After this modelling session, Justinian wasted no time getting out of the house to explore. (He really is shaping up to be my outdoors doll.) A collection of two photoshoots done on two different days. . On the bridge, shot around sunset. . A commuter train passes by. . Sunset, time to go home. (...cont'd...)
(...cont'd...) Another photoshoot on a different day. This shared walking/bicycle track used to be a horse trail in the early colonial days. This was an eventful shoot -- got dinged at by a passing cyclist, eyed by passing joggers (pretty sure one of them snapped a photo of me snapping photos of my doll), narrowly saved Justinian from a fall on the bitumen, and ended up getting hives on my legs from crawling around the leaf litter and the dirt. (Thankfully the hives subsided after a shower!) All worth it for these photos. Thanks for looking.
Thanks both! I guess it does look autumnish! But I live in Australia, so winter has just passed and it's currently spring here, moving towards summer. The leaf litter (mostly from native eucalypts) is the remnant of the winter season (no snow in these parts). And spring, well... it gets a bit greener but not by much. Eucalypts have dull green leaves. Australia is a sunburnt country, even the native foliage is earth-toned.
It's true that I saw your photos through the prism of the end of summer in Europe, the trees that are beginning to be bare. Autumn always brings a bit of nostalgia, it's a wonderful season. When I think of Australia, I always have images of red land (the bush). I hope Justinian will continue to walk through beautiful landscapes. His trench is superb.
