OasisDoll Discussion Thread Part 2

I don't know of it will work for you , but months ago I had a mirodoll's body on NS, the resin's color was very similar to oasisdoll. I had another one from DIM that made match with that body.
Time ago Elfdoll used to match with Oasisdoll, I read in Mirodoll's tag that now the people combine them with Mirodoll so I gave it a try and this was the result. As you notice the resin's color looks like the Oasis one.

Mizya, your Linglan is so pretty! I think I may have to have her in the future. My body arrived, but my Natalie head is off for a face-up. Once she's here, I'll be sure to spam you guys! I got so lucky when I found her secondhand last year. She rarely comes up for sale.

 

Is it too early to be looking forward to the Christmas events at Oasisdoll? I am forever torn between Yaoyue and Linglan, and am seriously considering buying the pair of them if there are some good deals this year.

**Edited to add: Is anyone going to order anything from Oasisdoll during their last ordering period? It looks like they've brought the Christmas sales forward for the discontinuation of the It girls.

 

Hello Oasisdoll fans! I am finally getting one of these lovely dolls, so I thought I'd introduce myself here and ask a few questions. By some miracle I was able to buy an Alejandro head, one of my grail sculpts, and I was wondering if anyone knew of good hybrid bodies for him? Fit and proportion are more important to me than resin matching, but any help would be appreciated. I never thought I'd manage to get this sculpt, so I haven't done any research on good hybrids

Guys, I really need help.

I wanted to order a doll from Oasisdoll in the event, which will end soon. I wrote Twiggy (killbill on DoA) a few times in recent weeks. Have tried with different boxes, but never received a response. I tried to contact her through DoA, also no answer. Event ends in two days and I am very worried that I will miss it. Worst of all, after that sales will be temporarily closed.

Maybe someone ordered dolls from Oasisdoll recently and especially in this event? Through the mail or DOA? Did you receive a confirmation?

I am asking for any help or advice.

 

Hi there! I ordered from them in April and had no trouble. Try her email; I got a quick response there but she didn't notice her PM until a few weeks later.

 

They added a new admin to the facebook group. You might contact her or ask there. Perhaps killbill is ill.

 

Congratulations! After all this time my Alejandro is still unpainted but I have tried him on a lot of bodies. Serena designed him to fit on a Volks SD17 body (so both Oasis NS and WS are excellent matches for Volks, btw @darknessangel-san , I originally purchased Alejandro in both colors) and he definitely need the height. He's got a big face and a high forehead/headcap so the shorter bodies I have tried make him look very bobble headed. I am a stickler for proportion too, though I tend to err on the side of long-necked and rangy if I can't get it perfect. I am still planning to buy mine a Switch Humming65 boy body someday; the resin match should be close enough once he has a face-up and the proportions are the same as SD17. As long as you stay in the 65-70cm range, he'll probably look fine.

 

I sent Twiggy an email yesterday and had a reply this morning. Try [email protected].

I wanted to order a Yaoyue head but she's already sold out. I got a little weepy.

 

When I ordered I emailed Twiggy using the address that Scissorhand mentioned above. She got back to me fast.
I was originally going to get a Yaoyue head, but she wasn't metioned as one of the opened eyed dolls you could purchase. There was only Linglan and Naomi.

Thank you! This was super helpful, especially since I had no idea about the Volks resin match! I also love those long-necked and tall boy bodies (especially something with a bit of muscle definition), but for this guy I'm looking for something lithe and slender. I also want to keep him on the shorter side, but 63-65cm should work fine. Now the hunt begins, lol! Once again, thank you for the hybrid information, and I hope to one day see your Alejandro

 

@zomjirate No problem! If you want to see the head on any bodies I have, just convo me. I can swap heads into anything idrisfynn owns as well. We list everything we've got in our profiles.

 

@zomjirate Congratulations! I love my Alejandro head so much. I've ad him since he was released. Still a floating head at the moment but he will have a body eventually. I'm always looking to see painted examples of these guys, since there aren't that many around.

I swapped my Alejandro head onto a few different boy bodies, which confirmed my desire to get him a Switch 65cm body...someday. It was really mortifying to see that little "September 2011" etched into his head while I was playing around! I knew I was pretty bad about leaving half-finished dolls languishing, but that might be a new record. D:

 

The Switch body is a nice choice. And don't feel too bad, I tend to buy another doll before I finish one. I eneded up buying a coulpe of heads recently and now I 'll have to get them bodies and clothes this coming year.

