    2. Shoddy job? are you serious? omg, that's just horrible of her! Don't know what i would do if Athena's face up came off. >< Hope you can get your doll repainted, i recommend cherrystreet~sera, she does an excellent job. Hope you guys get your money back.

    6. Good point, at least this saves all of you the possible hassle of a bounced check and all the headaches that would bring. Here's hoping for a final resolution to this mess. *crosses fingers*

    7. Are there any updates? Athena's hands that Bev painted, gradually turned a darkish gray, i had to take it off, ah well. edited this so no one thinks I'm a complaining brat, lol. Just wanted to see if everyone had gotten their money back, that's all.

    8. Um... what are you looking for? I'm sorry, but I had figured this was a closed issue. You got your girl back, I'd say cut your losses and count yourself lucky.

      I guess that I don't understand the issue. Use some Windsor and Newton brush cleaner (from AC Moore) and remove the sealant no matter what it is and reseal it yourself.

      She's not coming back, there's no way to contact her, and it's done.

      Sorry to sound so cynical, and I'm not the happiest with my girls, but I just deal with it.

    9. oh i know, just a little peeved, but have to live with it. ^^ I wasn't trying to sound like a brat or a whiner, really, i'm happy that she's back. ^^ I was just wondering if everyone had gotten their refunds, since the thread was still open and i thought that everyone didn't get their money back yet since it was.

    10. Sorry to hear about your girl's hands, PrincessAI436. That's really disappointing, but not surprising in the least.

      Since vanillashine hasn't logged onto her DoA account since 12-11-06, has deleted her LJ, LJ community, and eBay ID, I highly doubt we'll be hearing from her with that identity anytime soon.

      This was a $75 lesson for me. That's how I'm going to take it. I'm no longer waiting for my refund. I got my (blank) doll head back and that's what matters.

      Despite the stress I went though, I can't help but mourn a little bit the waste of marvellous talent. Vanillashine had painted my School A boy during better times, and I still marvel at her work.

      Thank you to everybody who's shown support through all our ordeals. A special thank you goes out to Andi, who really went above and beyond.

    11. Yeah, she's completely disappeared. I'm never going to see my $78 again. *sighs* I'm relieved I actually got my doll back.

      Andi was wonderful. It's thanks to her that I got my hewitt back.
