I was convinced that the Pub was a cover for their ghost hunting activities, but so far all I've seen is drinking, eating and playing games in the Pub. I think they pulled one over on me.

I recently received this beautiful dress for Elune and I just had to take her outside for a photoshoot. My bf and I drove by a tiny waterfall when we went bike riding yesterday and thought it was the perfect spot

 

The waterfall is a perfect background for that dress! Beautiful pictures

 

That colour of the dress is so rich and beautiful, really matches her complexion. Together with the scenery it's like your stepping into a fairytale about some enchanting waternymph!

 

Man, my account hasn't been updating on DoA with new posts from this thread Before I go look at the pictures, I wanted to show pics of my Troy! He just came back from faceups today:



His name is Mewt and he is the Prince of a moon-bunny race called "the Usagi." Sailor-Moon and FFIV inspired Faceup is by Memento Mori. I'll have more pics later, y'all have to see his hands they are beautiful!

 

Love that wig on her! She looks so bold and mesmerizing.

Wonderful work on her faceup! I love her eyeshadow especially - I think its the most perfect color on white skin.

I'm still kinda hoping they'll sell lavender pink skin FOC again. I really want a fantasy girl from them, but that color hasn't been in the last couple of preorders.

 

Thank you Kayble Yes he is in white skin. Yes I like his palette a lot; I wanted a little bit softer than Peakswoods White Rabbit faceup (I had ordered it, but then decided to get him w/o it) I did get the manicure from Peakswoods though (totally worth it, his hands are lovely!)
I hope you get you fantasy girl. I agree, their lavender pink is out of this world. If I had the money I'd probably get another doll in that color

@Kayble I do think the will. I recently asked them if they were going to release a hunky dory in blue skin ever again, since they just did a release they said it wont be anytime soon, sad but good for my wallet. However they did tell me they would make a few lavender pink skin hunky's for some doll event in asia and I could buy one of those. So they atleast did not drop the colour and probably will be available again somewhere in the future.

Recently, I took my Rosemii Blossom to a tea party and twinned with her, I made her a whole matching outfit, it is still unfinished but still I am pretty happy about it! Everyone kept asking where my doll and what sculpt she was at the local doll convention I attended. I was able to hold lots of dolls from volks to ringdoll...and I still felt PW really got their resin so nice and silky compared to many other companies! Also the PW pink punch skin tone is so lovely, she was so PINK compared to other pink tone resins I saw. I know red skin tones tend to yellow more noticeably but I hope it'll stay! I don't think anyone that I saw at the con had a PW doll (they are missing out teehee) REPPIN MY PW doll!

I also let her try on lots a variety of SD clothes but yeah the fitting is not quite right. Can someone confirm that PW FOC girls are exactly? SD 13 sized? I feel like those measurements are still not exactly quite right but it might depend also on my dolls bust size since rosemii blossom was made with the Large bust.

 

@Nyakokat you two are stunning!! I love how you even matched down to the style of bangs as for the sizing, Peak’s Woods are both slim, but pear shaped. Meaning they’ll probably be a mix of things. They definitely have an SD16-ish booty! The below outfit is made for Little Monica dolls with their large bust- which is a body very close to SD16 but even some of the measurements are larger than the Volks standard. The bustier too was very loose, I know it’s hard to see being black but you can see the breast cups are really not fitting the torso at all (my Chai is in the small bust body though! Even so the top and harness up top are very loose on her). But the panty, socks, and garter belt are TIGHT I could barely get them on her, and even though they’re just panties, she can’t even sit in them (pleather dom looks )

The pink dress I usually have her in is for SD10 (the dress in my current profile image here on DoA) and is also very loose in the torso. A larger bust would remedy fit in both items but that’s my speculation, and it may still be a little off. Hopefully more here can share brands they’ve successfully fit well! Below is the image of the harness outfit, didn’t want to split up my text with it in the middle

As long as I can meet other PW dolls, don't mind if i do LOL. And yes, the pink punch skin tone is my favorite, but I have yet to see other color skin tones, hoping my next one will be NS or WS! I really love wittle Lottie because of @Cuteasadoll (and ofc FOC Goldie who I have yet to find )

I thought I missed out on Mona but I just noticed that there are two dates mentioned on her page "First released: March 15~April 5, 2018" and "Ordering Period: July 1~July 30, 2018". I am new to Peak's Woods though so maybe this is a common thing?

