thanks opal & alington! She is just a dream. I'm already looking at another PW girl - they are just divine I've been experimenting with new eyes tonight - I really hate it - I can never get them just right and she ends up looking a bit wonky!

 

I alreay know a Mori Moth needs to come live with me again, lol.

 

Valee.anne, some PW sculpts look best with their eyes slightly side glancing or just a tad cross eyed--but it took me forEVER to get used to it, especially with their smaller sculpts. I think it's because the eyes are proportionally so large!

Opal, if it helps, I've had three different Lady Bees living with me at one time or another. Right now, I just have two. So I agree! Morimoth probably is calling to you!

My large PW girls need a little FoB sister ... I'm considering Lady Bee for now, but it's really hard to decide, they are all so adorable!!
I really like this sculpt too, not sure if it's a PW girl or Luts KDF Ani ... but it's a limited or custom face up for sure - do any of you recognize her?

 

That's Luts Ani. They use her almost exclusively for their MSD clothing. But PW and Luts MSDs are very similar.

 

Aw, now I kinda wish I ordered during the Summer Event after seeing all this awesome news. Well, I'm still very excited to see all the new dolls PeaksWoods will be coming out with! Maybe after the event some more FOB stuff will be released...?

Not yet. Peak's Woods said she should be shipped out around the 20th, so she'll probably be here soon! They're going to be attending an BJD convention on the 14th and 15th, so that may have slowed them down a little bit. I'm still super excited, even though I have yet to purchase her any clothes!

EDIT: I was thinking about ordering an outfit from Luts for my KoonieS and I was wondering if Luts shoes would also fit them...? I don't believe their feet are that different in size, but I just wanted to make sure before I bought anything. And if not, what company would probably be my best bet? Sorry if this was asked before. I tried looking it up, but there isn't much info on F.O.B dolls out there. Thanks everyone!

 

Seriously considering a mori moth as my first BJD. Do you think she would be a good choice?

 

I don't own a Mori Moth, but I think there's at least one owner in this discussion...? I think Mori Moth is really cute, and that she'd be a great first choice for a BJD, as long as you don't mind Peak's Woods dolls limitations in pose-ability. If this does bother you, making a hybrid is always an option, as well!

 

I had Mori Moth and loved her. Stupid me traded her a couple of years ago and I think I want another. She's lovely, a good size for clothing. As BerryPeachy said she's not as posable as some, as I recall her wrists and ankles didn't bend well at all, but still, I think she's a lovely choice.

 

I just love that face! I was looking at Fairyland for quite some time the other day and I just don't find their face sculpts nearly as appealing as PW for some reason.

 

I got the most beautiful dress in the mail today from ATSuri...now if only Wake up Lady Bee would arrive to wear it! :P It's been 10 - 11 weeks since I placed the order thru DDE.

 

Yeah...I've been waiting for about the same time (a week less than you, I think). I probably shouldn't have ordered during an event period, but hopefully they'll both be on their way soon! I bet the dress you ordered will look awesome on her once she arrives.

 

The dress is gorgeous and should be perfect for my girl. She's also coming with a little sister, I ordered ChiChi at the same time.

 

I'm trying to decide whether or not to order Lady Bee in the elf version. Does anyone have photos of this sculpt?

Mona (my KoonieS) arrived yesterday! She is very adorable. She's strung very tightly, so she can't really stand yet on her own without suddenly kneeling. I'll probably restring her once I get the chance.

This is Laila, my FoB Mori Moth. I finally just gave her her first face-up.



Before, I thought if I was going to get rid of one 1/4 doll, it would be her, but now I love her soo much!

It's just a bummer that her head and body differ so much in color. ):
Her head almost looks like it's white skin, so I blushed it with pink, but now it's pinker then the body. Dx

Now I just need to make her wig (purple to match her eyebrows), and make her some clothing.

 

Nice face-up Kielin, I love how colorful it is! And don't worry too much about the pink tone, I think it makes it look like she has rosy cheeks. Cute!

 

Finally, after 4 months, my Wake Up Lady Bee is on the way home, yay! She should be here tomorrow.

