Volks has pretty much put something out that I want at almost every Dolpa.
They really need to knock that off. Put out something I hate for once! D:

I swear, if they end up doing Kuroshitsuji dolls... I'm as good as dead.
An SD17 Sebastian and an SD Ciel... DOOOOM.

 

I'm in for Kuroshitsuji dolls, especially for Ciel

Btw, I've applied for the lottery for Ryu. It's written in Volks website that he'll be available in a very limited number. Why so few!? Anyway, I wish everyone luck.

 

I can't seem to find a way to enter for Ryu. What link did you use? I'm logged in, and when I click on Lottery Application, it keeps taking me back to the main page.

I want to enter for Ryu as well, but I still haven't gotten my confirmation email from a few days ago. X.x I tried to resend the password, and am still not receiving emails. Hopefully Volks will reply to me before the lottery is up...

Edit: Nevermind - I figured it out! In case anyone else is having the problem, go to the bottom of the Event page (don't click on Ryu or whatever doll you want) and there are order sheets A and B you can click on.

You know, the web user account. The one you log into for the Volks international site. I signed up, and then they are supposed to email the password. Nothing has come yet, so I had to email them directly.

 

Do you have another email address you can try with? My password came seconds later - so it seemed automated. If it's not in your spam - maybe try registering with a different email account instead?

 

That's a good idea. Worth a shot! I'll try it.

 

Okies, I was able to put in an application for Ryu through a separate email. I have no idea why the yahoo email didn't work though...

Either way, for you lucky ducks who already have your Ryus confirmed from the last lottery, cross your fingers for the rest of us now! This will be my second doll if I'm able to get him.

Thanks for the owner pics Ria_ria! Ryu is really, really cute. I think I shall manage to resist the temptation to enter for him though . . . and I'll certainly cross my fingers for everyone who is! I can't wait to see more of that mischevious looking boy around.

Ryu!!!! I have wanted an SDCute for so long. I won't be able to afford Arashi, so I will have his brother. Hopefully!! Who did you put in for? Good luck to you in any case!

 

I also put in for Ryu. I wish they'd say just HOW many is "very limited". Here's hoping we both get him! He'd be my very first BJD. Arashi was so adorable - definitely one of my favorites when I looked around aimee's site. Ryu is just as cute, I think!

 

Good luck sakusha! Ryu will be my first doll if I win him as well. (I tried really hard for SDC Renee a few Dolpa's back but that effort failed miserably.)

I haven't heard anything about Ryu, so I'm guessing I didn't win. But does it work anything like the USA lottery where you can see if your order was 'canceled' or anything like that? I looked in my shopping cart for the Volks site, and it's empty, so I have no other way of knowing if it was canceled for true.

 

No. You get a message that you can buy the doll. You choose it, pay it and then they will send information that it will be shipped. It won't show in the shopping cart usually.

I couldn't order anything with him. Used probably three hours to figure out is it possible to get him sanded and coated. ><; No information of that anywhere. Oh well. I'll have him.

 

^^; I'm gonna kick my own butt...I didn't tell my mom (or anyone for that matter) that I won Ryu via US lottery ....and she went and entered the lottery for the international site as she knew I wanted him badly from when I was at her house and pics first went up of him -.- and she entered and won and paid for him already...so now I'm gonna have 2 Ryu's...or I wait until the one for the US lottery comes and either trade him for another Volks doll ()) or sell him when he arrives ^^;
as I can't sell or trade the one my mom just won me...and the one my mom just got me will arrive before the US lottery one...I just can't believe this...why couldn't this have happened with Renee as I would have been ecstatic with 2 Renee's ^^; ...but with Ryu...I kinda feel guilty...

but I guess it's better to be overly lucky ^^;

I wouldn't worry too much, just think of it as you're able to help someone who wasn't as lucky as you to get a doll they really want!

I'll put up a Feeler WTT for him...or as soon as he arrives I can put him up for sale...(as DoA Rules state I cant' put up a presale for a doll I don't have in my possession ...but does not rule against feeler trades) and don't' worry...I'm not a Scalper and will not try and Profit from a super limited Doll like most will try and do... (and can prove both dolls purchase with no problem)

but this may be an opportunity for me to try and trade for an SD10 that I missed out on or could not get...(and I'm only looking to trade limited SD10 Bald Nakie and Eyeless (most of the SD10 limited fullsets...if not all only cost $858 and if I only want it bald Nakie, shoeless, and eyeless it should only be valued at around $665-700 ish) which is not much off from what I paid in the Volks US lottery for Ryu after shipping...so I don't' thinks it's a bad trade idea ^_^ and if people are that upset about the trade option I may offer a little bit of money on top of the trade...)

I have a quick question that maybe someone here knows the answer to. I have been eying some things on the Sumika list (a wig, and maybe an outfit), but am wondering about how much shipping will cost. Because I don't want to have to pay $30 shipping on an approx. $35 wig (and I don't want to stay up and deal with the frustration of fighting others online just to find out that the shipping is astronomical - I'd rather find out beforehand lol).

I would go to the website, put a wig and maybe outfit in your cart, and start the checkout process. Then you can get the shipping price. Hope this helps!

I'm hoping that this is just some weird sign that some epic doll in the future will catch both of us so that we'll both have amazing first doll stories to look back upon. Hopefully we'll have better luck next time.

 

I'm very happy, I got SDC Ryu from the Volks jp site which
I lost it in the US lottery. When I received my mail last night,
I paid it immediately.

 

I didn't get a mail so I guess I haven't won my Ryu... ::Sighs:: ah well.

The web site says the sales will be started from 7:00 pm (in Japan). The items you are seeing as "sold" were for customers in Japan. No problem.

Yes, Volks always does it. You'll be able to see all items later. (A lot of items will be sold out in a few seconds though.) It's 1:15 pm here in Japan. Good luck
