Poor Samigina hasn't been photographed in five years, and I just changed his wig so I figured it was about time He's a Dandy Tristan in blue gray. He's ocean-themed so what you see on his face are barnacles

My Lemon in urban brown and Dark Elf Lune in emerald arrived today! They also gave me a Lemon Blue gift head lol now I need a body. I'm not sure what skin tone Lemon Blue is (I only have darker or special skin tones from PW and she's creamier? than my other white skin dolls, but close to my french yellow from loongsoul so ), so I will have to figure that out. I didn't expect the dolls to arrive this fast! So I don't have much for them. Here they are in some temporary eyes/wigs (under the cut lol).

This thread doesn't see much action so I'm dropping by with my Emerald Green Lune, who I just finished!



After I started seeing Dark Elf Lunes I kind of regretted getting a regular Lune, but now that he's all done I'm so glad I got this version! His eyes and mouth are soooo cute! I love him so much

I now have 3 Peakswoods boys and am thinking in the future I should get a girl in one of their fantasy skin tones

My Shen Jiu is not yet finished but I already love him so much!

 

They overcharged me and didnt even bother apologizing or offering me my money back. They gave me points...
They made sure to tell me I wasnt getting a pair of eyes though.

The 20% off event meant order the head and body separately for the 20% off. If you ordered "full doll" you did not get the discount.
Therefore, they refunded orders with points so you still get the discount - so it was a curtesy.
They did not overcharge me. Sorry!!!

 

@Littlebirdzoom : Have you received your human Han? I received my two girls (Hon and Lavin), but I haven't received Han, and I'm planning on e-mailing Peak's Woods about him, but I thought I should check DoA first to see if anyone else who ordered him has received him. I'm getting a bit concerned...

 

Nope I haven't yet but there's no need to be concerned. Peakswoods historically takes a long long time, and if you did layaway they don't START making your doll until after the last payment. So then it will take even longer. The people who got their dolls paid in full. Did you use layaway?

 

Dose anyone know if PW Suntan can match switch milktea?

So, question for who already has the FOC Lolita body. How is the posability? And how easy is to find clothes for it?

 

From my experience, all PW dolls pose so lovely and easily. Clothing is pretty easy to find. I have Smart Doll sized clothing on them and DD/SD13 and they fit great. Though I haven't tried tighter pants yet so I can't speak for those.

 

I received my Han Monster (plus an extra human head) in January. I did ordered him blank in white skin and paid in full.

 

My Myou body finally came in the mail not to long ago for my Tristan head. The match isn't perfect as Myou's resin is a lot paler, but it doesn't bother me a whole lot with a faceup and wig. I have a Kid Delf in Real Skin Peach and that seems to be a better match color wise to Peaks Woods Normal; it's just a tiny bit paler. I had to sand down the neck a little, too, but I'm happy to finally have my first full 1/3 doll. I've named her Kumiko.

 

Did anyone get their Han? I did not order him but I would love to see photos! Also curious if anyone ordered Daze, I think I may want to get him during the next ordering period.

 

I have received my Han some months ago! Sadly I've not yet finished his faceup, he's still a WIP, but the plan is to do it before the end of the month.
And here is my Shen Jiu in all his unfinished glory

 

I do not bring a Han, but I do bring my freshly put together vampire Red, now that she has a faceup, a body and I finished blushing her hands. She is on a Maskcat body (I wanted something a little more in the vein of a classic SD13 for her, plus I just loved how delicate the body looked) and I can safely say that the color match between PW and Maskcat white is basically perfect! Her name is Lottie.

DDE just got a bunch of FOCs in stock! I'm mildly tempted by Gumiho Miro, but I think I'm safe for now since I want the character in darker grey skin.

My layaway for Miro Blossom and Hon is almost finished and in the meantime I'm doing some shopping for them, so I wanted to ask (and I'm really sorry if it has already been asked and I didn't manage to catch it): which size of wig do the girls of this line fit in cm?
On the PW site it sais 8/9 inches, but it can go from 20 to 23 cm and I'm unsure about what to get for them.

