@Mu Shu - I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you at Bjdc, sadly I only attended Saturday's sales floor, and I heard from PinkyPink that you were not in attendance that day. Next year I want to attend the con in entirety, so hopefully I can meet you & your beautiful Yulli then if you go.

 

Oh I was there but I'd already done significant damage to my wallet on Friday so went around when it first opened on Sat for about 15 minutes then went to the pool

Unfortunately I won't be able to get my grail doll from this event. So here's hoping I find Dlight on the market sometime later or she arrives back in store again.

They're so cute!!! I think I'm going to call him "Vega". Still deciding on that, but I like the way it sounds. He's a bit of a brat
For girl Bella... maybe "Gidget?" I've never seen the show, but I like that it was about a surfing, boy-crazy teenager. Plus she dresses like a beach goer

@krystina - Oh wow! They are finally all painted and put together and look amazing! Well worth the wait imo, I love Vega's jacket and Gidget's expression. Vega looks friendly and inquisitive and Bella looks like a doting older sister. She is rocking that swimsuit in the AB body too :-)

 

Thank you! I totally agree- the wait was worth it! I got most of Vega's outfit from various Taobao G.O. I eventually want to get him a punk-school outfit and (if I ever stop buying dolls and save up for a sewing machine) I wan't to make him a jumpsuit too

@alington - Yes, thank you sooo much for letting my girl stay at the dress up table & for holding the doll clothes for purchase. It was so awesome to meet you, I felt kinda like I was meeting a celebrity! Hehe

 

I want an elf Tristan so bad but the timing is bad for me due to moving. I was able to snap a picture of my Goldie for the contest, though:

Yep , I have a thing for fairy tale dolls and Goldie kinda claimed that cape during a doll convention. But I'm going to cross my fingers on that Elf Tristan since I got a 50/50 chance of being able to order her tomorrow. I really love Tristan and want to get one of each if possible . So far got the normal Tristan as well as the open eye one on layaway.

 

Oh, thanks, you guys! It was great to meet all of you guys at the BJDC, too. @Mu Shu and @Pinkypink56 -- it was so sweet that your dads were there with you. I wish my dad would drop his De Soto restoration for just a minute and come with me to a doll convention, but he is still getting used to retirement. (He keeps trying to convince me that if I sold my dolls, I could buy an older De Soto and have a brand new "useful" hobby, LOL!) Pinky, my dad was a systems analyst (engineer) up till last year, so I felt right at home. And thanks a LOT for making me count my dolls in my hotel room after the sales floor!

@faireva my pleasure to hold outfits for you and your friend--and I hope to see you again next year, too. I'm so glad you guys had fun!

After all that, though--I'm trying to hold off this time around. I can't decide between an open-eye Tristan in lavender pink, or a suntan (or lavender) Yulli, so I think I should just wait. I just started with CodeNoir, so I really should re-invest the funds in my business. I'm planning on commissioning an exclusive outfit for me, so I can have something special to bring with me to conventions, and it would be so much better to save for that, you know? It's expensive, since I have to pay for the work up front. But I know it will be worth it in the end. I'm really, really excited about it--like, I cannot wait.

Anyways... what a fun convention! I'm so glad I went. Next year, though, I'll register as a full attendee, not just as a vendor. Good to know!

She did the photos and editing herself. All I did was help her with the catnip. She set the doll up, and Lily (or kitty), just kept wandering off. "Nope," Lily said, and walked away. "Not today." But she can't say no to catnip. Just remember to clean all catnip off the doll later. Can you tell our kitty has had catnip in the photos?

 

Oooo do you or any who went have photos of the convention I caught tid-bits about it in this thread, but I'm sooo clueless!
Are you commissioning an exclusive outfit through CodeNoir? If you are, I didn't know they do that- that's so cool! Can't wait to see the outfit!
And OMG your daughter's photos are sooo full of epic! It looks like something out of a fairy-tale; I really love seeing a story in photos- its even cooler cause she told it in just a few pictures. Tell your daughter she's got a fan

 

I have over 200 photos from the convention and its just taking awhile to get things sorted! My wallet took a HUGE hit this year and I'm still trying to decide if I can fork out the money for another doll or wait until the next release (assuming there is going to be another FOC release)


I'll see if this will work (flikr does not play nice with me at all so this is what I have uploaded so far