Hey everyone, I'm new to Den of Angels and I can't wait for my PW Mori Moth! She is supposed to be delivered tomorrow from Doll Peddlar. Last week I got FOF Hucky and love her, so I can't wait to see how the bigger girl will look.

I saw your MoriMoth on the Box Opening threads, Melly! She is super cute! Did you get her in the white skin?

Currently my KoonieS is off for a face-up. As much as I love Peak's Woods face-ups, I think it was a little sweet-looking for the character I had in mind.

 

BerryPeachy - I can't wait to see your KoonieS with the new face up. Yes, my Mori is the white skin version. Opal - I love Wakeup Lady Bee. There is a Lady Bee in normal skin available to buy here in the US but I'm not sure how she will look next to my white skin Mori. Do collectors tend to mix and match the resin colors or stick to just one?

 

Thank you, Berrypeachy and Melly123! I had a Romantic Lady Bee in white skin once, but for some reason we couldn't bond. I'm mucy happier with my NS Wake Up Lady Bee. And yes, Melly123, a lot of collectors do mix colors in their doll families.

 

Well after spending a lot of time looking at alternatives, I've ordered a Lady Bee NS to join my family. I can't wait- I should have her Friday.

 

Lady Bee arrived today and I love her. I changed her default eyes to a little smaller. She's wearing a Dollheart outfit (but her thigh high hose won't stay up so I need to get some socks!). Here's a picture of her with Mori (I want to get her new eyes next)[/URL][/IMG]

Well I ended up taking the eyes from my Hucky (don't worry, I had other eyes for her) and putting them in Mori, and I do like them better. So I changed their wigs back again and I think I'll leave them for a bit now to settle (they are tired of my fiddling!). May I ask what brand outfits people like best? I love the Dollhearts I have, but they seem a bit tight. Since I don't use all the accessories, it is expensive for the main outfit. Thanks![/URL][/IMG]

Aw, you have such a cute Lady Bee! Congrats! I don't really know of too many casual stores, but I'm pretty sure anything for Standard MSD should probably fit. Although, on Etsy at least, a lot of the cute casual styles tend to be for slim dolls. Do your girls have the large of small bust? I know that plays a lot into the sizing, because I got my girl with the normal bust and almost everything is too baggy on her chest.

Mona came back with her new face-up today! It was getting a bit dark when I was taking pictures, so I had to lighten them up manually with my ipod and I maybe got a little carried away. Her face-up actually isn't quite as bright in person, but I'm really in love with it.

 

BerryPeachy - I love her makeup!! Her eyeshadow is so vibrant. She looks adorable! My girls have the normal chest. I don't mind if something is baggy, I just don't want them too tight. The biggest worry I have is the length of the jeans. I saw that BlueBlood sells MSD jeans, but when I emailed them they said they were too long for the girls.

Aw, thanks! And I really like that color on your MoriMoth. It's really nice to have a lot of different wigs, especially since they they can change a doll so much. I have three different wigs for Mona, actually.

 

Hybrid Question - has anyone in here had success with a different brand head looking good on a PW body? Either normal skin or white skin? Is it easy to get a head to fit on a PW body? A particular brand? Thanks ahead for any help

 

Hello all! I love the MoriMoth face - it's very hard to find dolls with smiles that aren't cold or creepy imo! - but I've read about the posing problems & was wondering if people have successfully put them on any of the newer KDF bodies & if there was much modding for it. I absolutely adore her, I've never been so taken with a doll at first glance!

Edit; I'm also wondering how the normal skin match is!

 

I wouldn't really say posing problem.

They just have simple joints. So no mobility joints. But otherwise I have no problem getting my Mori Moth to stand or anything.

I love the FOB line, they're all really cute and my Sunny just got their face painted finally after a little over a year having them

The simple joints have been pretty bitter sweet since Sunny can stand pretty amazing, but man do they pinch
More like biting ahaha

Ecmm - There are a lot of posing limitations because of the simpler joints, but I actually don't mind the bodies overall. Although, I would also like to know about the newer Kid Delf bodies.

I asked someone who'd successfully put a PW head on a KDF body, and they said it needs no modding & the skin matches very well
