My Nanuri '07 girl doing her best zombie apocalypse impression. I just love it for the lighting and pose, although the setting could have been much better, it remains my favourite.

 

Still can't believe I took it.

I love this picture, though the one in my signature is my favorite, I think this one really captures my love for Nono and what a wonderful summer that was.

 

I think it's that I can't stop pinching myself he has actually come into my life.

 

Of all the hundreds of photos I take every month, this is still my all time fave. He was my second doll, dressed in some of my earliest designs, sitting in the window of my tiny closet/sewing room in LA. The lighting set the perfect mood, Christian couldn't have looked more perfect and the photo itself invokes such emotion in me. I guess it was my frame of mind at that time that woo's me too. It represents a time of true re-birth for me.

 

I love the lighting and the mood in this photo. I took it last year and it is still one of my favorites.

 

My latest shot is always my favorite. This is Rho Beta (Machina Alpha) trying to make a comment on our conceptions of beauty.

 

I just can't get over how adorable Aura came out in this picture. And to be honest, I wasn't really trying too hard. ^^; I was just playing around with the camera and messing with the controls. xD

 

Hands down I love this one of Ailin (not my doll btw) the best >< He photographs well to begin with, but theres just sometehing about this picture that I love so much!

I'm really very proud of this shot. It was time to go back inside and I figured I'd try to take one more snap of Emile, my hands numb, miserably cold, and, lo and behold THIS happened!

 

I love this doll, but the Meme BJD Game took this picture into a place for me....that really means something more.

 

I don't know what it is about this one. It's a very recent picture, yet it's one of the few I have difficulty finding anything strikingly wrong with it. I can't explain it. Maybe I was just happy to have the twins back, I don't know.

for as simplistic as this picture turned out, it was alot of work and still, to this day one of my fav pics I've ever managed to take [and one of the rare few of Megumi and Saiyuri together in the same shot ;3;]

There's technically 'nudity', but you can't see anything but collarbone. I really love this one just because it looks so real. It's like I can see 'pores' on her 'skin'. I'm not sure how I managed it.

 

it was a happy accident, but Christine looks like an Autumn dream here ... I always think of this poem when I see this photo. (Poem is Autum Air by Li Bai)

The lighting turned out perfectly in the actual photo (sunshine = love~) and it turned out soft and warm... + I love my twins!

 

To date, this is my favorite. There's a Pre-Raphaelite/Bohemian quality to it that I really adore.

 

This one is my favorite all the pictures I ever taken.

 

Every time somebody says something about a favorite photo, this is the one that comes to mind first.

But she was my first and these were the first pics once i'd got all her bits together and she was finally Bob so this will always be my favourite

 

I'm not all that good at photography but to this day this one was my favourite.

 

My holy grail doll...my beloved Batchix Machina Alpha "Quadrophenia" right after I finished her face/body-up. With my old as dirt camera, I consider this photo a triumph!

A picture of my first BJD that I took on one of those enchanted first real spring days. I was thrilled to find that perfectly sized rock for him to sit on. It made the scene look so realitic.

 

One of my recent pictures, and I don't take many of my dolls. But even without the proper gender body, and with the wrong wig and a bad face up, Pandora shines through, which means that I chose the right doll for her afterall. Deuce... Well, deuce seems to not know if she should call for help or enjoy being glomped XD. And I was in a hurry when I took it too.

By the by, I'ved loved all of the pictures so far! Loverly!

 

The lighting outside was just perfect that day.

 

This one isn't the best picture, but it's so many things to me. Willow was my grail School A head; I was so ecstatic to finally have him. That day was warm but overcast (my favorite) and then he was just peeking through his hair...

 

This isn't one of my best photos ever, doesn't have an interesting pose, could be in better focus, and in fact it was taken in a Starbucks only shortly after I'd gotten my dslr, but I really just love how pretty my grumpy little girly-boy Nomiki came out in it, and it's a good example of how much I love him, as my most spoiled, doted-upon dollie.

 

An old picture that isn't technically very good, but remains one of my favorite shots of one of my favorite boys.

it was last haloween night and i was hyped up on candy.... lol couldnt sleep so i did this, the background was my cape from my costurme... lol

 

so hard, the decision was so hard. BUT at times I just can't get rid of this photo from my hard drive..

 

Still to this very day...i swear he has an impish little smile..and still my favourite pic of all time that i took.

 

It was a difficult decision but I chose this picture, because well.. to me, whenever this couple get together, they seem to be so in love with each other. Not just by characters only, but also in their doll forms. This was just a simple shot. But I love it a lot because to me, this shot has quite a lot of emotions.

Or could it be just because it looks so romantic? XD

This is definitely one of my favorite shots of Null, who also happens to be the pride and joy of my dolls. Getting the lighting right for this shoot was a major pain, but worth it! :3

 

I knew exactly which picture to choose ^_^ It's probably my favorite to date. I love the way the wind is blowing through Franz's hair... he looks kind of like a model

 

It was really hard for me to choose a photo from this shoot, because even though some of the full shots were more interesting, I love this closeup best because first of all, it's a closeup, and secondly because she looks as though I've caught her as she's changing direction. The cant of her torso implies that she was going one way, yet her head is turned and she's looking in the opposite direction. The intentness of her expression implies that whatever has caught her attention will have her diving after it in mere moments.

I have to say that my 'career' as a photographer is totally accidental. I have never had any interest in photography, and to be honest I still don't as such!! I don't post often because of this. However, sometimes I am *inspired* to photograph my doll and something beautiful occasionally happens in spite of my disinterest, my lack of good equipment and technical skill.

It was a blow for me to find out that I can't participate in publications and books and so forth, because of my poor equipment. So my work is entirely ephemeral. I'll keep on in spite of that, it's just what I do.

 

I just love the colors in this photo, and these two look so great together. It wasn't even a planned relationship. When Raven got home, it was almost like he was asking for a significant other. That's a hard question. I'm doubting between a shot of Vespa and Monclova.
But as of right now I have to say that this is my favorite shot;

This picture. Despite the fact that you can't even see his eyes, it captures Luce's broody nature so perfectly. Flyaway hair. Leather gloves. Colours. Clarity. It's definitely one of my favorites.

I spam this one a lot but is just IS my most favorite picture of any of my dolls. That was seriously the most perfect Florida sunset light EVER.

 

This is one of my favourite photos that I've taken of one of my dolls. I've taken a few of friends' dolls that I'm quite fond of.

This is Valeri, my first ever Dollzone BJD. I was very nervous about buying him because, as a general rule I don't really like the aesthetic of narrow-eyed dolls.



But... he's perfect. And this picture set my mind at ease about adopting this beautiful boy.

My favorite picture is one I've actually never posted here on DoA.

I rarely take the time to create a detailed set for a photo, so this is a fairly unique effort on behalf of my favorite dolls, my Shiwoo and idrisfynn's SA Bermann. No matter how serious the set looks, though, if my Kaspar is involved the subject matter is still silly.

My Volks Tanpopo, Tanni, has this strange dichotomy to her, she is two wholly separate beings. One is just a little girl who loves to get into trouble, loves to pester Aquamarine, and loves to play with other little kids. The other is a very dark goddess of death, who is content to let the child live on normally. Every once in a while, tho, I see Atropos pop through and this was one of those times. The shadows, the expression, everything was right there.



She really does blow me away for being such a tiny doll.
