    2. Do you know about how long until we see pictures of the dolls? Will the dolls end up for lottery at Volks USA? I am so hoping for a new MSD girl. My credit card is just about paid off. I'm ready to add a new doll to it....

    6. That seems to be the theme; I know TereyaChan (& me, too) is kinda hoping for a Lady Murasaki, what with this being the 1000-yr anniversary of the Tale of Genji :) There's been hinting of a Hijikata to go along with Okita Souji, but hey, it's all speculation...

      but I'll go to Osaka in september, so I'd like to know if there are more than one in Osaka during one year? could someone explain please ^^ newbie alert I know xd

    10. I believe that there is only one Osaka Dolpa a year, one or two at Sato, two in Tokyo and I think sometimes in other places too, like Nagoya. Dolpa stands for "Dolls Party", but is more of a one-day exhibition and sale than a party. Volks offers several limited edition dolls and clothing at them and there are hundreds of independent BJD clothing sellers too. Plus, there are classes and contests. They are a lot of fun, but kind of overwhelming.

    11. I'm doubting there's going to be another Banquet series doll releaed this time around. If there is, cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was related to a different series like the Maiden's Promise set.

    12. This is kind of a reach, but the detailing on the logo seems sorta whimsical to me... maybe another "'Journey to Endless Nights?" It's a reach. We really won't know any information for probably another week or so when the program pics are published....

      I really hope they won't release another Himitsu character that'll go great with Maki...such as Ikko Aoki.
      Because there's a shadowy doll standing behind Maki (I'm 100% sure it's Aoki's silhouette) on the official photos. :(

    24. Aoki would have to be an SD17, considering how much taller than Maki he is in the series. And he'd have to be a megane SD17 at that! That might not bode well, hehe.

    30. Or, you know, actual girl pirate. I know Volks has moved on (and I bring this up all the time), but I would LOVE to see a Lady Sylvie re-release. I love how Volks has developed in relation to how they now do makeup. Considering the first girls to the new standards, the first Shiro to the re-release... the process has become so detailed! I love to see Volks "modernize" (for lack of better word) Lady Sylvie...

      and make her tan. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if she is sailin' with Cecile all this time and he has gotten dark, she has too! Let's see it! Tan girls rock! ;)

      Realistically, I guess they will release Elizabeth some day before we ever see a Sylvie release. I don't think anyone on the planet loves that sculpt as much as I do...

    53. I MIGHT be able to make this one. I'll give myself a 10% chance. :lol:

      I'll be settling in at my new place on July 30th, so it would all depend on whether I could escape that Saturday. I'd have to just bring Gael, as all the other Volks dolls are already in pieces for transport and will remain so probably until mid-August (except for Asalahan, but she'll be joining them shortly.)

      PurgatoriX, are you going? If I can go, maybe I can stop by your place on the way back (or something) and pick up some of the stuff you are graciously holding for me. :D

    57. Looks like this is going to be a JET Alumni party as well (though I was on the CLAIR side of things rather than in the class-room when most of the time). Its good to see the program still going strong and bringing quality geekazoids to J-land. ;)