Awww thank you I hope you get your Mona. Yes, Peakswoods have an ordering schedule instead of having their dolls be available to order all the time (I think it helps with their casting as they are a small company). They may be opening their ordering period soon. I know they have an FOC summer ordering period planned featuring a new Dandy (I think that's what someone here mentioned).

 

OMG guys the new doll pics are up!!!!! The pics show Mona in different colors, a WU version of Mona and a new Dandy (Seize) Looks like there is a new brown skin too (Savanna)

If the Savanna Brown is the color that Mona is shown in (in the banner), I'm totally in love! Their previous tans were super orangey, kind of like the old school Custom House tan. Hmmm, I'm horribly tempted.

If you go to their site and look at the banner, you can see the images. They also have been posting some photos to their Instagram/Facebook account as well.

 

Oh, I didn't see those pics before! If that's the new tan it looks great! Although I have to say their suntan skin is still my favorite! It's not orangey at all - that was the very old tan they had way back

 

@Nyakokat - I'll join in with everyone else with being impressed and amazed by your outfits. You guys look so amazing. I love it when people spend the time and creative energy on something like that. Very impressive.

@Cuteasadoll - Yowza! Nice outfit. Most of my PW dolls are in DollHeart but I think it's time for a makeover.

I find most dolls to be a mix between sizes because manufacturers have a hard time with all the size variances. I have clothing I bought for one doll that ends up on another. Some times I have to buy two of something to get the size that fits the one I was buying for.

I have actually never had problems with clothes for my PW girls. I'd say most SD13 fits them. Of course it depends on the bust size and how tight a fit you want. Most of mine are normal bust. My Hunky Dory has small bust though, but so far the clothes I've tried on her seems to fit - even the long AyuAna gown that is made for larger busts. Maybe I've just been lucky?

 

I have a new tanned girl, but I was referring to my super orange girl who was one of the older tans. I don't think their tan is very tan though, so I hope that the Savanna Brown is actually a deeper tone than what they currently offer!

 

@Nyakokat you seriously made that whole outfit?! It looks so perfect, almost eat able looking like cotton candy haha. Many have said it but you both look stunning just love your Lolita clothing style.
@Cuteasadoll daw even tho this is a more spicy outfit it does fit her greatly and still looks elegant. And that tan

About tan I do have to agree a little with @honeyedbiscuit even tho I love their tans they do seem to be rather light and would enjoy seeing a darker tone. On the other hand peakswoods is known for their delicate dolls and skin tones.
And from what I get from the pictures this one isn't going to be very much darker either. Like I even have a hard time for now seeing the difference between the new tan and their suntan. And if I Chek the color chart their urban brown seems a bit darker(never seen this one irl so not sure about that). Anyway I do hope one day they will make a coffee/dark chocolate kind of brown, prom not... But a girl can dream XD
Edit: before that tho still patentially waiting for the next round of releases where they hopefully have their blue skin up again. So hard tho, want my hunky dory so badly. It's like having extra waiting time on the regular waiting time, just one to be like "take my money peakswoods, I don't care if it takes more then a half year before you can make her, but now I'm atleast sure I will get her. "

 

@Mademoiselle Grymms I agree about skin tones, too. In my other doll hobby, most of my dolls are suntan, tan, or dark, and I really like diversity amongst my dolls. While their dolls are delicate, I think that darker tones can still have the delicate feeling that they convey. I think PW's would make gorgeous dolls regardless, but I do know that there is difficulty with producing even, darker-skinned dolls.

The old tan I have is super orangey; the new tan I have is still super light...

@honeyedbiscuit oh, I misunderstood you then because you said "their previous tans" so I thoight you were referring to the suntan as well.

I also think some variety is good and I've been super excited about seeing their new tan skin. Some more comparison photos would be great though. The two skin tones look very similar in the photo they posted on IG.

I agree that most of their skin tones are really light/subtle. I own all of their "normal" skin tones (white, normal, suntan, urban brown) and while I see the difference in person, its hard to convey over the camera. However, The urban brown is definitely darker than the suntan ever was (and certainly darker than this savannah color will be).

The album makes the difference in suntan vs normal appear more subtle then it is in person.

From the photos, it appears the savannah brown is cooler then the suntan is but I don't believe its any darker.

I was reading the layaway page and had a noob question for you all. I am accustomed to using PayPal for my layaway payments with other companies. Has the layaway gone smoothly for those of you who have used the 'Bank Transfer Deposit' option? Peak's Woods says to choose this option when doing layaways but not sure how it would work for me because of the fees associated with international transfers.

