Anyone have any idea when the next FOC ordering period will be? I suddenly have a floating Lolita body and I can’t decide if I should sell it or try to find a Mona head somewhere...

 

@dotworkdoll Peak’s Woods will probably tell you if you ask! But considering an FoC period just closed you’re probably looking at a few months or more.

 

Yeah I was worried about that! But it’s ok, I probably shouldn’t spend anymore right now if I can avoid it. Maybe I can snag one second hand? The awesome thing is that all of my white Peak’s Woods resin seems very stable in terms of color so hopefully waiting a while won’t be too much of a problem. I do have my heart set on Mona I think. She is just stunning!

 

@surumi Your photos and your girl are gorgeous! I’m really happy I waited for blue grey to be released again. Can’t wait for my boy.

 

Does anyone know of any nice company clothes that fit well on the small bust body? Most 1/3rd clothing seems to have enough room to fit a second doll in the chest. I'm not interested in custom outfits...

 

Dandy Laksa will be my 5th SD. This time I keep going through bouts where I completely forget I have a doll on order. I guess I’ve gotten used to the long waits and know that when I finally have a shipping notice it’s a nice surprise? Just thought I’d pop in to say hi.

I saw on Instagram that peakswoods is releasing an “Alice’s in Funderland” collection on May 8. So far I’ve seen pics of a mad hatter character and a red queen, which had the overall look of the Tim burton film version but on the peakswoods girls it works! I wonder if they’ll do any other characters. Peak's Woods on Instagram: “Hi, this is Peak's Woods. These are FOC Lemon and FOC Lemon Blue(half open eyed version of Lemon) as the Red Queen from Alice in…”

 

@skyealloway yeah I also just saw them on insta! So far it looks really promising. Love the face up and wig on the red queen, they indeed have something Burtonesques. Wonder what they will do for her as outfit, so far the red striped puffy shoulders look interesting.

 

Hi there! I was hoping someone could help me understand the ordering system on the PW website... For the new Red Queen, there is a drop down menu for the head sculpt.... does this mean I can order any other head sculpt instead of the Lemon sculpt? I'm so confused! Thank you in advance!

But why not ask PW's awesome customer support to be sure. They are super fast and super friendly to answer any questions you may have

Hello! First time posting in this thread, but I just saw the Twitter announcement of FOC Mimi Crow and am hoping to make her my first Peak's Woods doll Will anyone else be ordering her? (Sad that I missed the Red Queen order period, as I desperately want a Rosemii and that would have been a good chance).

 

@AllThings Hi! Think it might be first time I am posting too. Was originally looking to see if anyone posted pictures of Mona as Alice in DreamyLand but I am most likely getting at least the Mimi Crow Alice! Cause she is adorable and I cant resist her after they posted that video on Instagram. I was blown away and over the moon in love with her! I might want both Alices tho.. but cant seem to find many photos from that ordering period sadly...

 

Seems that Mimi Crow brought a lot of here here lol she is very beautiful and I love that Peakswoods is doing videos now

Does anyone here have or know where I can see more pictures of RED? I love her face, but I wanted to see more in person pictures of her before deciding, since their ordering periods are so short..........

Also, if anyone has the lavender pink skintone, what does it look in person? Is it more grey or purple?
The pictures on the website it looks very vibrant and purple, but on the video it looks almost gray to me so I wanted to know what you thought of it in person

 

It's not vibrant, it definitely has a soft grey to it like the video (but maybe just a little less) and it's lovely.

 

Oh that's great to know. I was wondering about that as well you see. I rather like the purple version in the video a lot more than on the promo pics so for me that's great news! ❤️

I think Im going to wait for the halloween event since Peakswoods have kindly confirmed that emerald green skin will be available at that event, and I think I like the green skin the most of all the skin choices, Im so happy its returning because I thought it was a one time skin event

 

Well, guess who arrived completely unexpectedly this week! I didn't get a shipping notice, so wasn't even aware he was on his way.

This is Dandy Laksa in blue grey resin, the Back to School release, with one of the release faceups. I must say the faceup is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I couldn't get over it. And I'm so happy I shelled out for the Oscar doll eyes. They're so beautiful.

