Peak's Wood - Dandy Boys

Congrats on all the orders everyone!!! I love that green skin too, but have yet to get one, or the pink. Maybe someday!!

Also I think I asked again once, but wondered if anyone has gotten any new eyes since then for their boys? My Hadrian (Kasspio) has no issues with his, and they fit fine, but Rohan (Shaia) has such annoying irritating eye wells! I ordered some dollbakery eyes for him during their last pre-order and I hope they fit because nothing I have here fits right so far XD

 

I've been dreading the 7 day festival dandy event since they did it with the girls. I didn't like any of the other sculpts enough to cave (bar Kass but I already have him )

Then they went and released Gio in time for the event too...... so needless to say a Gio on a 61cm body in normal skin went straight on layaway as a reshell of my charater Space Prince!

Looking forward to having another boy along side Brooke! (Who is by far my favourite doll whoops....)

@krystina - I'm very sorry to hear this about Retro's faceup, I honestly could not tell at all from your photos. She is still a gorgeous doll though and when you put her on the marketplace I'm sure she will have no problem finding a new home. :-)
Rogita is an adorable sculpt and would look so sweet in pink punch skin! And Kisha has such a mature look in her eyes, I was thinking of getting her myself for awhile - but ended ordering Lottie instead, so it's not the first time I've changed my mine when it came down to the wire.
It's funny that you have been googling images of Blow, I did the same and gound these beauties here and here! The second photo is from a flickr user whom has many beautiful PW dolls! Including Knox
I bet they will release new dolls for either Halloween or Christmas! How exciting!! (And dangerous! Lol)

@paxita - Ohhh, congratulations! Troy snd Kasspio are so handsome & will look wonderful in the fantasy colors! It's so awesome that PW was willing to honor your request for the special skintones, they will be worth the wait and now you can have your dream boy!

@rave-andou - Congrats on your Gio! He is stunning! & Brooke is gorgeous! (I love his Cyndi Lauper shirt)

@Ravenwolf - What's the issue with the eyewells, are they too big or too small? If the urethanes don't work maybe you can try a flexible silicone style.

Sorry for the late reply! I totally went with Moonlight skin tone, I know he'd be gorgeous in any skintone, but I was delighted to have him in Moonlight, so beautiful! Now the only temptation I have left is the open-eyed version--but really, I need to behave myself, eep! He's just such beauty, and everything I wanted in a boy Alice, it's insanely enjoyable for me to anticipate getting him. I hope everyone ends up PW-happy at the end of this order period.

Now I can just while away my time and wonder if I might be able to order someone in Urban Brown someday--that's the resin color I have huge dolly regret over, having seen how delicious it was in-person at last year's PNW BJD con.

The Dandy Blow Head came into today! Pardon me, he has no faceup yet, but I thought I'd pop in and share him blank anyways.

@paxita and @krystina - Thanks so much guys! I'm very happy with his sculpt, I've been trying to decide what kind of faceup I want for him, I think he kind of reminds me of David Bowie for some reason.. I can't really put my finger on it though.

I noticed this thread hasn't been posted to in months, but hopefully someone sees this. I've basically quit buying dolls, but did pay off a Peakswoods doll June 1st. I haven't been able to contact them through email, so I tried their Q&A board, but haven't gotten a response. Is everything okay with this company?

Also, my old account was gone. I remade an account with my former username to post on their q&a and included the order number.

Am I just being paranoid? Or should I be worried that they've taken over 80 working days to send the doll?

 

PeaksWoods is likely still on holiday or adjusting coming back from it. As for the wait times, they have had an injury the factory manager is recovering from. My girl is over 100 business days but they told me that they’d probably ship this month or next. As for the website, they did move over to a new server, so not to worry there, in time with messaging they can transfer over any points you may have had.

 

I paid off a doll in April and because of the injury to the factory manager, they told me end of October to November. I'm actually waiting on two dolls from them. I couldn't reach them via email either and had contacted them on their Q&A board and received a response within a couple days (I think I posted it at the beginning of the weekend and they got back to me after the weekend). I wouldn't be too paranoid, they are very behind. But I would still continue to reach out to them for peace of mind.

