Peak's Wood - Dandy Boys

I heard from Peak's Woods that SD13 Long Leg boy clothes work best for these boys. Here's my boy, Cosmo, in DollHeart SD13 boy size - Cello Romantic:

He's wearing a Licht wig (size 8/9, I think), and I want to say Dollzone shoes, which are big on him.

Sonja is a Wake-Up Goldie hybrid on WS Doll Chateau Youth body (Thanks to Val Zeitler of her version on Flickr for the idea!), wearing DollHeart's Vampire Wedding outfit, which she floats in.

 

I can't stop starin at the Peakswood page ! I really like some of the clothes on the Peakswood website. I don't know if I want casual or suits for my guy. I don't even know what color hair I want my Bella to be Anyone else facing this dilemma?

 

Goth and punk would look good on him! Especially since you got him in white skin. Did you get him with a faceup or will you be doing his faceup? lol I don't think you can ruin them; they'll look good in anything! I think I'm going to have my guy wear hand-me-downs (that are too big) until I can figure out what kind of clothes to get him and what kind of character he'll be. Right now, I'm looking for wigs and eyes (I'm hoping someone will run a LeekeWorld G.O. soon)...

 

Does anyone with one of these boys have the ability to take comparison pics with another standard-size male body? (Volks or Luts for example)

I just ordered Bella the Moon, and I'm already pretty sure that body is going to be used for hybridizing. XD These guys are so gorgeous!

 

I just discovered these boys tonight- why isn't this thread full of people? They are so pretty!! ;_; And the body, oh my god! I guess everyone's more into the big muscular bodies right now? I think the Dandy body is absolutely gorgeous... I want one for hybridizing, too!

I'd love to see more owner photos of how it poses and such. Does it stand well? Can it hold up its arms? Can it stay in a slouched position? More photos would be great... preferably without clothes ahaha. :P

 

I can't believe it either! I'm hoping they start shipping our dolls out before August; I really want to participate in the photo contest

I am sold since day 1. Those pics of the Tristan boy removing the white shirt were too much to resist X__D! Frey, my Volks Williams, wants one. I swear is him, not me >_<

 

Our dolls haven't even been sent out yet and I'm already regretting not getting a Tristan
Ordered a couple of wigs from Crobidoll in June and they're finally getting sent! I got limited dia white and mint blue >< I'm thinking of getting some red eyes. I think those would look good. Anyone else get wigs or eyes? Any ideas where I can get some brightly colored clothes?

 

Goth punk sounds fitting for Tristan Your character is going to be soo stylish! I'm liking the golden eyes with the black wig and blonde bits combination.
I agree, I have also been looking into pink and purple eyes as a possibility. I think I'm going to get the eyes from Doll Bakery. I've never had a pair of their eyes but they're really pretty.

I really want a Tristan in the future, but I've decided I need a Peakswood girl first, before getting another boy lol.

Anyone else check the status of their order Looks like mine is at the "departure from outward office exchange" status. I'm hoping to get him sometime next week (later rather than sooner) I just ordered some TTYA stuff and I think it would be a few days before I receive them.

 

Yayy I got him today!! He's sooo pretty!!! And I don't have any boy clothes for him!! He is wearing a skirt right now (size SD10/SD13). He's very slim. Super cute and sparkly!! I'd requested Peakswood for his lips to be more nude rather than pinky (lips like Tristan's basic faceup) and they were able to do it. I'll post pictures later in the weekend.

Well here he is! I love his faceup; my camera can't pick it up real well, but he has sparkles! I have another wig for him (light blue) but I'm going to wait until I get his TTYA clothes before putting it on. Here are some more pictures!

Wow--I love your Bella, Kurisu! I loved him in person, but I really fell hard for Dandy Tristan, when they had him on the website--it was so hard to decide!!

I was really tempted by the PW boys, but I'm happy I waited and ordered two Dlights in stead ;P But that's just because the boys will be up for sale again later, and I'm actually pretty sure my Dlight ladies will force me to order boyfriends for them...(omg, that sounds so wrong... oO")

Ahhh I don't need more temptations, but I really love all the PW boys and may have to consider getting one of my own someday. Also, woooow those are incredibly well done company faceups, perhaps the best I've seen!

