Hybrids Old Iplehouse Head on different body hybrid.

    1. Hello everyone. I'm looking for someone who is using an old model head from Iplehouse, specifically a boy, such as a Soori, Louis, Lion, Mars etc and has used a different company's body. I have a gentle soori head and need a body where the head will fit nicely. Does anyone have any examples? Old school Iplehouse owners represent!

      Ephemeral_Dream, I wish I could help you, but I don't have anything recent. The hybrid I made was 5 years ago. It was an oYID Baron head with a 63cm POPO body in normal. See link below:

Haha, I have an oYID hybrid myself (Louis head used, specifically; I have a Soori too, but he isn’t a hybrid and the only other guy I have in this size range is a nYID Justin), but I got it on a girl body, so I don’t know how helpful that’d be for you. :lol: Mine is on a Spiritdoll Proud girl (version 2, but I think version 1 would be fine too) body. The color match is atrocious, but I just had my faceup artist blush her to match up with her body more. :abambi: I’m at that stage in collecting where I’m not too bothered by non-perfect matches. :XD: Oh also, in the case of my girl, her head sat a bit low on the neck, so I just globbed on a thick layer of hot glue to her neck socket to get it boosted up. Works very well and had the added benefit of making her head moar poseable. :dance

      Honestly though, if you’re up for paying a little extra for color matching services, it really opens up hybrid options; all you really need to search for without worrying about that is making sure the neck circumference will work with the head.

    6. My whiteskin Louis is on Luts Delf ws and my Silvia is on male Lati Red body. The matches are good, but they are both very old (from 2006) and as far as I am aware Iplehouse changed their resin colours a couple of times before they stopped selling that line, add to that the uncertainty of colour change over time and , i'm not sure how much this information helps you so far as finding a match. But proportion is good.

    7. @evie the kid Is he on the muscle body thats about 67cm?

      @Sillypeach The Luts Delf body they have now currently looks too adolescent for the GSoori I have in mind. I was thinking of using of a senior delf body but it's got a neck girth of 9.5cm.

      Looks really promising other than the fact you had to cut a notch in order for it to look up.
      The original body for the Iplehouse models had a 10.5 circumference according to the DOA wiki. I was thinking of using a Migidoll body of today since it has the same measurement. I wish I could physically check these bodies out! Hahaha

    8. Haha, sorry I need a boy body for my GSoori, but holy cow, it's great to see another Louis owner and in a totally different light. She's so cute! I'm not really too worried about color match since he's going to be in a full outfit (at least thats what I have in mind...)

    10. I own a Ryushin and a Migidoll Ell on the Guy II body (which I personally like quite a bit). I popped Ryu on the Guy II body for a few pics in case this helps:

      The heads are very similar in size and in my opinion the hybrid does work, but the neck might visually seem a bit thick from some angles, depending on your preference.

      Oh, and as for your comment about it being hard getting help in the Discussion Thread - I don't think any of us got the impression you were asking for additional suggestions over there, just for future reference. :sweat

      Thank you so much for the pictures! I seriously am so grateful for this and this takes away so much of the uncertainty! I think the thickness is fine because my GSoori is supposed to be physically fit, plus I'm going to get the Sadol Sherlock Holmes set so I think it's going to cover away a lot of the wonkiness. Was the range of motion decent?

      My original comment was a direct question in the Iplehouse discussion but I suppose I could have been more broad in the subject than just referring to nYID. No one else added to it and I didn't really want to drill it on anyone as it seems the thread was more about the newer models. Sorry about that!

    12. @Ephemeral_Dream - Range of motion was pretty good. I'm not sure you can tip the head back (look up) quite as far as you can on the oYID body, but otherwise it seemed very similar.
