Peakswoods 26cm Fairies of Fairy Tales discussion part 2

I believe they are 16 cm like Lati Yellows and Pukifees, because they are listed under Fanta 16. I'm totally looking forward to them! Especially Wonder is my favourite!

Hi! I've been lurking in this thread since last year. I have a Vampire Leo-girl on order since July with the cute little teeth marks in her throat. *squee*

I've really been enjoying all the doll photos. But, does anyone have a Vampire Leo photo they'd like to share?
It's been such a long wait...

Did you pay layaway?? I paid mine full and the wait time was 3 months for a doll with face ups and 2 months for blank dolls

 

No, I paid in full. But, I did put my order in through Denver Dolls. I guess it takes longer if you don't order directly from them.

 

Since July?? I would go ahead and ask Denver Dolls about the status of your order by now. I know they typically collect orders for each company and send them in bulk at the end of the week or whatever ordering period it is if it's an event, but it shouldn't take 6 months, especially if you paid in full!

 

I agree, @Rabbit-moon hope you can get your Leo soon!

Denver Dolls got back to me today about my doll. It seems that DDE haven't heard anything from Peakswoods for some time, and they have another order pending from May 2016 that they have not heard back on. Yikes! That doesn't sound good.

I'm not going to panic. This hobby has taught me to be pretty patient. I had to wait 13 months for a Dollshe once. I'm sure DDE will sort it all out.

 

Yikes, it seems like getting a Fanta16 (their new promo) may take a year if you go through a retailer. Sometimes I think DDE waits a good month or more to place orders after they get a decent number from customers... Just a suspicion. Is it faster to order direct from Peak's Woods?

 

I've had the same suspicion, stellarphenomena. I think next time I will order directly from Peakswoods.

I just hope it isn't bad news, like they lost the order or something.

I think I'll order direct too if I do. DDE just takes too long for orders...surprisingly I found out, the companies don't take that long. When I've ordered from Fabric Friend Dolls for example I always get stuff within 2-3 months!

 

I hope you get your orders soon from DDE, long waits are no fun .

I'm interested in Wonder but I wanted to see her without a wig so I asked if Peaks wood's had any pictures of her bald and they did! They answered my question on one of their facebook posts really fast. I'm just going to post links to what they showed there in case someone else is interested too. I love that they are available in fantasy colours too .

I'm interested in Wonder too but I am not sure what skin colour to order because there are 6 skin colours available. I always wanted to have a doll in turquoise, so maybe emerald green would be a good choice for me. But I can not find any Peakswoods doll in this skin colour, so I don't know if I would like it. Emerald green seems to be not popular at all. If anyone knows where to find a photo of emerald green doll, please, let me know.

 

I ordered my FOF Vampire Star Prince in emerald green but and I'm supose he'll be shiping next month

 

I think DDE is discontinuing Peakswoods - if you go to their site the only ones available are the monthly fairy and what may be in stock the rest say discontinued.

 

Emerald green is one of the newest colors, so that might be a big factor in the lack of photos, as well. Emerald green was introduced during last Halloween's event, if I recall correctly, so dolls of that color resin will have only recently shipped. Also, fans who may have been interested in emerald green may not have been able to order during that time period for one reason or another, so I wouldn't say that it isn't a popular color.

 

I paid off my tan doll late September and just got a shipping notification on her the other day. I would email Peak's Wood and ask for an update. Chances are it is caught up in makeup but it's better to check since I did have a doll arrive with no shipping notification recently.

 

Wow! I hadn't notice that before, Merlin's Mom. I certainly hope they are not discontinuing Peakswoods. I think there was something in the News Thread some time ago about Peakswoods closing open ordering of all their dolls except for what they offer monthly. But, I'm not sure.

Thanks Emmilmee, Im still waiting to hear back from Denver Dolls on her status. I didn't buy directly from Peakswoods.

 

@Merlin's Mom it might be because Peak's Woods has closed orders for some dolls and they will only offer them at events. Peak's Woods have said in the past they are having too many orders so delays have been happening. Still with delays and all my dolls with no face up only took 2 months, I feel face ups is the thing that adds to the delay by a lot.

Wow! I was a little worried there for a bit because it was taking so long, but I'm a happy girl now! (Eight months is quite a stretch.)

Thanks Merlin's Mom! I worry sometimes when these uber-long waits happen that I will lose my enthusiasm for the doll. Eight months is a ridiculously long time to wait for a doll. But, I'm still feeling really excited about getting her. It's been such a long wait, I've had all her clothes and shoes and stuff waiting for her for months!

Thank you very much for your reply! I had no idea the emerald green colour is so new. The emerald green vampires started to arrive recently. I saw two photos of them on Flickr. The colour is so nice that I ordered my Wonder in green skin yesterday.

Tah Dah! Here she is - My darling Vampire Leo (girl) has finally arrived!!! I'm so thrilled with her! She's so gorgeous! I love her soulful eyes. (And, I love that Peakswoods give you an extra pair of hands!)

Thank you Ellesmera! I'm so happy with her. Unfortunately Peakswoods forgot to do the paint job on the fang-marks in her neck. Even though I'm not an artist, maybe i can do something about that.

Thanks! Yes, that's what I had in mind! Dracula & Mina (not a vamp). They are the OZ dolls Tin Man & Leo. (I also have Scarecrow as Alice).

Thank you! The wig is different isn't it, it's one of Leekeworlds event colors called Misty Mystery (I think).

 

@stellarphenomena - I really love the color & style. I'm always intimidated by Leekeworld's site because they have so many options! It makes my head spin! I'll keep my eye out for styles in this color now though.

 

I keep any eye out at Denver Doll Emporium and try almost all of the new colors! The style is 'Beatrice', they don't have this color anymore, but others are still available. They have a boy style in the Mystery Misty though.

Sorry I'm a little late posting a picture of my Vampire Leo girl! But, she's all dolled up now, and ready to make her debut.

Here is my Leo girl, Mina, and the object of her affection, Dracula, a grey 5Star Batboy.

Dracula's outfit is a YOSD DollHeat outfit, Cortez. (I just had to leave the comical Admiral's hat in the box to make this outfit work for the Dark Prince.)

When I bought the outfit I was scared it wouldn't fit him, since he's a 30cm boy. It's a bit tight on him, but, I was so relieved that it fit him at all! Additionally, he's wearing high black boots to hide the fact that the pants are too short. But, all in all, it's fits him fairly decently.

Mina's outfit is from Alice's Collection.

 

Nice. The cape and jewel really adds to an amazing outfit. Can't beat Dollheart, my PW vampire is wearing one too. I had red eyes in my dolls too, but I got tired of looking at after awhile...

 

Stellarphenomena, your little Dracula looks great in his DollHeart outfit, too. Yeah, DollHeart is hard to beat! I love their clothes.

The little cape was made by Brandon of Wicked Stitchery on Etsy. He's the absolute BEST! I've been buying clothes from him for my BJDs for over a decade.

I'm really pleased with how my Chibi Mina (Vampire Leo) came out. I wanted her to be almost ghostly in her appearance, and very old-fashioned looking.
