I'm also waiting for Emerald green PW girl I ordered in July. ^^ I'm hoping maybe she would arrive next month? I didn't even order her with a face-up and my PW Rosemii took about 4 months with a face-up.

Hi, do Peakswood heads fit on little harmony or Minifee bodies? I love the bigger Peakswood bodies but the FOB bodies are not mature enough for my collection but I really love the heads and just got one.

 

I am going to be hybriding my Little Yeru head on a Minifee body, they fit perfectly! and I hear the normal skin match is pretty good!

 

I thought last time I checked the sculptor wasn’t well, does anyone know any updates about FOB boy body coming back around at some point?

 

I just checked my order status and it says "Queued for Shipment". So I think it means at least my girl is ready? I ordered 10th of July.
Now to stress out how long it will be until the package finds it ways all the way here...

 

Just looked, and mine is in quequed for shipping too (ordered in July too).
I really hope they can ship to me. Would love to have my girl soon, she is my first bjd.

How cute! I'm gonna be putting my Little Yeru head on a minifee body !! I love the way the Peaks Woods heads and the minifee body look together ^^ The wait is killing me though haha.

 

@suruni I asked them about my July order. I had to pay additional shipping cost because regular EMS is not operating to my country
(They offered to keep the order stored till EMS operates again too.)

Whaaat? Noooo! And why didn't they contact you themselves to tell you this, how can you as a customer be aware of all the new restrictions... x_x Sounds a bit unfair considering how expensive the shipping already is plus very high custom charges waiting when the doll arrives (at least here). I'm in EU too so not sure what my situation is with the shipping. But this makes me sad and disappointed. I hope PW will contact me if I need to pay something extra too.

 

We have quite high custom charges too,
20% tax +5% customs
Maybe I was just a bit too early with asking. They said the doll will probably be ready end of November, so it is possible that they would have contacted me then.
I had to pay 31usd more

Maybe EMS can ship to your country. Or you can ask them to store the doll. It sucks that Korea can not ship to me with regular shipping services, but it is not something Peakswoods can influence u_u

Currently waiting on the body, it's one of my christmas gifts. I promise to show her off as soon as I get her in. I'm really glad I decided to keep her, I was originally going to sell the head since it was a gift with an event and I wasn't sure what to do wit her, but now I have a whole character planned out for her ^^ she's gonna look so cute once she's all finished.

My little Yeru in emerald green skin arrived
She is very cute, but I will definitely need a bit to get used to her, she is so different from my vinyl dolls. (she is my first bjd)
She has glitter on her face, which I hope will go away over time because I am not a fan of that. The details on the face up are breathtaking though.

So.. How does one remove the head for putting clothes on? And can the Peakswoods hands be removed for clothing? Advice appreciated, I am afraid I could damage the make up on the face or hands

 

@Pyoko She’s so cute! Peakswoods emerald skin is so soft and pretty looking. To remove her head, you simply remove her headback...inside you will find an S-hook that you can lift and twist to line up with the slot and the head will come off easily. The hands...you firmly pull on one, exposing the S-hook and carefully unhook it from the elastic. And congratulations on your first BJD!

 

Yes, the skin color is lovely. I was afraid it may be too greenish, but is is nice pastel green in real.
I saw the hooks, do I need tools to hold them in place when removing parts? Like, won't the strings "pull" the hooks inside? Is it difficult to get the parts back on? The hand hooks look so tiny.

 

You won’t need any tools for the head (that S-hook is big enough not to slide back into the body) but you WILL need something when it comes to the hands. Hemostats work great for this of course...but a large safety pin looped into the elastic works also to keep it from sliding back into the channel and has the added benefit of being able to fit tight sleeves over when dressing. That’s what I use anyway. It’s also possible to loop a length of ribbon through the elastic so if it does travel back up the arm channel, you have the added length to pull it back out. I hope this helps.

Does someone have (comparison) pictures of Peakswoods FOB with 14 and 16mm eyes? Preferable on one of the bigger eyed girls.
I need to decide if I should order 14 or 16mm for Yeru^^"

The glitter doesn't show on pictures though so don't worry!
I never remove heads nor hands when dressing a doll unless the doll has a faceplate. I try to sew all the clothes the way they will fit over the head. Of course you need to be carefull not to touch the face-up with clothes.

I'm a fan of fantasy resin colours so I was hoping to see a bit more intense looking emerald green skin but your Yeru looks really pale... But I'm sure it's a lovely colour in real life!

I haven't heard anything from PW about my order. I don't blame the company about the situation but I would appreciate it if they would be the ones to keep me posted about the shipping issue. I guess nothing will happen before I ask them. I just really really don't want to pay any more $$$. I had such high hopes of getting my Vampire Dotty Muse here for Christmas but I better give those dreams up. Who knows how long the wait will be....
I can always admire the photos of the lovely PW dolls in this thread, it helps a little.

 

The color is a bit darker in real than on my picture. I do like it a lot, it is not "sick zombie green" but more a "soft mint green" and I feel it is looking natural (as far as fantasy colors can look natural xD).