 

I have always used Paypal for my layaway through Peaks Wood. You choose a bank to deposit the first time (and don't exchange any money), it's just their way of making a reservation. Once it's confirmed Peak's Wood creates the layaway page for you and you can pay with Paypal.

Question for all of you more familiar with Peakswood's and their release schedule:

Last time they did the FOC dolls, did they have as many options as they do this time? I see the Kisha head is available for sale this time around and I was wondering if anyone knew if she was available in one of the last batches? Or have any idea if she might pop up again?

Yeah I noticed that too- I don’t remember seeing her as an option during the last order period. Makes me a bit nervous- she was originally released on the AB body but Peakswoods have closed that body option. I think it would be safe to assume Kisha will be available as an option for the next FoC order period (if no, if you message them about it they’re pretty flexible.)

 

@EmmiImee Even tho it's hard to photograph it's always nice to have some comparison pictures, urban brown indeed pops out of the others. Your Tristan looks lovely with it. Do wonder do they still produce this skin color? Lately I haven't seen it pass by lately.

@honeyedbiscuit Also like your Tristan of purse. Again I do also like the subtillness of this skin, especially nicely stifled with that wig

 

@Mademoiselle Grymms Peak's Woods mentioned on their Instagram that the doll factory they work with currently doesn't accept the urban brown skin color. It was their most recent post with the color chart.

I'm really curious about how the savannah brown will look in person.

That's a pity! It is a difficult color to get right... they actually had to remake my Tristan when I first got her. But the color is gorgeous. I'm really glad I got her in that color now!

I'm curious about the savannah brown too. In the first photos, it seemed less saturated than the suntan but the color chart makes it appear to be the opposite. Maybe it will be like the suntan vs normal where the suntan looks really similar in pictures but in person, there is a clear difference.

I'm personally waiting on them to reopen the green resin. I've seen some gorgeous vampire girls come in that color!

 

Yes, that was my answer, I asked them that question because I was thinking about a 67cm body for my Keith the Prince, but sadly they gave me that answer, no more Urban Brown

 

Does anyone have a PW boy? I'm thinking about "needing" one but concerned about the clothing. Is it hard to dress the boys? They seem very thin and tall and might be a problem finding a pattern that would work. Girls are easy to dress and the clothing is pretty universal. Does anyone have a favorite Dandy sculpt? Help me decide.

 

Ah thats too bad! Geuss that also means there is a slim chance of them ever producing another darker skintone.

 

I've spent most of the day studying the sculpts on the Dandy boys. I do like the White Rabbit but prefer the open eyed dolls. I think Geo is the same head with the open eyes...he's pictured in a grey skin. So hoping it would be ok in the white as I'm not ready to spend more on the darker skintone. I have a Delight in Suntan. Also unsure how that would look. Then I went on to check out the clothing. Oh boy...not that easy. Freedom Teller is out of many items. I like the one with a blue checked shirt but unsure if the plain shirt shown comes with it...not menu choice??? Found some stuff on eBay. Shoes are trickey. The Nine Style are kinda pricey...any other places to check?

As for clothing, the 61cm bodies are pretty slim. I have a 2014 Peakswoods boy and the newest Dandy bodies are slightly taller but both my boys can pretty much wear the same pants (the difference isn't noticeable to me anyway). SD13 shirts tend to be baggy - I haven't tried any SD10 shirts...not sure if those may be too short. SD13 shoes seem to be a little big - depending which company you purchase from. I have a pair of converse from TTYA that fit comfortably. I purchased 2 other pairs of shoes from Alice Collections and from Ebay and they both seem a bit big. I've owned a Souldoll Zenith and Peakswood boys are WAAYYY easier to shop for lol!
What boy were you thinking you were needing?

 

Krystina---Great Photo...and your boy has the open eyes which I prefer. They look great and rather mysterious with the sleepy eyes but I like my dolls to look a me. If you read my previous post about the White Rabbit and the Geo sculpt you will see my uncertainty. I think they are the same sculpt but not sure. Geo has the open eyes. If I ordered the white skin will that FU look OK or too pale, not sure. I tried to order yesterday with a grey wig but got confused...said nothing was in my cart???? I'd be afraid to order the 67cm body...oh boy pretty tall. I have some TTYA clothing that he might be able to share. Maybe their jeans also.... For now I'm still trying to figure out how to order what I want...scary without help at the "checkout." I have two other PW dolls and both are gorgeous...the best FUs out there IMO. My biggest struggle is accepting the fact that I might buy another doll when I'm trying to downsize...anyone have that problem? Have you ever ordered Freedom Teller clothing? fit? I have a suit from Sadol and it's great...a perfect fit...and quality.

