I just love your photo stories every time - you put so much effort into them it's something I aspire to if I were ever to get the space. Did Uriah finally get his proper body? I think you mentioned you were waiting on a body for him?

I saw the pics of Mr Perle on Flickr and was wondering, when you will introduce him into the story. I hope it is not right now though.

I am quite impressed how far back Gladys can bend her body (4th photo). Is that the ballerina body? Or an optical illusion due to the black bodice she is wearing?

That noisy thing would have been an icing on the cake ... but it was probably a good thing you did not paint his nails, seeing that Gladys seems to think a pedicure would be a necessity... not sure they would have make a good looking foreground

Looking forward to seeing Mr Perle and his cane making an entrance then! Will be quite interesting to see Gladys acting in his presence.

Yes, I looked the body up and was immediately impressed by the fact that it has that foot joint! I love unusual joints!

 

Sadly I am confined to a single bedroom in my grandmother's house, with the most horrific lighting in the world and absolutely nowhere to store props/equipment. Hence why if I take photos they're random outdoor shots because that's the only place that isn't lit like a cave (unless I'm in an actual cave...which has happened many a time albeit without dolls). Mine have been crammed into every nook and cranny they'll fit. I also have no privacy and have come home to find several dolls posed in hilariously lewd positions by my cousin who doesn't quite get the whole doll thing, but will happily listen to me ramble about painting them.

2.5 years good gods I don't know how you've managed to hold out this long. Ahhh I see, I figured you'd just not had the time to paint his tattoos yet. Every now and then your Venitu pops up and my curiosity is piqued, I want to see more! But Dollshe. I have been...putting off painting my Venitu's tattoos because I stupidly decided to give him a lot. He's glaring at me right now from the other side of my desk.

 

That's the Valentine Day photo session we all need to see. Great perspective - suggestive enough without being explicit - and you really nailed the lights.

I'm glad that February is summer for us down here. And doubly glad we don't get snow even in the coldest winters (though...it is pretty I suppose...) I do need to get my hands on a proper camera though. My old point-and-click is very out of date, and my phone is great, but struggles with focus and lighting, no matter how much I fiddle with the settings.

It's certainly annoying as I've had blushing chipped by this carelessness (I really do not want to have to paint another horse in water colours thank you ugh), I can't really store them in their boxes either because I uh...have a lot. So their boxes are all nested inside one another to save space. My grandmother initially was disapproving of the amount I spent on my dolls, but also forgot pretty quickly, which is nice. She's convinced all my dolls are female because they have long hair, and refuses to accept all my pretty boys are in fact, boys. The irony is all my female dolls have short hair.

I love exploring caves! Plus I did study geology for five years and am a qualified geologist...though I don't currently work in that field. Hm. Maybe I should take one of my pocket-sized dragons with me next time.
Yup, effort. Hence why I've been avoiding updating the tattoos on one of my other guys because the ones he has are fine right? No one will notice unless he's naked right? Aww thanks! He's definitely a favourite, despite the glare (which has only gotten worse because I booked myself in to get a tattoo I initially designed for him...oops!) They can grump and glare at us all they want.