Maybe they are still not through all orders, or are having too many people they have to contact about it?
They are quick to answer questions you post on the question section though.
May parcel did arrive in around a week, very fast. It was delivered by UPS. But the additional cost definitely hurts

May I ask if you have a recommendation for eyes? A good place to order in EU, or for size decision?
Since she is my first I do not have any eyes to try, and looking through etsy I get the feeling eyes are not exactly cheap. It would be a shame to order in China or wherever, wait for weeks or a month even, and than to not like the eyes.

 

I'm a fan of CandyKitten eyes myself. She has a shop in etsy but it seems she's still taking a break from orders unfortunately. Her eyes are pretty much the only eyes that have been great for my many half closed eyed bjds. I prefer glass eyes but unfortunately they usually end up looking too dark in photos (with half closed eyed dolls). Other than CandyKitten I have no suggestions since I don't usually spend that much on doll eyes.
I'm not sure if I have suitable eyes for my new PW girl either, whenever she'll arrive. I figured I'll wait until she arrives and go through all my extra eyes and if nothing suits her then I'll order a new pair. Sometimes it's hard to know what size is the best until you try different sizes. I don't have any FOB's only FOC Rosemii and she has 14mm eyes but I think 16mm would be better.

Clothes +wig are not really her size, she borrowed them from my 1/3 vinyl girls since I do not have 1/4 stuff (need to buy in the new year).

I just need a bit of time to face the fact that I need to pay for ems premium... I was just so upset to hear that and not getting any info from PW until I asked them myself. But once I get over the disappointment I will pay the shipping just to finally get my vampire dotty muse home! Until then every picture of PW FOB helps me!

Basically once every season, just follow them on social media like facebook or instagram, they have twitter too I think, there they will announce next release and some teaser pics before that.

 

Yes, the extra money hurts I will try to avoid Korean bjd makers for the moment, hoping the delivery situation gets better. On the other hand, if there is a Doll I really want.. It's hard to withstand.

I hope you can get her soon. And I would love to see pictures, Dotty is one of my favorite sculpts by them.

 

Just wondering what sorts of brands you guys have gotten your FOB girls to fit into in terms of clothes and shoes? Or maybe what you haven't been able to fit them into :P I'm super curious about shoes as well, especially for the high heel feet.

 

I finally got my Peak's Woods Vampire Romantic Dotty Muse on 13th of February. Picked her up from UPS. (I wasn't able to post anything earlier since I've been having horrible migraines every other day because of my new work x_x)
I did have to pay for EMS Premium but after 7+ months of waiting I was ready for my doll to finally come home.
I don't have any nice pictures yet since I currently don't have my camera with me but I can share one picture taken with my phone:




She's Emerald Green resin and it's wonderful! And I really love the body too, it's so pretty but also poses well. I also ordered the special nail hands for her.
She currently doesn't have eyes, wig, clothes nor face-up but I'm working on those! xD She does have a name and a character in my stories though but I will tell more about her later when I have better pictures to share.

Apparently Peakwoods is now open for orders and I just put one for Romantic dotty muse! For some reason I thought you were limited only to the heads they had in the promo pics, but you can choose whatever FOB head you want with the makeup in the pics which is awesome! Anyone else planning to get a doll from them?

Still unsure about whom though.

I had problems understanding their reply on my face up question;
Do you happen to know if they will put the event make up +expressions on the head you choose, or if it keeps its original expression?
For example if I would choose a cute smiling girl, will she keep the smile or will her expression be altered to what they feel is similar to the events head expression?

I'm assuming they will make it go with how the sculpt looks. So if she's smiling then they'll probably keep her smiling. What exactly did they reply with?

Question about make up styleQ & A - PeaksWoods

They did kind of answer that if I order Mia with the event make up she will get the same make up Mia in general has - and now I am very confused

 

So wait if you order on that page, you will get Mia as a default makeup regardless?

 

@Pyoko actually, I remember asking if you order from the limited makeup page, your girl, regardless of sculpt will get that make up, not the default basic one. Now the smiling part, they didnt seem to clarify lol.

 

Yes, I am so confused, they basically told me that even though the event make up is more expensive Mia will get the same make up as if I would just order her through her own page

On the other side they told you whomever you choose will get the event make up.
Which sounds to me like that girl will not keep their original expression.

 

Well they definitely told me if you order on the limited make up page your doll will get that. I would just ask again about the smiling aspect to clarify since its very important to you. (I attached an image of my q&a)

Yes, I will consider asking them again. It's so hard to choose which head to take without knowing much about how the make up will look on a different skin tone. There are some girls I can hardly find pictures of, like for example Vampire KoonieS. I wonder if she would make a cute Grey wolf

I think it's great that it's possible to order any head and not just the promo models when they make a new release. I really like how these RabbitHolic girls look, they are really cute in every way! But I won't order anything from any doll company any time soon since it took so many months to get my last PW girl home. :P (so hopefully I won't fall in love in any limited releases...)

I just came across the PW rabbits - love!

 

My Vampire Yeru in emerald skin arrived a bit ago. That emerald resin color is to die for, it's just perfect. Like mint ice cream.

Sadly I got sent the wrong hands and I hope it's ok to mention, but I'm looking for the special long nail hands if anyone decides they don't need theirs Peakswoods can't make more in the resin green color atm. I have the short nail special hands for trade if you'd like.

I've tried on some of my msd high heel shoes I have for her but none of them fit right. Does anyone know a good brand/size of high heels that fit the high heel feet well? Thanks!
