I quickly chucked Lune in my cart and shipping a Dandy 61 to the USA is only $99!! I'm so relieved I'll have to wait a few days to order but I'm super excited!

But this is reminding me I haven't photographed my blue-grey Dandy Tristan in years........ oops. Maybe if he has a friend I will photograph him.

 

I’m looking to maybe also buy the outfit that goes with Lune and eyes. Would I need to pay for the outfit and eyes up front in addition to a layaway payment? I read where it says to pay for outfit and eyes separately if you use layaway but since the outfit is an option on Lunes page itself as an option to add and not on the outfit page I wasn’t sure if I would have to pay for this outfit up front? The eyes I’m assuming that I would have to pay upfront. Thank you for any help.

Strongly considering getting Lune! If I pass him up I would prob be sorry.

Has anyone used PW layaway before? I placed my order this morning; screwed it up, canceled it. (I forgot to put my name in. You know, the only one I was born with) Then I placed the correct order, got confirmation and then nothing else. How long does it usually take for them to set it up?

 

I’m confused too (obviously...I’ve had how many questions now?!) and I didn’t know there was a way to even do layaway without emailing them first? I have no idea how to do layaway either.

Honestly, I'm unsure as to how useful it is, since they apparently used to do 10 month layaways, 6 months, and now it's down to 4 months. I followed it as closely as I could, but it didn't say anything about emailing them first.

 

oh alright thank you I didn’t see that page I thought I read somewhere in this thread that I would need to contact them to set up a layaway payment but I could have misunderstood and they were taking about something else. It is confusing still tho. That would be so great if it were still 10 months! I would for SURE and certain make my order if it was! Wow

 

I had to REALLY search for that page, and like I said; I'm not sure if it's even really up to date. It's a 2019 post, but who knows what has really changed between then and now. I wonder if they could answer some of the questions on Instagram? They do seem to respond pretty quickly to anyone who posts comments on their pictures, it might be the same if you message them?

I posted a message on their Q&A board to see if there was anything that needed to be done after (or maybe even before) a layaway. I'll update if they message back.

 

You could also ask them a question on DoA on their news thread. I had a question about this event and their rep(?) answered the next day!

Your boy solidified my decision to get Knox instead of Lune!! He is just too amazing. I'm going for Emerald skin, I hope he turns out even half as nice as yours!

 

They did reply back to my message on their Q&A board. It looks like you don't need to email them, they will set up the layaway through their page once you request it. You do need to follow the link that I sent earlier that shows how to request a layaway and then they populate it to their website. I *think* that they send you a confirmation email once they populated it to the site, but I didn't receive one since they told me directly they had done it on their Q&A board.
After making the first payment, you do get a confirmation email saying that they received it.

Now I can stop being obnoxious.

 

Leaving aside Dolk do they have other dealers?

I placed my order for an Emerald Green Dandy 61 Lune! OMG I'm so excitedddd hehehe. I love my two other PW boys so much.
Just noticed that I made a typo in my layaway plan- I wrote January 2021 for the last payment instead of 2022 Hopefully it's fine hahahaaa...

No worries, I screwed up my first layaway by not ordering half of what I wanted. Then I screwed up my second layaway request by ordering the wrong choice head. Our name must curse us

@mydaffer: Thanks! I've never taken a comparative image of the bodies, sorry. They are the original body, the lolita body, and the AB body (absolute beauty). I'll be sure to keep it in mind whenever I redress them all.

I mean, I'm REALLY glad that we didn't order the same doll, that would have been a great test of their patience. I could just imagine them just throwing in the towel at that point.

Hello all, I got my first Peaks Woods doll a few months back and would like to share her here. She's a FOC Red in pink punch skin color. I haven't really did much with her yet but am so happy to have her.

I'm curious how often Peak's Woods opens up their entire line of FOC girls - I really want to purchase Skiya. I'm curious when they last did so. So far this year, the ordering windows for FOC dolls has been really limited to a few sculpts. I'm starting to fear that Skiya and other older FOC dolls are retired....

But then again, last winter, I had been told that the older FOB sculpts were retired. But then in April, and again in the summer, they had ordering windows opened for the entire FOB lines. I am SO SO happy that they did!

So I guess I'm holding out hope that next year they will open up the FOC line for ordering, including Skiya. I'm curious when they last did so - I'm new to the hobby - It's about a year since I got serious about BJD collecting. I'd loved them from afar for years.

