Paging Vanillashine

Dec 10, 2006

    1. Thank you to everybody that's come forward with their story.

And to add to the head count:

      1 - Volks MSD Maria

Bev received on November 17. She claimed to be finished with the commission on November 19.

I filed a PayPal dispute with her on December 17. Bev has until January 5 to return my property or get in touch with me until I escalate the dispute into a claim.

    2. Hi guys, here's the delivery confirmation number i got for the package, should be there tomorrow or Saturday, proof that i did send her letters, and proof it was delivered to her address.
      0306 1070 0000 9484 5867
Remember, if we still have no contact by next Friday or Saturday, I will send another slew of letters, this time with signature confirmation. Let's hope Vicki will be our hero and go to her home and confront her about everything.

    3. Correct me if I'm wrong (gently, please?), but don't you have 45 days to file a claim with paypal? So, wouldn't anyone that paid in Nov still have time to file? Or am I misremembering? Of course, this doesn't get the heads and dolls back, but if enough people file with paypal, it might get her attention.

    4. Heads: Soony-S and MNF Shiwoo
      Paid: November 15, 2006
Mailed November 10, Received November 15

I'd forgotten that it was 45 days, thought it was 30 . . . I'm filing a claim as well, since that may be the only way I'm going to get a response at this rate.

      -- A

    5. 8 heads so far? With 5 slots? O.o

      Sigh.
      Opening PayPal...

    6. I got driving directions from maps.com and it says 1 hour 11 minutes. It would require a lot of interstate highway driving and they really drive like nuts up there (no offense to Catrina). I was hoping I could get my hubby to volunteer but he is swamped with things to do. And not knowing if she will be home, doesn't help. If we could have contacted her, I wouldn't have minded driving up and getting my doll and whatever heads she had done. But not knowing if she will be home, could make it a major waste of time and gasoline. And I really don't have any time to spare at the moment as I still have Christmas shopping to do.

I am filing a claim with Ebay tomorrow and leaving her negative feedback also. It'll be her first negative but she has brought this on herself by not responding. If I hear from her tonight and can arrange to pick up my doll, then I would hold off. But I really don't have any hope that I will hear from her this evening. She doesn't seem to care. She has my money & my doll, so it doesn't bother her.

    7. well, hopefully she'll contact us, or someone who lives nearby can go for us? please? ^^ I just opened a dispute with paypal, do i up it to a claim? I've never had to do anything like this before. It's sad it had to come to this. :(

    8. If anyone should try to go to Bev's street address, might I suggest not going alone? No one has heard from Bev since Dec 14, so there's just no way of knowing what sort of situation one might walk into. It's probably fine, but better to be safe than sorry. Just my humble suggestion. :)

    9. I have opened a dispute with Paypal on Beverly. If she doesn't respond very soon, I will escalate it into a claim. I also left her negative feedback at Ebay stating I never received my item and she won't respond to my email. At least any future Ebay bidder will now have a little warning about her. I wish I had seen this thread before I saw her auction, I definitely would not have bid on it.

    10. I second this suggestion, definitely.

    11. I thought it was 30, but yeah I checked paypal and it says 45 days so there is still time to file a dispute for anyone who sent a doll in November. Didn't realize I sent payment on the 23rd, that actually gives me more time then I thought. I've never filed a dispute with anyone before...but it seems there might not be a choice here. *sighs* I'll give it a few more days though...

      Here's my info:

      Heads: MSD Hewitt
Mailed Nov 17th, received Nov 20th
      Payment on Nov 23rd

    12. I filed a dispute last night. The package arrived in cleveland today, should be delivered tomorrow maybe today.

    13. I sent her my Hewitt head to be repainted in the beginning of November. She sent me a pic of the finished head on November 13. She then claimed to have sent him, but never sent me a tracking number, after which she went to visit her family for Thanksgiving. He never arrived, and when she eventually got back she claimed he had been returned to her due to a torn EMS slip.

