Discussion Photography, Represent!

Oooh, I love everyone's photos so far!! It's especially interesting with photographers I follow- I have my own favorites of their photos, and their choices are always different than mine. It just goes to show how the owner interprets their photos differently than everybody else. Hehe!

It was hard to decide, but I did manage to pick a favorite.

 

Pretty recent photo, but it's my current favourite (helps that my favourite doll's the subject! )

 

It took me a while to decide on my absolute favorite picture. I hemmed and hawwed for a day, and I finally came to the conclusion that, while this isn't my most technically superior picture, it is still the one that takes my breath away to look at. The subject is my DollZone Shoyo-3, Anya.



Anya is my princess. She was my first doll, and some part of me is worried I'll never bond with another doll quite like I have with her. This pose makes me shiver a little. It's a moment of mischief and vulnerability. The way her ears are facing just adds a subtle touch of glorious personality.

My favorite picture has always been this one. It's far from perfect, but there's something about the colours and the dreamy feeling that get me every time. Besides, SwD Lucas's profile = !

this is always my personal fave even until now, that manage to capture the core character of my karon ^^

 

Dwayne (drayton) and Elias (Igon). I remember I was squeeing while taking the pictures, they were so cute together! ^^ This one is my fav:

 

It was hard to choose, but this one won out. I remember when I did this shoot how amazing it was the way Blisdon looked at Loa. He always seems so enamored with her when he's around her, and this picture really shows it.

 

I have more better pictures and a much better camera now, but this photo pushed my level higher in photography. Done with my 5 years old compact camera with flash and shot at midnight with only side light from my monitor.



Lesson learned: You don't need a big ass camera to make a great picture

It's been delightful browsing everyone's wonderful photos. I've a few fav shots but I've chosen this one because the lighting has (I think) enhanced her dreaming demeanour.

 

Not the best photo, but my favourite simply because it brings me back to the excitement of having a doll completely done up. First doll ordered, second one to arrive (by 2 days) and the only one I had clothes for to photograph.



Plus I like pink.

 

I took this photo very long time ago but for some reason I still like it ^^;;

 

I havnt taken too many photos so im not great yet. But I just love how shy and innocent she looks here. My Wensday(LTF Ante).

 

It has to be this one of my first boy Kao I only learned how to use the camera about 10 minutes before I did this shoot, and this picture still blows me away.

 

This is my ALL time favorite... My Soom Dia and my Cousin's Soom Lupin.
It was dusk and the mood was so perfect.

 

Choosing just one is so very hard. I could nail it down to seven but then it got really hard.

Finally I decided on this one. It's my Lati Blue Censya that I bought at the Marketplace with an older Lati body. The wig is from Tinybear, the eyes are Gumdrops Tempest 12mm and I made the clothes.



I just love the mood in the picture. It's taken just inside the window one late afternoon in the autum and you can see it in the light. I just love the light in the picture.

this is the one i love so far,i only took it afew days ago,but i really love mu kurumi init,the dress,the wig,the pose,everything,just right

 

Wow, everyone's photos are stunning! I feel pretty inferior now.

But here's my favorite; my camera actually behaves itself in snow, and the boys posed with incredible ease through this whole shoot. I had a great time and loved every photo I took, but out of all of them this one shot is my favorite for how much of their characters come through.

Certainly not my best photo in the technical sense (this was taken on a Canon Elph S330 if'n you're curious, a whopping 2 mp), but my dream doll had just come home a few days before and since it was March, this was probably the best light I had had for a week.

Roselynde is still my very favorite, I must admit. I love looking at her old photos and feeling nostalgic.

 

: Yes, I'm one of those people who will submit 75 "favorites" unless forcibly restrained. Thank you for the one-picture-only requirement. Although it really makes me tear my hair from its indecisive little roots, I was finally able to pick Just One.



Stavros (Limhwa tan Mano) is not even the most-often-photographed doll in my collection. But it's really easy to take an awesome picture of him. When he is really On, when the light is just right, he can be so breathtakingly human. This was one of those days. His face is so realistically lumpy and expressive, his expressions are so warm and mutable, and his lower lip looks just like Elvis's. I love working with this guy.

Everybody's pics are great. Look how good we've all gotten in just this amount of time, too. Five more years!! Five more years!!

(Maybe by then, I'll have a somewhat better camera than this 5-mp Canon Elph SD400.... XD )

 

Arghh! So hard to pick! The choice finally came down between this one and a picture of Raven and Rook reclining on the counter of a Chocolatier shop. But if there can be only one, this would have to be my favourite - everything (and I mean everything) just came out right for this shot.. Light, wind, water, etc. I had the camera on fast-shoot and the photos on either side of this one don't look anything as striking.

Henry (Crobi Nia) is my favorite doll to photograph. Ever since I got him he has reminded me of a grown up Christopher Robin. He is so playful and innocent, it really stirs the imagination.

 

This is my favorite photo of all time. Then again Gemma is very photogenic.

 

This isn't one of my best photos, but I absolutely love it anyway ^^ I just love the way he was posed and how expressive he is.

 

it's almost impossible to pick.. but I think this picture of Muse just always take the cake for me

 

Taken while I was waiting for her new body to arrive. It's silly, but I really love the way this photo turned out.

 

This one has to be my absolute favourite, I just love the effect of the lighting, her pose and her outfit.
My dearest Fatty is so photogenic. ​

 

Naomi usually isn't photogenic. But when I put a darker wig on her, it changed her whole personality. This is the best shot I have of her, and it's my favorite picture.