 

I am super super tempted by the DDE stock but PW also has their FOB sale going on and I have to get a FOC body for the free Lemon Blue head they sent me earlier this year *dolly want problems everywhere*

 

@karlyl Same thing here! I got a Hunky Dory head earlier this year and now I need to save for a body. PW makes their dolls so hard to resist, though.

Hello everyone! I recently have taken an interest into Peak's woods dolls and I have a few questions.

1)I've only had Volks dolls and one of my old white resin dolls turned yellow-green eventually even when keeping her out of the sun. I'm curious for anyone who has the FOC girls in other skin colors (particularly gray), how does the resin hold up? My tan dolls pretty much look the same since I got them.
2) Is there any company who makes clothes that fit FOC well? I understand Volks is a little big on them.
3)I understand after reading this thread that the next FOC order is usually around Halloween and the FOB order is now. Do they only release each type of doll once a year or are there multiple times? Edit: Found this answer

@cakeinversailles I bought my Blue Gray Tristan secondhand in 2016. Though I don't remember what year he was made, I've had him for six years now have not noticed any yellowing or fading! He is kept inside a glass cabinet in a somewhat dark room, and has probably gotten a little bit of indirect light.

 

All of my PW girls wear 8/9 wigs

 

That's nice to know in case I get a gray. Thanks so much! I wonder if anyone has insight on their white skin dolls. They look pinkish, I wonder if they yellow less?

@cakeinversailles I actually have a white skin one, too. I ordered him in 2014, and yes, the white skin has a pink underdone to begin with. Despite being in the same conditions as my Tristan, the white resin has discolored over time, though I wouldn't say "yellowed" in the sense of becoming more yellow... but instead, the pink faded. So now it has a kind of peachy undertone. I hope that makes sense! It has certainly aged better than other white skin dolls I have.

 

Ou that is so good to know that the white resin holds up a bit better than most dolls. That neon green was disappointing for me. Thank you for the information

@cakeinversailles my Peakswood dolls are very old, and I don't think they use the same colors anymore. I have a 2008 that was white skin, and like overlordu said, it's like the undertones have faded over time so there is no pink in it now. I have a normal one made I think in 2015 and it's color appears the same normal tone, just paler. Of course now Peakswood offers so many more colors, and overall color formulas are more stable than they used to be. You should pick the color that you like best!

All Dollheart brand clothes fit Peakswood girls very well (or at least they used to, mine are very old)

Hi, i love hon and gumiho miro but the price is 1200$ for a nude doll with faceup on dde, was it the real price on Peakswoods ?

 

They were about $1000/1030 from Peakswoods with the options DDE has, so they're definitely charging more. Likely because of whatever contract they do or don't have or shipping. So yeah, they're priced a little higher there. Peakswoods dolls are already so expensive ><

It might be because of the shipping fee from Korea. Last time I bought a doll directly from Iplehouse it was almost $100 to ship a slim MSD size doll to the US. If I go on Peakswoods and use this listing the total comes to $1,065 for all the same options. It looks like DDE is adding $155, and if you subtract what is probably an expensive shipping fee they're maybe only making $55, or maybe nothing at all considering she's a bigger 1/3 girl. Just my best guess here. I don't know what the current shipping situation from south Korea is this year, but a year or so ago it was nuts.

 

I highly doubt DDE pays shipping from Peakswoods- more likely that PW eats it for the opportunity to sell so many dolls at once. DDE's in stock dolls would have arrived with ordered dolls together in a big shipment. Or, they are possibly dolls that people ordered and cancelled.

 

You could be right. It's just DDE does not seem to be a full time dealer of Peakswoods dolls. I've emailed them several times when there's an event and they say they're not participating and I can't order through them. They seem to only order a certain amount of the limiteds at random. I have no idea what their arrangement is, it just doesn't seem to be the same as with Fairyland, Dollzone, etc.
I guess you can call the extra cost the second chance tax or something lol.
I have always been really curious how dealers operate and stuff, it must be so fun to be able to see all the different dolls.