@Ravenwolf I saw your photo of Rohan on PW website & I'm just so impressed with it! I love the purple and gold mandala background and the karmic feel it has to it as a whole. Your Shaia is very special, you don't see very many and I really like how you've styled yours.

@paxita Oh my! Kasspio looks great in emerald green! Alec is a great name for him and I like his wig alot too. The way you described the green skin color sounds very nice, I was thinking of a brighter green but mint seems less intimidating. Congratulations on these two sweethearts.

Earlier this month I got white skin Troy in 60cm body. Compared it to my Kass (lavender-pink) that I had gotten earlier this year.
Well, the new boy is couple cm longer than the old one. Nothing wrong with the body, was the answer. Some small changes were done to lower legs but no mention of this anywhere.



So, right now I actually dislike the doll I just got. Not sure do I wanna sell it yet, maybe I just wait until I get him a faceup.

 

O that is pretty noticeable difference. Troy looks a little slimmer too maybe? I kind of like the difference though, gives each doll a little individuality. I hope my Troy will be a little taller I think my NS Bella from 2014 is a bit heavier and bulkier than the tan Shaia I got in 2016.

 

Quick question for anyone who has received their doll since the new website was out. Did Peakswoods email you your tracking number and update your account with tracking information? Or just email you? Thanks!

 

@krystina They sent email & updated. To look at your orders that were more than 6 months ago you need to use the 'set new' button on the order page and look up the month you ordered.

@tattic I hope a faceup does the trick! I'm sorry he doesn't fit the character you had in mind since there is a height difference.

@paxita Awww!! They are all adorable! & it's great to see all the colors together! Especially the difference between blue-grey Tristan and moonlight-grey Troy, those colors are very subtle in their difference.

@tattic Oh wow that's quite a difference in height! I wonder if when my new boy comes he'll be taller than my Kass! (for me actually it would be better for his character if he was taller but MUCH worse for finding clothing if so XD hopefully a faceup will help you love him!

I am so excited I can start chatting here. I have been obcessing on Dandy boys for some time now. I really wanted a Dandy Bella but took the plunge and bought a white Dandy Keith the Prince on layaway from DolkUs last weekend. That particular Keith isn’t quite what I was looking for but I think with restyling I can make him perfect like a wig change.

So... I went back on Dolkus last night to stare at pictures of my Keith and there were two normal Dandy Kass Black Rabbits with Peak’s Woods face up for sale, no outfit. O. M. G. I thought it was a fluke or a mistake. Of course I bought him outright but scared there was a mistake and Dolk would cancel my order. Well it was legit and he us mine!!! He is exactly what I am looking for in a Dandy. I am beyond excited and will be stalking this thread looking at everone’s Beautiful Dandy boys until he gets here. He is in stock so hopefully I will get him quick.

 

@caddyvamp How exciting!! Kass and Keith are beautiful sculpts and you will just be stunned by their faceups. It's awesome that Kass is coming home to you so soon!

Can't wait to see your Gio @paxita! And what a coincidence ~ my Dandy Troy has been shipped too! It'll be a while before I see him though, Peakswoods is sending him directly to the faceup artist (the same one who did my Rosemii). I originally ordered my Troy with the white rabbit faceup but decided I wanted a different look for him. Can't wait to see all the new dolls in the den!

 

My Boy was shipped and has been stuck in UK customs for two weeks I'm hoping he's rushed to the local depot so I can free him and have him home for Friday! Looks like a bunch of other wonder boys will be home soon too!

Because they like to see us squirm haha! But I think they have become more strict/thorough with their checks so it takes longer for them to process. I don;t know about other UK buyrs but I'm getting hit with import tax on nearly every delivery now but it used to be only every 4th or 5th delivery.

I am excited to see everyone's boys! I've had my Nathaniel for a few years now and my heart still skips a beat looking at him.
