all my doll photos. For one, the background a t-shirt of mine. She's on my desk, leaning on my external hard drive, and the only lighting is from my desk lamp. And we won't even talk about the craphole of an alcove my desk was in (no light penetrated that window. Ever).

Amandine is now a blue-eyed blonde, but I still ADORE this photo of her :)

    9. Hard call! This is one of about three favorites, really, but I think the fewest people have seen it, so it's due some love:

    10. This is great thread - beautiful photos filled with love for each doll.

For me is it this one.
My Arabian boy Efrain - Alice in Labyrinth Bertramยดs head.

Happy 5th Anniversary to all, by the way ;)

    11. There are so many lovely photos on this thread! :) Each one is so special!

I'm choosing this photo because I just love it to bits~ It was my first shoot with indoor lighting, and I was amazed it came out so well. :smallcake

:aheartbea Happy 5th Anniversary DoA! :aheartbea

    12. I lovelovelove this thread! Everyone's obviously in love with their dolls. <3 Here's my favourite photo:

I also really love the one in my icon. 8D

    13. one of my favorites, it was hard to pick one...

    14. [IMG]

      Well... this was hard. D: Not too hard since I don't take the best photos, but hard enough. ;___;'' S'too bad Puhari managed to lose that hat. >__>;;
-w- that whole shoot was pretty good to me~

    15. I was surprised this even turned out. I'm holding up his left elbow and trying to take the picture at the same time. The color was so bad and beyond my ability to correct I had to make it b/w but it seems to have worked.

    16. We were just playing around one morning and this was one of the results.

    17. [IMG]
My fav of my oldest boy will be one year in a couple of weeks since he arrived in my life. This was on trip DH & I took in Canada. This is Public Gardens in Halifax

    18. My favorite of my Jaya. It was his first day out in the sun (though inbetween shots I was sticking the poor boy in the shade). I just love the way he's looking at the camera as if he's saying something to me and how his eyes mezmorize me.

    19. [IMG]

I think this is one of my favourite shots from recently. I love my Bing Bing, she's got such attitude!

    20. The one and only perfect picture (to me) that I've taken. It's my old Narae during the holidays:

    21. I have always been partial to my first photoshoot, at least so far this is one of my faves. This pic is not photoshopped or edited at all, other than resized.

    22. Somehow just the right things were in focus in this photo to really bring out the features I love about this doll.

    23. Nothing fabulous, but this picture pretty much sums up everything I love about her:

    24. Sometimes the ight just cooperates...

    25. Took this recently... I think it's my fav of the moment. The sky was co operating, and so was my boy. lol!

    26. :) I agree with what others have said about it being interesting to see what the owners consider to be their personal favorite. It's great to see such a wonderful & uniquely special collection of BJD photos! :aheartbea :hamster:

After much hair-pulling, I'm going with this photo of Rookwood (Volks SD17 Scarface Reisner). The photo was shot in front of a computer's LED lights at 2am, only 5 hours after I opened him. I was trying to get a feel for his personality and photographing Volks sculpts was still a new & challenging thing for me. It's not the best photo techincally, but something about it just nailed Rookwood's character. I could see the ocean in his eye, and just like the ocean, I could stare at it all day long. :| Ugghhh... how sappy is that?! :doh

;) LOL Hallmark moment aside, this doll represents much of the insanity, amusement and perverted discussions with friends that make this hobby fun. I think that is what gives Rookwood such a omnipotent smirk. He is not the most realistic or detailed sculpt, and I couldn't tell you exactly why I adore it so much... but this photo pretty well sums it up for me. ^_^

    27. Hardly to choose my favorite picture.

Just have a fun and enjoy it.

    28. hmm
My all-time favorite (so far) is definitely this one:

      :)

    29. [IMG]
While this is his old faceup, the piercing quality of his gaze here just stuns me every time.

    30. I was really inspired when I took this shot... wish that could happen again, lol.
This is my favorite just because I like the sense of emptiness it conveys. It's not the greatest pic otherwise, but it's my favorite.