 

I think this is an unusual question but I’m leaving the hobby and hope to sell everyone. I just don’t know how best to do it. I don’t know how to post photos on DOA so I need another option. I have 4 FOC girls and would like a fair price, but I’m not looking to make money. I want a good home. Can someone give me an idea of what would be a good price range. I have a tan Tristian, 2 Rosemii, and Mona in Pink Punch. Thanks for any help. They do have Oscar eyes, wigs and extras, but these are gifts.

 

If you want to sell them on DoA, you need to figure out how to include photos. DoA does not host photos, so you have to use a photo hosting website (personally I use flickr), and when you make a sale thread there is a section for photos, where you just paste the image's URL.

If you can't figure out the image hosting thing, you can try to sell them on Instagram. However, hashtags have been seriously compromised there so buying and selling has slowed down because people can no longer browse the dolls for sale. So you'd rely on others sharing your post, or you can tag accounts that share sale posts ("bjdsale" and "bjd__sale" are the two that I know of).

Another option, which I don't really recommend, is to use eBay. Not sure how quickly stuff sells there, but you'll get more fees taken out AND there's a lot of scamming by buyers these days. But, you can upload photos directly and don't have to put up with social media shenanigans.

I can't really advise you on how much to ask, that's up to you. But the secondhand market is full of dolls, so if you want them to go fast then you can do a lower price to make them more enticing.

 

Just adding to what overlordu said:

Facebook marketplace is not bad. You can upload photos directly from your device, no need for hosting.
There are several sales groups you can join, and you can have your sales post go up in multiple groups, after you've joined those groups, and their mods review your post.

I have found it useful both as a seller and buyer. Just make sure to read the rules for the groups, and make sure to detail your sales carefully, with all necessary info. Don't be afraid to ask people for their feedback threads too.

 

If the dolls have one of the limited face ups and are in very good/like new condition you can probably start at around their original cost.
Lower the price for any issues (yellowing, scratches, stains, damaged face up or hands blushing).
For the basic face ups you will have to start lower than original price I think. Since it's easier to find/buy.

If you prefer a quick sale make it cheaper. (money is tight for a lot of people with inflation and costs rising) You can also always reduce the price if you don't get buyers.

 

Hello! I have a question that has been turning in my head for a while like a kebab.
I would love to give my normal resin FOC Dandy Han heeled feet, so he can wear lovely high heels shoes.
Has anyone already changed the feet of their bjd and have any idea of what brands can fit?
I have searched a bit and these by Doll Family H seem a good option. In that case, does anyone know if there's a colour that resin matches, or gets close to PW normal?

 

@Veraverorum I'm not sure about feet, but I do know that Luts Real Skin Peach is fairly similar to Peaks Woods Normal.

I feel like I get possessed by a resin demon every autumn when the Halloween event comes. My resin fever gets higher and higher. I have been wanting a Peakswoods doll for years now, but I still don't have any room in my budget for one. Lemon Blue in the emerald skintone would be a dream. Might as well try to save some money for one next year since I always end up thinking about them when autumn arrives!

 

I know exactly how you feel, Peakswoods always gets me to come near draining my life savings. Straight up possession lol. I'm struggling getting my cart under 3 dolls right now and that's after I told myself to behave. And they went and added Kass for me when I asked so now I feel like I have an obligation lol. But I'e been craving a Goldie and am scared she won't be released again. Struggling so bad with this release. Need to rob a bank lol

 

Yes indeed! Every time I feel like I don't need new resin right now they come and tease with their event. Ughh I totally understand the need to buy her just in case she won't be released again. I always fear that with dolls, too. So, uhh, count me in with the bank robbery then...

 

I feel that. They added Lottie as option for me. I can only afford one doll at this event, and I can't get my eyes of Mona. I think I want Mona more. I feel guilty

In the future, just remember that Peakswoods is the nicest doll company on this earth and will probably do what you ask, so be careful! Twice they have done special requests for me, they are so sweet!!!

I can't even look at their event this year, I'm so super broke and their beautiful Halloween offerings will break my heart! Someday I hope I can get Mimi Crow in a fantasy color... maybe next Halloween!
