Wait Times Others having problems with Doll Chateau?

I ordered a resin accessory and an outfit from DC directly on Dec 14 last year. Till now they aren’t finished yet. When I asked them they just gave me a general idea that it would take around 3-4 months (and it’s nearly 5 months now).

When you contact through agents some of them will be very slow if they only contact the companies through emails, especially Chinese companies because they process through different systems like wechat, taobao, weibo. I talked to DC directly on taobao in English, but I guess they use translation. Since you placed your order through BJDivas you can only wait for them, unless you can find a way to talk to DC directly.

 

IF I can give you an advice: forget about DC faceups (not sure what you chose).

They are very different from promo pictures. Like, VERY (Promo pictures' FUs are done by an artist while all the other FUs are done by people that work for DC, or this is what somebody explained to me). I had to ask for a refund because the faceup they sent me lacked parts (freckles were almost invisible, lines under the nose and eyes were absent, eyebrows were different and other things I can't remember).

And this was several years ago (if I find pictures I can show you), I cannot image how their faceups will look NOW with all those orders and the pandemic going on.

So I agree with the others, just take the refund at this point, same for the wig.
Just...don't expect for that refund to come quickly.

The thing is, DC is overall bad with communication, but they give Divas an extra hard time and treat them pretty badly (from what I have gathered over the time).
There was one person on the BJD Discord that waited 27 months (!) to receive a refund from DC for a pair of hands they had forgotten to send to Divas.

 

@Ara Appreciate you sharing.... that definitely hits home in a different way than it does when only verbally describing that a faceup may not match a promo photo.

 

That's so odd, I must have gotten lucky. I picked up a surprised faceup Julieanne from BJDivas in stock a little while back. Lighting is washing out my photo really bad today, but it's super overcast out. The eyes she came with were way bigger than I wanted, so I swapped them with a smaller iris pair I had on hand, but mostly it's just a couple small differences like the red going a lot farther down the horns, the white under the eye is a bit less prominent.
Shame to hear DC treats BJDivas badly, didn't they just have a mystery set of hands arrive recently too?