 

So I'm back...cannot get the shopping cart to work?? But I did get it to take my selections in the WISH LIST but now cannot find how to access that wish list. I thought they were taking orders yesterday but maybe I'm wrong. I cannot get the drop down menus to allow me to make a specific selection in the clothing section. I am clueless.

 

Are you talking about White Rabbit Seize and Gio looking similar? They look completely different to me, Gio has fuller lips and his open-eyed version, his eyes are open more.

Your Wishlist should be accessible through "My Page" in your account.

The Drop-down works kind of weird; you have to do the top most drop-down box before being able to get options in the next drop down box.

Once you have your selections made; do you have the option to Go to Cart? Usually, after you place your order, you get a confirmation number and you can either email Peakswoods letting them know you've placed an order or just go to your Paypal (if you're paying with Paypal) and just pay the amount that's on your purchase page (don't forget to add your confirmation number). Hope this helps!

Haven't tried any of the SD13 clothes (just SD17 sizes) from Freedom Teller. I would like to get another pair of their jeans though- very good quality indeed!

@paxita has a Gio next to Troy (the doll I have) next to each other. Both very cute; Gio is unreal! I don't think I can handle an SD17 boy; too much doll for me lol!

OK Krystina---I now consider you my BJD mentor! I did a lot a research last nite again and slept on the ordering process. I got so excited I needed to slow down and THINK. I pulled out my other BJD dolls and thought OMG....I am crazy for ordering another. BUT I do not have a boy. Never found one that looked boyish. I appreciated your observation about Gio...he does have large lips which I rather like...making him not too dainty. Also found more photos of him on Instagram which helped. I got stumped ordering the doll because I wanted the grey wig and not the blonde...figured that out. Also bought the Sadol suit in PURPLE with the blue stripe shirt. Rather excited about that because it's so different. Shoes....need to find. 7.5cm foot. Liked a grey pair on etsy but sold out (of course). Right after I got my confirmation from PW my phone rang from my bank. Scared me...but they wanted confirmation for a large overseas CC payment. Actually a good thing. Now the wait (and more shopping). Time to start sewing for my girls again...in the mood. Thanks so much. Cathie

I ordered the SD13 size...big enough for me. I rationalized that I needed a BOY. Really didn't think I'd be ever be buying another PW doll but I was wrong. I do feel like I'm spending $$$ that's needed elsewhere but got hit with large dental bills for implants and thought---hey, I'm retired and I DESERVE some fun too. Right? My next problem is boy shoes. Man...hard to find. The ones on the site are big and not sure they would work for PW SD13. I did check out Alice Collections and found they to have a few that would work...not what I'd pick but this guy can't wear a fancy suit barefoot! If anyone knows of a seller for SD13 boys that fit pretty well please give me a shout out. I am very pleased with the Gio face, just hope the FU looks good on the white skin.

I would love to post when I get the doll if I can figure out why my Flicker album is corrupted. I wrote them for help and hope I can at least delete the account and start over. Oh my goodness... The Alice in Dreamyland dolls are haunting my dreams... They are SO BEAUTIFUL! Anyone expecting them?

 

Can someone tell me what size eyes the 61cm Dandy boys wear? I've looked everywhere and can't find that info. That's for the wide eyed Gio. It's probably right in front of my nose but can't find it on the PW site.

 

@Cathie Milwaukee The information on the head sculpt page says 14mm. It's here if you want to take a peek! I'm planning on putting a Gio on layway, though I still have to decide between sleepy or awake.... Decisions, decisions!

 

My Gio Blue (dreamy eyes) wear 12mm

 

Well they sure hid that info on the eye size from me. Looked everywhere but probably just overlooked it. Also makes sense the dreamy eyed boys only need the 12mm. Thank you.

 

Does anyone have a favorite brand of eyes? Something spectacular (not Oscar--I know about those).

 

When they release next month, I'm hoping to get a pair of eyes by this maker. I've been following this person on Instagram for some time; I really like how the pupils appear to be soft. No matter the eye size I use, my opened eye doll always looks like he's staring my down.
I hear Dolcebella is pretty good too.
Right now, I only have Oscardoll

 

I like these the eyes are so deep and wonderful.