She then claimed to send him again on December 1 (I paid for EMS shipping a second time), but the tracking number she sent me this time is not recognised by either the USPS or the Belgian online tracking system. I find this to be somewhat suspicious, as he should have been scanned in the first time as soon as she handed him over in the post office. If he really is lost, therefore, the number should at least be recognised by the online system.

I have heard from her three times since then, despite numerous emails. She has confirmed that the number she sent is in fact the right one, but has not replied to any of my emails requesting the phone number or address of the post office she used (I asked for these so that I could start an investigation into the missing package myself).

Due to these factors (that the tracking number is not recognised at all and that she is refusing to lend any assistance whatever in helping me trace it - I know she must have got my emails because I sent them from two different email accounts, as well as DoA PMs, and she has obviously been in touch with others during this time), I believe at this point that my head was never sent at all.

I paid on November 12 and I have opened a PayPal dispute today.

      Edit: Forgot to add my info. ^^;;

      Heads: MSD Hewitt
Mailed: Unknown (early November), but pictures of finished head received November 13
      Payment: November 12

    14. Here is proof that she did receive the package with letters from her customers. I gave her my cell and home phone, and told her to call me anytime, and to send my girl out overnight asap, i would pay the extra. Let's hope she responds soon, i mean, it's Christmas for goodness sake, how can she have people's precious dolls and not feel bad their not home with their owners for the holidays? ><

Your item was delivered at 8:38 AM on December 23, 2006 in CLEVELAND, OH 44111.

    15. Mods, could you make this a sticky please? ^^ If not, then that's ok.

      Edit: Thanks so much! :)

    16. I just escalated my dispute into a claim at Paypal. This is what it says at the top of my Claim Details page:

A claim has been filed against this transaction. The seller's deadline for responding to this claim is Jan. 5, 2007. If the seller does not respond by the deadline, the claim will be decided in your favor. You may cancel this case at any time by clicking "Cancel" below.
      ------------------------------------------

Still it is a bit confusing as the email I received from Paypal following escalating into a claim said:

We will make every effort to resolve this claim within 30 days although we
may require additional time to complete our investigation.
      ---------------------------------------------

At least I am a bit hopeful I will get my money back if she isn't going to send my Supia Yan which I bought & paid for on 12/05.

    17. hmm, i don't know about the two different dates, i'm guessing jan. 5 is the most accurate. I would make it into a claim also, but 94 dollars can't buy me another head, hands, and feet, sigh. :( Does anyone live near cleveland willing to go there for us? please?

    18. I'll escalate mine tomorrow if I don't hear anything. I just can't believe that I'm having to do this. :(

    19. I bought a doll from Bev as well and have not yet received it. I purchased a Supia Yan on ebay from vanillaserious on Dec.4th. I have also put a claim in with paypal. Paypal will tap her account but If her account is empty I may be out $360...
This is a horrible rotten person who does this right before Christmas.

    20. Amye,

No, no. The auction you won of Beverly's was also covered by Paypal Buyer Protection, so you should get your money back from Paypal when they decide in your favor. I just checked your auction to make sure. If you go look at the auction where it says Meet the seller, you will see a section that says Buy safely. In there you will see it states "This item is covered up to $1,000."

    21. sigh, it is horrid for her to do this, isn't it? Even if i file a claim and get my 94 dollars back, i can't get another head, hands, or feet with that, heck, i would GIVE her 50 bucks to send my girl out, that's how desperate i am. :(

    22. is it possible for you to make a legal claim to get the money for the doll parts back?

    23. I know we're only supposed to post here if we're currently involved in a transaction with Bev, I just was just curious on one point. I wondered if perhaps I was just seeing a connection where there wasn't one.

Is it odd she had a Supia Yan sent to her by a customer and then had one for sale on ebay, or did she perhaps already have one of her own I'm not aware of? Just wondering if it is perhaps my overactive imagination or not.

    24. Good point, sleep_pattern, though I don't know what dolls she had myself.

I've escalated to a claim now. This does not make me very happy.