 

This thread is so quiet! I just received my TTYA order! I accidentally ordered SD13 girl shoes (I ended up ordering another pair of the converse but for SD13boys a couple of weeks ago after I noticed my error) AND I should have waited to get my first order

So, SD13 girl shoes from TTYA fit comfortably for Peakswood boys. I also ordered some sweatpants and a sweater (SD13 boys) and its a bit big for him. I think I'll order SD13 girl sizes from now on (from TTYA at least) I think the clothes will fit slimmer on them instead of being "loose."
But omai he is sooo cute! I'll post pictures this week.

I really want the white rabbit-I'm really hoping he is not a one off; his faceup is soooo pretty Hanabi_Chan and Kawachu, if you get the mad hatter, I might just have to visit London so that we can do photo-ops of our Bellas

 

I'm thinking about getting the rabbit as well. He is so beautiful. And he'll look great together with Dlight as well I think ;D

If they sell as full sets as PW talked about (a conversation on FB where they told a girl they would offer the next dolls as full sets - must be this time, right?), would you buy the whole full set or just the blank doll or how?

Hmm LE Dlight didn't have a set. I am quite hoping those boys will come with sets, I do quite like them. It's killing me that I prefer the Rabbit's outfit XD
Did you go see the pics of their display yet, Hanabi_chan? Kurisu found them and they're linked in the FOC discussion thread. There's a 4th doll in the series, Cheshire apparently but looking kind of like a dark haired Madhatter.

 

The ladies from peaks woods were nice enough to let me purchase just the Dandy Bella head from their display doll at dollism! I literally walked by the table like 20 times staring at him I couldn't handle it. I had to wait until the vendors room closed for the weekend to buy him, but it was soooo worth it



I had never seen this doll before the event, but I was literally blown away by how pretty he is in person-- all their dolls really are so impressive in person. I'll take more pictures once I get home... I'm on a train right now haha.

Was he from the normal skin Mad Hatter???

 

The Alice set that they had on display were not for sale, he was just one of the two other Bellas they had on display. They had a white skin and a normal skin. I think he may have the same face up as the mad hatters? They were similar. I'll have to check more pictures out when I get home though.

Kurisu I'm debating between the dollndoll king body and the new double jointed 60cm dollzone body. I really like the look of the dollndoll body because it's so small but I'm also concerned about resin matching. The NS from peaks woods is suuuuper pinky, which is why I like that dz offers the pink NS. I would have just bought him as an entire doll but as much as I liked the peaks woods body, it wasn't right for the character I got him for ._.

Did anyone manage to find a good picture of the White Rabbit? He seems to be the only one that didn't get any clear shots...hey all looks so beautiful, but now it's made me curious about him >,<

 

The only pic up of him (the Rabbit) yet is from Peak's Woods' Facebook page. That is also the the one used for the banner on their page. So yeah, hopefully the promo pics will be up soon >___<

He looks awesome. I love the light blue wig.

 

Thank you Kurisu! I like the body, especially the hands. The fingers are long and nimble looking and very expressive. He also has a long neck...its a bit hard to describe but the way his torso and neck are sculpted, it looks like he's always "rounding his shoulders" even when you try to stand him straight. I think looks kind of adorable I'll see if I can take some pictures of what I mean.

As far as poseability, he can stand pretty solid. I had a hard time getting to pose on his stomach (but I think its just me) there is a locking mechanism in his torso, so he can arch his back really well without any weird parts sticking out. He can touch his face really well I haven't tried anything advanced; like handstands and such. My Bella is a bit floppy, I mite have to restring him.

I'm in the process is getting a body for my bella head T___T I do like the peak's woods body it just.. wasn't the right shape for the character he's going to be? >_< it's difficult because the pw ns is veeerry pink. but not in the way the DoD resin is pink? it's definitely a darker tone...? I'm probably going to try to get him the new double jointed dz body, since they make a normal pink, that will hopefully match well enough, and the body is slender enough for me.

next to all my other ns dolls, the bella head is like suuuuppeeerrrr pink ._. I would take comparison shots but it's been soooo dark out lately, there's no sun at all.