Hi, idk if it's the place to talk about but I missed the sale, I want to order a blow or a Lune in emerald, but it seems the sale is only open once a year for this skin color? Can you confirm?

 

I think the special resin colors are for events only, and they don't always release the same colors every time. There will surely be other events before next Halloween, but Emerald may not be an option.

 

@mydaffer - That's so awesome! How long have you been sewing? Red's outfit is beautiful! ^_^

I just downloaded a pattern from Gracefaerie Designs on Etsy, to make my first doll sewing project for Mori Moth - a pleated skirt. So far, I've only sewn really simple things, like bags/containers and hemmed napkins. (I've stocked up on muslin for lots of practice before I tear into the linen I bought for the skirt. )

 

Thank you so much, I’ve been sewing off and on for about 10 years and off more then on because of work. I just sew mostly from scratch, I love eyeballing and making mistakes. When I make a mistake, I find creative ways to fix them. I tried patterns and I did sew a dress 10 years ago from GF as well, with the help of my mother who can sew from patterns. It took 10 years to complete, but It turned out well. I’m not a pattern sewer, I tend to fail miserably at following directions. Sewing is fun though and rewarding.

 

I bought a Vampire Goldie second hand and am currently waiting for her to ship.
(she will ship in January to avoid Christmas season)

I want to shop for clothing for her.

Are there brands/doll companies where the clothes are a good to perfect fit for FOC girls? (I know she is SD13 size in general but hoping to get something with a good fit)

She is on the newer body (I assume since she is pretty new) and has S bust.

Recommendations are welcome

 

Congrats on the vampire Goldie! I have on a A.B. body and adore her face sculpt so much. The little vampire teeth are so nice!
I shopped with dollheart a few times because their sd10/sd13 outfits fit my FOC dolls really well, but it has to be your style.


Completly other more general qeustion but I noticed I can't enter the peakswoods official site anymore on my computer. My antivirus goes crazy when I try to open it and blocks the whole site stating it's dangerous. On my phone the site is working (but then again I have a less strong anti-virus program on my phone). Does anyone else also have this problem?

I'm so happy I was hoarding this wig because it's sooo good on him! But now I have to find him some pink eyes... these ones are color edited.

I'm curious if anyone is ordering from the 20th Anniversary FOC Event! I'm planning on ordering Tristan the Beauty. I'm super excited - I've wanted to purchase an FOC for awhile. I'm just trying to figure out which face-up from the "Once Upon a Time" collection. ^_^

At first I was planning on ordering her with #10 - the Valentine Punk one - I loved the colours! I logged on first thing in the morning, (it was 3 hours after the ordering window opened) but it was sold out already! Yikes! Time for a new plan!

There's a few I have been bouncing between. I'd like to ask you guys for some advice. I'm considering #9 - the "Alice in Enchantedland" one. I love the eyebrow shape - it makes her look like she has a sweet and concerned look, that I like. And I like the eyeshadow colours a lot, too! Basically, everything about the face-up is awesome! EXCEPT.... I'm not crazy about the freckle/beauty mark. I like a scattering of freckles, like RabbitHolic Nana, but just the one is a bit distracting, for me. I thought there was a speck on my monitor at first! o_0

Do you guys think it would be acceptable to write to PW and ask if that particular feature is not added?

I'm afraid of asking because I don't want to be an annoying/bad/rude customer! And on the product page it mentions something about "not changing face-ups". BUT this seems like such a tiny part of the face-up to change. I've been going back and forth in my head - is this okay to ask about, or not okay....

I'd love to hear your thoughts, and if you are planning to order any of the event dolls!

@Apocatiel - I think it wouldn't hurt to message them and ask, they are very nice & professional so if they can't do it they will just tell you so politely. Also, I also saw that the #10 faceup sold out very quickly! Maybe because it is a little different than the usual style of their faceups? I'm excited to see your Tristan the Beauty!

I'm a little late to the love party here for him, but I can't get over how beautiful he is!!

My Dark Elf Lune finally arrived. I loved the design so much that it was the first time I have ordered a full set. I was concerned the actual doll would look different from the official picture, but the makeup and everything else completely matched the presentation of the promotional photo. Very satisfied.

 

Did you order your Lune from the October round? Just asking because I ordered a Lune and a Vampire Lucid in October and am hoping mine will be here soon. He’s beautiful BTW.