    25. Here is a total of what Bev has that I compiled from reading this thread:

nikitten ----------Volks MSD Maria (dispute filed)
PrincessAi436 --DOC Twingkey head, hands & feet (dispute filed)
eveshka ---------Dollfie Dream OP-01 AND Obitsu Gretel (claim filed)
Ashbet ----------Soony S AND MNF Shiwoo (filing claim)
      cachick ---------Supia60 AND Volks Liz
Zalem -----------Hewitt MSD head (dispute filed)
Annika ----------Hewitt MSD head (dispute filed)
glorasdream ---Supia Yan from Ebay auction (claim filed)
vicki_j ----------Supia Yan from Ebay auction (claim filed)

So that is 10 heads (one with hands & feet also), plus 2 complete dolls bought from Ebay auctions Bev had listed.

    26. i don't know, i honestly don't know what to do at this point.

    27. She sent me these on the 1st. After that, nothing.

It's starting to hurt to look at the photos, you know? :(

The last words she said were:
(Side note, her photobucket account shows activity, at least the ebay sales photos are gone.)

    28. I've talked to dollyholic, and here is what she said: "I want to let you know, Bev did not get any Supia Yan dolls here at my store. When she worked here, she said she didn't own any dolls." How recent is her photobucket activity?

    29. I can't tell how recent her activity is, but I could have sworn when this thread started the photos for the auctions were there.

    30. Does anyone have bev's address in Virginia? Catrina thinks she's over there visiting her mom.

    31. ok, so i think we should all ban together and try to get the police involved in some way.

    32. Let me know what to do and I will do it. I am pretty upset!

    33. I filed a dispute. I'll give it two weeks before I file the claim.

    34. Hi,-

I just want to state that Bev did not get a Yan from me. I gave her a Supia60
I really think the post should be removed b/c it is a false statement and leads to other problems like slander.
She has my Volks Liz and Supia60.

I also want to state that I of course watch things like ebay for resale but I would never think that of Bev.

I was also wondering what everyone involved thought of maybe asking Catrina and of course paying her to get the dolls for us? I know this is a big thing to ask but I really don't know what else to suggest.

    35. i asked catrina already, but she can't. :( My cousin doesn't live far from cleveland, i'm going to try to call her tomorrow and ask her.

    36. Just a quick note to let people know.

This was the post I'd read. Some how my brain took bought and paid for as it was an item vicki_j had sent to her to be painted. So I do apologize for the misunderstanding. I probably should have quoted the two posts I'd read in my previous post and someone could have pointed out I was being a dummy sooner.

My apologies everyone. I promise no more silly posts here from me. I do hope everyone's heads are returned to them soon and that things get all sorted out.

      Abs

    37. Hey,
Don't worry about it and I prob sounded rude- I am sorry. I think everyone just wants their stuff back.

I also want to state that I don't know how a person gets a new job but then leaves town for more than a few days? I do think she is in OH

    38. Well, maybe she already quit? Seems like she has no sense of responsibility. I don't know, i'm still sending a letter to her again on monday this time with signature confirmation, and i'm calling my cousin tomorrow and asking her if she can do anything, if not, then i think we should start to call the local police.

    39. Just a reminder to please only post in this thread if you are directly involved or have new, relevant information.

      Thank you! :)

    40. The Cleveland address is an unlisted telephone number, I've spent the better part of the morning attempting to find it with reverse systems. Unless I pay fees to Intelius, I'm not likely to get a live phone line for that house... if it even has one.

    41. I tried doing that too eveshka, and sorry annika, i just can't let people defend someone that doesn't have no sense of responsibility! ><

Anyway, i tried calling my cousin, and i couldn't get an answer, just the answering machine, i'll keep trying though! The place she used to live is only 4 hours from me, but i only have a po box for her overthere. ><

    42. Yesterday, I called Bev's mother's house again, and spoke with her stepfather. Evidently, she did come home for Christmas (in VA) and has now gone back to OH. I did emphasize that it was very urgent that she return my call (and I mentioned that her cell phone had been cut off for a month), and he said that he'd pass the message on if he spoke with her. Her parents don't have a way to reach her either, since her cell phone is disconnected.

