What size of eyes does she take?

I found a Peakswoods FoC Red on Y!J, and waiting to get her shipped to me. I need to know what size eyes best fit her, to see if I need to order some.

 

Oh I'm excited to see your Red, I just adore mine. I believe the site says 14-16 for the eye size. I'm not sure what my Red is wearing as I have a bunch but they are not marked. So sorry I'm no help.

I use 16mm eyes for all my FOC. But I like bigger irises. If you like small ones I suggest 14mm, but eyes that are slightly bigger. The ones that comes with dolls like fairyland have a too small sclera.

Yes, different makes of eyes have different fits.
I might make some resin eyes, I have a couple of different styles of molds, and both 14mm and 16mm.

 

My Red arrived.
I ended up using a pair of 14mm Mehi Art eyes on her, and they're a perfect fit - very pretty too!



This is a gorgeous doll, and her Suntan resin is so warm and pretty.
I need to find her some heel feet parts to match.

Does anyone here know which companies' tan resins match Peakswoods Suntan from around 2019?

I just purchased the Red Riding hood outfit when they had the last sale, for my Red. Can't wait to get it. I have it being sent with my Rosemii I ordered in Lavander skin. Suddenly I'm a huge fan of Peakswoods dolls.

Peakswoods dolls are so gorgeous and well made. Their faceups are of very high quality.

I haven't seen any Momo's yet, so I wanted to share! This is my boy in pink lavender.



It's such a pretty color, and strange- he almost looks pale grey from a distance. He was an impulse buy but I love his sculpt so much, I'm glad I did it.

 

He's so cute just like this, congratulations! I've seen some Lavender Pink dolls that look gray in photos, that's pretty unique.

Most definitely I will and I can't wait. iI had a wtb for a Rosamii in lavander skin and boom she was available for preorder during the event. I also have Red in p. punch skin so I ordered the red riding hood dress set and it was the last one available. I had been eyeballing it for sometime now. So exciting.

Wow! She’s gorgeous! Those lips are positively stunning, and her lavender skintone is so pretty.

 

Thank you so much. At first I was disappointed because the colors are not the pinks I was expecting, and the blue face colors are so light, not like in the original photos. She's growing growing on me, I think I'll keep her like this for now. Her wig is actually dark purple.

Rosemii and Red..... At first I was not feeling it with Rosemii and thought of selling her right away and keeping Red now it's the opposite, poor Red, hope that changes. I may try different eyes and wigs on Red now that she's out of her box. Rosemii should have blue eyes and these eyes Peakswoods sent them in her installed as random eyes, they are growing on me as the days go by. Just a review of the outfit, it's exceptionally well made.

Thank you, this outfit isn't for my Red so maybe another doll. Anyway, if I play with her eyes and hair my adoration may be rekindled, hoping.....

 

I hope to buy a vampire girl soon and need to decide between white and normal skin.
How is their white? Paperwhite or a light skin color?
How light is their normal skin compared to other companies? (I do have Ringdoll ns and mini dollfie flesh)

 

@Pyoko i can’t say from experience but have you checked out owner pictures on instagram? If you don’t have instagram, the peaks woods site has a gallery with a LOT of owner pictures.. maybe that could give you a better idea? I know it is a little hard to tell with owner pics because the colors might be enhanced, but from what I can tell the white looks closer to a paper white and the normal looks like it has decent coloring, not really on the pale side.

 

I have a white and a normal, my dolls are quite old but I don't think Peakswood has changed the colors. White is nearly paper white (mine may have turned creamy with age, not sure) and normal is very pale.

She’s so adorable! What a cutie! I really love how versatile the Briana sculpt is. They can be absolutely anything and everything. Case in point, here’s my Briana (from 2010 in faded old tan skin.) She was already like this when I adopted her from the second-hand marketplace, and I had every intention of correcting it with some judicious blushing. But when she arrived I fell deeply in love with her overall look and couldn’t bear to make any corrections. Instead, I worked it into her storyline and she became my beloved Second-hand Rose.

 

@PoeticSoul: You're absolutely right! She's my favorite PW sculpt. I love your girl, and the way the older ones were done. Mine is from that period too. Minimal face up, which brings our her natural pretty sculpt. Thank you for sharing!

Peakswoods does hold events where the dolls are available. You will have to wait for the next event to order. Also not all dolls and skin colors are available at every event, they change between them.

Next event will probably be for Halloween. I believe it starts September, but I am not sure.
You can follow them on Instagram, they post about their new dolls and events there.

I like blue grey and moonlight grey skin, if anyone have this skin color together plz? I don’t found much moonlight grey, probably not so popular skin tone. But found some blue grey. They looks very close , but hoping to see any dolls next to each other plz)

 

I took pictures of the skin colors for you. The difference does not seem big but gives a different vibe/look for the whole doll.
Blue grey is grey with a blueish undertone and moonlight grey is more of a yellowish undertone.

I prefer blue grey, but they don't release it that often. Btw their emerald green is gorgeous and my top favorite from their skin colors

I love both color, but blue grey more pretty, u right. And also Lavander pink keep searching good pictures. I like two boys from PW, Lucian and Bullet, so I think which two different color take for them. Blue grey and moonlight grey, or lavender and some of grey.. still keep thinking. I want them to be vampires, so that colors should be good for my idea))

Instagram is btw a great picture source.

For me I was a bit disappointed with lavender pink first because I expected a "Pastel violet" but it is a "greyish violet". But I started to like it more. It can look kinda greyish in pictures too.

Green is nice for vampires too, here my vampire goldie

I thought about green also, but like elf or some forest fairy, will works amazing. But I like ur vampire too, never think that way, green vampires))) for me sounds unusual)))

 

Guys can I ask if someone may be have Lucid raven or Bullet head on 61 cm body plz? Just wondering how big/small heads looks all over body and neck to head size .

@Pyoko its nice to see some color comparisons, I’ve been wondering how my dolls would look side by side when my second one came in, so this is helpful! There’s a lot of owner pictures on instagram but most of the time their skin colors aren’t listed and since PW colors can look a little mellow, it can be hard to tell what is what depending on the pictures lighting.

 

I had the same issue when searching for examples of their greys (moonlight and blue) skin, it's practically impossible to tell just by the picture which skin color it is and hardly anyone on Instagram has a note stating what's the color. Even Lavender can look quite grey in pictures.

For those here owning Peakswoods dolls in their white resin; did they yellow quickly?
Do they still have a nice skintone when yellowed?

I am considering getting a girl in white but I am worried about that

 

@Pyoko Mine still looks really nice. She doesn't seem to have the pink undertone she had at first, but that might just be the light in my room. She's yellowed only very lightly in the couple years I've had her.