 

Im' a terrible photographer, so this picture was taken by my little sister, but it's my absolute favorite picture of my doll.



I know it's not as pretty as many of the ones on here, but I like it.

I think that this one of my first girl, Mill, has to be my favorite.



It was her first outdoor shoot and she had a new outfit. XD I love the colors and how natural she looks in it too. It makes me think of how sweet she looked when I first got her.

 

I've taken hundreds of pictures of Erebos and this one, from only the second photoshoot I've ever taken of him (I only had him a few months then. Heck, he doesn't even wear that wig anymore) is by far my favorite. His personality shines best in this photo; calm, thoughtful and gentle.

 

I always had this one photoshoot I had been insanely proud of. It was for a contest; I loved the end product but my favourite picture was always the second one in. The series was done with a bad camera, a bad face up, but for the contest I'd entered the picture set in, I won half of all the votes. I'd wanted to originally enter the poster I'd made with Phir for the game, since it would have had some sort of poetry to it. First doll, first contest, first face up, best photo.

But. Sadly, no.

This has always been my favourite photo. Kuro was my second doll. He was second hand (but the first doll I'd ever, ever seen and the first one I fell in love with) and even his hair was old. But I bought him this dress (I know. Him wearing dresses was half the reason why he didn't end up working out for me.) to commemorate his arrival. I will -always- love how all the colours match (the strawberries, the yellow flowers, the faded background, even his eyes) and how they just go to compliment him. Even his pose, dainty but gloomy. The ripped up wallpaper at the bottom just went to complete the image.

I'm sure I'll take alot of wonderful, gorgeous photos in the future worthy of being my favourite, worthy of being the 'best shot' I'd ever taken. But whenever I thought of my dolls when I was on my hiatus, (I was gone for two years) this is always the photo I thought the most of.

It's not mine best picture or something, but I just love it. my Freeza looks just so pretty here (;0 I love colours and how lights falls and I have no idea how I made it xD It was some super fast photoshoot because I was super bored.

It's hard to have a favorite. I like certain photos because of there emotional meaning. Some because of the quality. And some because they make me smile. But this is my favorite thus far.

 

This is my favorite picture of my favorite doll, Naomi. I just always come back to this picture of her...

 

This one still manages to make me gush over my OCs. Oh their love affairs.

 

It was a hard choice for me and I don't take good photos so this must've been a killer for those who photograph their resin family on a regular basis.
So many breathtaking pictures!!

I chose this one from my own collection mainly as it makes me smile. I'm not a great photographer, I have ones with far better lighting but this one of my Pink Tinybear BonBon after I redid her faceup lifts the spirits!

 

I'm another that's just not a very good photographer without the best equipment. But I really like this shot.

 

I didn't know that this photos was stored in my camera's memory card for more than a month. And I only took it out last night! ^_^~ Chrome looks awesome and I can't believe the shot turned out good~

 

It was fun looking at other people's pictures. ^^ I love all the pictures... so fun to look at! ^^

It was tough to pick just one. I have loved my Hyde a little bit too much now and every picture I take of him is so special to me. However, I went back to the first time that we had a serious getting to know photoshoot. Here it is...



He never gave me hard time... and he poses really well for me, every time... ^^

 

I haven't yet taken a photo of Tami that I feel really captures her attitude but I did take this one photo I like.

I am submitting this one because it is the type of pictures I like to take.

 

I think the pose and overall "ambiance" of the place makes the photo look good XD; tho I do wish she looked more sad

 

This is my most recent favorite. The lighting just worked and good lighting is the bane of my photography. =_=

 

Everyone's pics are so fantastic! As has been said before, it is so hard to pick just one! But this one sticks in my mind because it is somewhat dark in mood, which is unusual for me. Plus I love the mask faceplate on my Unoa, made by Melancholy Kitties.



And just to cheat a little, my Avatar is also a favorite as it was taken w/a not so fancy camera very early in my photography learning phase, and I was/am totally enamored w/the doll!

 

I took this on the day she got here and it still triggers the first love feeling so it's a definite favorite.
And I'm sorry, it's tad big.

 

This is Miss Muffett and I do keep a clean house, it is a real spider and he didn't visit for long. My doll was screaming inside.....

What a horrible task to choose one. I'm not a grand photographer, at all, but I do have some excellent subjects. This one, though... I just love it



Kenshin and Kaoru haven't seen each other for a year due to misunderstanding and foolishness. They've finally gotten some quiet time alone. They're getting to know each other again, and while some of the other shots in this story showed the utter longing in Kenshin's face better, I simply loved the tenderness of both of them as they loosened the ties in each other's hair...

It was a quiet and lovely moment as compared with some of the raw emotion -- and noise! -- that we often associate with the Kenshin story.

It also means a lot to me because after three years I finally succeeded in giving Kenshin something in return for all the joy he's given me.

 

Galadhen being a living candy cane for Christmas (really hard to choose a best picture of him because lighting is magic on this doll)

I have a lot more faves, but if I had to choose just one atm;

 

It's funny, I almost feel like this shouldn't be my favourite, because it's a fairly recent member of my doll family, she's not one of my main OCs, but I put so much work into creating Maria, and somehow my camera just did something amazing, and she came out beautifully.

 

Looking at it now, it's not so great, but for some reason I love this photo. Probably because it captures Subaru's lonliness as this was the first time I'd played with him in about 18 months.