    31. [IMG]

My absolute favorite. I loved the way the sunset was coming through the trees behind him. He almost looked real! O:

    32. I really like this picture of my sweetie pie Otis(tender lahoo) I love the bright colors:lol:

    33. Ancient picture is ancient but I still love how it turned out. This was before her reincarnation into my Ipsae^_^

    34. This is the first one that came to my mind. I always thought she looked very real here.

    35. I think this is my favorite. I like the peaceful, warm feeling it has. And it's the most Idris-y of my pictures of Idris.

    36. [IMG]

The first picture I was really like 'Whooaaaa did I take this? :'D'
I did enhance the contrast in Photoshop, but still, I love the melancholic composition.

    37. She walks in the garden.
Her face and her manner making me stop breathing for a moment.

    38. [IMG]

One of my favorites. I love how this just feels so realistic.

    39. :bcupcake This my best picture of Xepherai yet i think and his eyes just wow it was taken yesterday.

    40. [IMG]

This is my favorite shot by far. It was so hard to decide, though! But every time I look at this picture I can't find anything I don't like about it.

    41. I no longer own this doll but the lighting and her face just make me so happy. I'm glad I at least have this photo left. :)

    42. [IMG]

      My favourite photo :D

    43. I have many favorites and Ala happens to star in a great percentage of them. If I had to choose, though, I think I'd pick this one:

Shot last winter in front of an apartment building. The freezing rain had created such a marvelous scenery it was nearly impossible to ruin a picture on that day.

T'was fun to go through all my albums... but even better to see all the inspiring pics posted here~! :kitty1

    44. This will probably always be, out of all the pictures I've taken, my favorite one.

    45. As others have said, going through your pix to find a favorite is really hard! But, I have two to contribute.

Probably one of my favorite pix of Noah. He loves being outside and I think the glint off his glasses just makes him look ridiculously real to me.

I don't have very many of my new girl, Shiloh, but I love this shot. Not my best, but I think it encompasses her character so well. :D

    46. My guys

    47. This picture is one of my favorites that I have taken. It was the day when I got my boy back from a long wait of getting a face up and being held in customs. I was very pleased with the job that she had done on his face.

    48. [IMG]

I love the way this photo turned out because I took it!!

I think its my favorite because she's looking directly at the camera (and DES was my grail doll). Its not perfect, but for me, a point-n-press-n-hope-for-the-best photographer its pretty darn good!

    49. Such beautiful photos from everyone! After much thought, I pick this one that I did this afternoon. Fauna was my first BJD and now that she is on her third face-up and has a new wig and new eyes and eyelashes, she's finally looking like I wanted her to look.

    50. My serene Juri '06 at the Garfield Conservatory in Chicago.

    51. [IMG]

I took this one in a super quick photoshoot, I only took 11 pictures total. But the photos turned out unsually good. This is one of my favourites from that shoot. I think it's very straightforward. :3

    52. One of the very first shots I took of my girl Nashi when she came home. Her eyes always get me.

    53. [IMG]

One of the best from my very HORRIBLE camera. I'm getting a new one, but that's besides the point. She's based on a character that I've been babying for over a year now. This is right after I finished her dress, wig, face-up. She still doesn't have the right bust, but in this photo, she's just her. It. My muse personified!

    54. She has JUST arrived last week, i made the face-up and have been playing with tmy camera. Sorry about her bandana, but i HATE the wig she came with, so i will wait till a better one arrives :P :P :P

    55. My precious Luke (K-doll Kian) near the bank of the Ohio River in Paducah, Kentucky during ResinCon 2007.

    56. I thought we were only supposed to post ONE photo each! :/ I ask because I've seen two people break this rule now and I think the all those who agonized over which photo to choose and eventually settled on only one might feel kinda cheated that some people didn't follow the rules when they did (even though it was really hard).

Edit: I went back and checked and here's a direct quote from the first post:
"Please post your ONE top, best, most favorite picture that you've ever taken. Not one of each doll, not two because you can't decide. This is the moment, everyone. Pick one and post it up here."

    57. I love this thread- and it is interesting to read what everyone has posted.
This is my Resinsoul An- not my most expensive doll, nor my biggest doll, but this little guy is just incredibly photogenic.
This was taken on a freezing cold day in the Olympic National Forest. We were the only people there. I like the stark contrast of black and white, and the little spray of berry vines in the background.

    58. i gotta go with my beloved "carouselicorn".... this fellow caused me a bit of trouble here..... but he is, and will always be special to me.