I look forward to getting to know him better. I believe his name is Alec

I haven't shared either of my girls in here before, so I thought I would share a picture of my little Confetti that was taken after she got back from getting her new faceup.

 

Can anyone tell me what body you will get if you order a girl doll?

I have 3 PW dolls, all with different bodies - including this old body (not double-jointed), and her hands are so simple...

 

I reallly like the small bust lolita body that I currently have. It's very elegant and not too top heavy.

 

Is it just me or is this like... the quickest they've ever had one event after the other?

 

They've definitely started this event quite soon from the halloween one (which I'm thankful for because the special resin I want is going to be available ) but they typically do a halloween event and a winter event

 

Hi everyone! I am glad that the event started faster this time, because I really want to order a RED head. Since this is my first time ordering with Peak's Woods, anyone know how long is the waiting time? I saw people in the waiting room get theirs anywhere between 3 to 6 months. And also, if their normal skin is a good resin match for any other company?

 

It depends if you do layaway or not, if you do a layaway, they won't start until it's paid off
They generally average about four months ime after full payment @Wabbie-chan

 

I second NamelessPierrot! Whenever I've ordered a doll (with a faceup) it's usually been about a 4 month wait.

I am a little bit confused with the options for this sale for Dreamy Red. It lets you choose which head, but then it also asks you if you want an additional Red head? Do you get two heads? Or is that just the makeup option?

 

You can buy an extra head, I think.
I am going with Mona, but not sure about the makeup, It does something like a line over the eyelid a bit strange, reminder me a clown eye...

 

If you like the makeup but just don't like the line on the eyelid, you can always message them and ask for them not to draw that line. They're very accommodating

I have a Roosemii head on a Mirodoll 60cm body in Normal. The resin match was almost perfect to begin with, but now that it's mellowed, it's not quite as perfect. It's not bad per se, but I'd kinda like to try her on a Resinsoul body.

 

@faireva @Audrina Mystique it's ok, let me see all your hybrids, please. I can't find anything decent for my heads...

 

Some how I've completely missed what peakswoods has been releasing recently ugh! But! Their Instagram is advertising an upcoming event , new dolls seem to be Jude and Lune.

I know this is the sd thread but the MSD versions of the SD Mona and Rosemii are adorable.

I still really want a SD Mona vampire... Gotta save up thou.

Since I watched Castlevania on Netflix I have desperately wanted to shell Lenore into a doll. But I couldn't find a head sculpt with the right face. Until I by chance came across FOC Vampire Rosemii - she has the right face shape, with delicate and warm features, and pointed ears and vampire teeth. *swoon*

I cannot decide if I go with natural or white skin - I would have wanted grey but they don't offer it on heads because it is such a PITA to make.

 

I love my vampire gals- I have vampire Goldie and bitten Goldie. One is white and one is normal. But mine are so old it might not be relevant to the colors they offer now. Anyway even thou the white seems vampiric I like my normal doll tone better. Paper white is just so hard to photograph in dark colors. On the other hand, white might be easier to hybrid.

That was my thinking - white will be easier to hybrid. But their natural seems so very pale I might not mind it? Then again, I was considering hybriding with the grey body from ResinSoul so perhaps either way won't matter haha

 

If you're curious about hybrids, I've had a Fairyland ID.1 NS head on the Peakswoods FoC Lolita body, and they've looked quite nice together.



I think the Peakswoods NS was a touch more peachy and slightly darker. Still works very nicely, I think.

 

Oh it is lovely - NS from Peakswoods does seem quite light too, which is good. In any case I'll probably look to have her blushed in a grey tone to make her look a little more undead, so NS should work alright I think! I've got FL dolls so the comparison to their NS resin is helpful, thank you!

 

Okay strange question but does anybody have any experience with layaway from peakswoods.
Like i can't seem to totally get it. I see they maken a page with your layaway plan, but if you pay thru paypal they say you need to order manually. But the layaway page looks like I need to add the layaway item to my cart and pay it thru that. So short story short anybody knows if your meant to add your layaway page to your cart and pay thru that or that you need to pay by going to your own paypal and sending the money to there email?

I feel like such a lost fish.