Catrina (Dollyholic/Dollfair) has very generously offered that she is willing to mail off the heads to their owners if Bev or her roommate will drop them off, labeled with their owners' information, at the Dollfair shop in Cleveland.

Bev, if you're reading this, it's an amnesty offer -- you wouldn't have to have contact with your customers, or even with anyone else if you choose to have your roommate make the delivery . . . please return the heads, or else the Cleveland police will be receiving a report of property theft in an amount over $1000, which I'm sure they'll take very seriously.

Thank you, Catrina, for making this offer -- I really hope that Bev ships off the heads (with accurate tracking information, no more "lost in the mail"), or takes the amnesty being proffered and drops them off at the shop.

      -- Andi

    43. Bless Catrina for making the offer!
That is quite literally above and beyond the call of duty here, and it's greatly appreciated.

Catrina: If Bev or her roommate do drop off the heads, I am more than willing to pay for your time and shipping, just shoot me a PM.

Bev: Under advice of my legal team, there is now a file pending with IC3.gov. A formal letter requesting the return of my (and everyone else's) property will be in the mail shortly.

Andi: Please let me know what information you need from me to add to the Cleveland Police report, if that's possible?

    44. wow, even her parents can't call her? doesn't she have a home phone? I love catrina! i would be more than happy to give you money for shipping, and your time! I think everyone would! Andi, anything i can do also, name it! ^^ I just want my girl back, just like everyone else does really, were all just tired, and want our dolls back. ><

    45. As far as I know, she just has a cell phone --she lives with roommates and one of them may have a landline, but I don't know the number (or their full names.)

If everyone could please send me ([email protected]) a note with the following information, we can collect it for a potential police report (although I hope it doesn't come to that):

      DoA name
      Full legal name and address
      Date you sent your head/s
Head type/s (I know they're listed above, but this will help me keep track in one place)
Price you paid for the head/replacement price for the head
Amount you paid to Bev for face-up/shipping

That will help greatly, since the amounts of property and money will be listed, and I'll have a list of complainants to give to the police, should it wind up being necessary.

      Please e-mail me rather than PM'ing, because I can search/sort with e-mail.

      Thanks much,

      -- Andi <3

    46. Done.

      Check yer email.

    47. Done, thank you, Andi!

    48. done too^^ thanks! :)

    49. I've now just catched up on this thread.

Thank you Andi for being so proactive. I have just sent you an email.

      Thank you so much.

    50. Has anyone heard from her?
I emailed her last week and today again but no response

    51. My last communication from Bev was on December 1, 2006 when she told me and others that she changed her email.

    52. no response either since the 12th of december when she promised to mail out athena.

    53. My last communication with her was December 15, where she basically completely avoided answering any of my questions or concerns.

    54. I've not heard anything since the 1st when she sent me photos.

    55. I'm going to call her parents' house again today and attempt to get through directly to her mother (I've only spoken with her stepdad thus far both times I called) . . . if we don't get a response this week, I'm going to escalate it to a police report with the collected information.

      Thanks,

      -- Andi :(

    56. Update -- I called and spoke to Bev's stepdad, and went into some detail about the situation. I asked that Bev's mom call me tonight -- she may have some other way to get through to her.

I explained that if Bev doesn't contact her customers or drop the dolls off with Catrina, she is going to have police knocking on her door . . . and that we're trying to prevent that if at all possible.

Will report back if I get a call tonight.

      Thanks,

      -- A <3

    57. I certainly hope this works. :(

    58. OK, guys -- I heard from Bev, and here's the shipping info (redacted so that I'm not posting your last names on here):

Bev asked me to pass on her apologies . . . this has been a very rough time, and she's not up to talking to people at the moment, but she wanted me to say that she was very sorry for all the stress that she's caused.

Fingers crossed that all the heads arrive home to their owners soon -- please post here to let me know as they do.

      Thanks much,

      -- Andi <3

    59. OH THANK GOD! i LOVE YOU ashbet! I really hope Athena comes home very soon! ^^ Again, thanks, without you, i think we still would have been in the dark!

    60. Yay Ashbet!! Thank you, doll!!
