I want to share this other photo that I took while the photo contest was going on... it was actually my favorite, but for some reason I submitted a different one. Now I wonder if the result would have been different. Congrats to the winners all the same!

My little vampire arrived today along with four new backdrops (this is one of them). I have called her Sybil von Raven. She won't stay in these clothes or wig, I'm just waiting on her new wig to arrive before making her clothes?

Does anyone own Hucky - Christmas version? (The one that is Dollheart collaboration.)
I really like Hucky in that version but barely find the picture of her on the internet, except from Dollheart pictures as they usually use her as their YOSD model.

i think I'm in love with peakswoods...i want a rabbit goon but what eye size do these little ones take??

 

I only have a Cheshire Goon so I'm not sure if the eye sizes differ significantly between sculpts... but my Sohvi came with 14mm glass eyes! I personally think 12mm would look great in her because the pupil just seems really big in 14mm.

designedforsmiles - Your Sohvi is to be adored!! I agree, 12 mm would look good as well in that face & it would probably give a more realistic look, but this "doe-eyed" look is cute too!

 

Thank you! 14mm is the size I have the most of somehow, haha. I have a pair of pupil-less 14mm handmade glitter eyes I bought in Sohvi now just for something different, but I do love the color she came with~ it's so vibrant.

 

Hi, I'm thinking of adopting my first peakswood doll as rabbit goon, but not too sure what eye color would suit for him since he has a very small eyes. I don't want his eyes look too dark when taking photos, so maybe a brighter color like saturated red? Can I have some photos of rabbit goon in various eye color please? Thank you ><

Thanks for the info! I'm not really looking for wings, but I've always wanted the fairyland ones, and these ones are really pretty, as much as the FL ones in my opinion.

Hi, could you guys answer some questions for me, if you can? I figured I would ask people who actually own these dolls. I'm ordering my vamp Lady Alice in less than two weeks and I'm very nervous because I've never ordered a doll from a shop before. All of my dolls have been bought secondhand on the marketplace so this is very new and exciting!

1. Would Volks optional hands be compatible with these little ones? I saw there was a resin match between Peakswood normal and Volks pureskin but I don't know about fit.

2. Are Lady Alice's vampire teeth very prominent on a blank head? I've tried everywhere to find a clear close up of this...I'm torn between human and vamp over this.

3. Which did you guys prefer to buy from, Peakswood website or Denverdoll?

I can only help with 3. From what I've heard ordering from DDE takes ages longer (there were talks in the waiting thread and the FOC thread of it taking 5-6 months) and ordering directly through PW will be faster. I prefer buying from then directly as they've always been a pleasure to deal with. Hope that helps

 

I can help with your second question. I have a vampire Lady Alice and I don't think the teeth are that prominent. I've painted them very white, so that way they are sort of popping, but I think you can control it how you like ^^
The vampire version is insanely cute ;D no biased opinion here...

 

Thank you both. I had an idea to sand off one fang so she just has a cartoony angry fang sticking out but if they're itty bitty teeth then maybe both fangs can stay. Gosh Alice is so cute! Deciding was so hard. I liked Dorothy, Chichi and Alice but you can't have all three(at least I can't, husband would freak!)
Ouch that shipping fee. I was going to buy her this friday but the shipping fee will push back buying her one more week. The agony!

 

Did you order Lady Alice vamp in the end Rive ?? I love that sculpt ! I have a Lady Alice myself hehe
I have no idea about Volks hands, but I'd love to have more hands for my girl as well. Have anyone tried any other hands on the FoF body?

Also I forgot to put here my Fof body review, and I think it could be useful for people in the future, if they ever come to this thread asking about PW tinies.

I think their range is quite good, but sure it's not like little fees or anything haha

designedforsmiles , your Sohvi is a beauty. I can't get enough of the PW FoF'S!!

 

Lovely!!! being a girl suits the sculpt a lot!! With that much light the tan skin looks very light, but I like it! One of my dolls (not PW) is the same and it just makes the tan skin more natural imo ~

 

Ellesmera, you're right, the light only makes her look normal because frankly this "tan" is not dark at all. Not compared to my other BJD's. It's not even as dark, as say, the lightest Luts tan (which I think is called "brown"?). It is in reality just a peachier shade...darker than my "normal" Peaks Woods. Oh well!

I also made the "Leo" sculpt into a girl! She's actually a "Mina" as I made Sir Tin into a Dracula!

 

I love those wings! What a cutie.

 

It depends on the light, I'm sure that it will look more tan in the shade I think it's quite lovely
I love Leo girls too~ though mine will stay being a boy

Also, thanks for stating which sculpt your cute girl is! I'm not as familiar with the the Fairies of Fairytales sculpts as with the larger sculpts, so I still have trouble telling them apart sometimes. I'd love to see your Sir Tin as well! It seems like Halloween would be the perfect time to see a little Dracula.