Speaking of heads, I was just wondering if anyone ordered from the last event, and if they heard anything? I ordered the 23rd of October and haven't gotten a shipping notice. Thanks

My Linglan head came today. My tracking never worked and I was going to email Twiggy Monday, but then she arrived. Thanks, Twiggy. She's adorable

 

So now that the new year has rolled around I'm ready to get a body. I was planning on getting a Loongsoul 58cm body (the newer one), but I wasn't sure on the resin match. I thought I read somewhere that they match, but I wasn't sure on the year. Does anyone know if these two would work?

@Botflybaby: They're still in production. You can follow Oasisdoll on Facebook as the rep is active there. Sarina the sculptor is also on Instagram. She mostly focuses on porcelain now but the existing resin models can still be ordered.

 

thanks for letting me know! it was a bit confusing on the website as the last update on it mentions discontinuing the molds after the sale in november and that it'd be the last time to get them, so i assumed they weren't going to make them anymore. i find myself interested in linglan, possibly making the sculpt into a boy and finding a boy body to hybrid it with, but i really know nothing about oasis doll, like their resin matches and stuff like that. i tried searching but most posts talking about matches are all many years old and likely are no longer reliable.

 

I'm a little confused as well. I emailed them to try to get a straight answer, and it sounded like they were just stopping production for last year. Hopefully we'll hear something soon!

 

My apologies - I had totally forgotten about the announcement last Christmas! In that case I'm not sure whether they are still producing resin dolls; best email @killbill to check.

 

I emailed Twiggy at the end of the last year because I was concerned about the announcement as well. The reply that I got was this:

So it shouldn't be more than a temporary discontinuation. Hopefully we'll hear some news soon, there are still a couple of girls that I'd love to add into my collection.

When I emailed Twiggy, I also asked about if they'd sell Natalie again, but I was told there were no plans for her re-release. But thankfully soon after that I got lucky and was offered a second-hand Natalie head, yay! She arrived already in last year's... December, but due to bad weather and other things that have kept me busy, I wasn't able to finish painting her face up until yesterday. But, now I can finally introduce my second Oasisdoll girl, Hwa Young:


I love her lots, she's so handsome~ Now I just need to find her a body of her own, she's borrowing my Linglan's Chic body and the boobs are too big for her character, ahah... ^^; Not to mention she should be a bit taller, as well.

Thank you! Yes, it's such a shame that it doesn't seem like there will be a re-release for Natalie. I also asked the sculptor Sarina and she said that she doesn't have plans for Natalie... but she hinted that Jadeite might get a re-release in the future. I'd love to get Jadeite as well, so I hope that will happen!

As for Naomi, I have no idea if she'd work on a Dollstown body. It looks like all of the It Girls would at least work on the Chic bodies, so probably at least SD16.

I'm new to the Oasisdoll world, and would like some input about the pose-ability of the It Girl and Chic girl bodies for those who can help ^^ I am looking for great pose-ability in my doll's bodies, as well as info on whether or not these girls in normal skin match Volks NS?

@mustbemissa Your girl is flawless And I think the 17yrs body will work too, though it is more slender than most SD16 bodies (from what I can tell). Now I am wondering which Dollstown resin will match the Oasisdoll normal. I have an NS Alejandro head, but no Dollstown/Dollshe parts to compare with, so if anyone here has some, I'd love to see some pictures

Anyone else thinking of getting the new girl Roxanne?
I remember there was a work-in-progress picture of her and Moli a few years back (dug up the news thread for it)
She's very pretty and I like her, but I don't think her head really fits well on the body (like her head is too small for it or the neck is too long idk).
Aahh, would that I have the funds...

 

I'm on a "no more large dolls" policy at the moment, so no Roxanne for me.

 

Does anyone else have twin linglan/yaoyue dolls? I feel like Ive seen quite a few photos on flickr! I have red-headed twins and I feel like their sculpts work so well together to be twins without being the same sculpt!

 

I want to like Roxanne, but something is off for me. I think it's how heavy her brow ridge seems. Still, I think she looks really high fashion, more like Jadeite or Alejandro.

Hi everyone! I ordered Yaoyue's head some time ago last year, and she is sitting in her head box in my room. I've ordered a Fairyland body for her late last year which I'm still waiting for it to come. I do not know if the resin still matches as I heard that Oasisdoll had changed it's resin color by a bit. Kinda worries me.. lol

I will post up pics when the body comes.

 

Definitely do! I'm thinking of putting my Natalie on the Switch 57cm body and giving her body to my Migidoll. I'm curious to see more hyrids.

 

More Oasisdoll hybrids would be awesome! My Alejandro now has a Feeple65 body (modded neck) that works perfectly for him. Now I am looking at Dollstown bodies because I have a white skin Jessie that needs a body that's taller than her Chic body. Here's where I need some help: The DT 18 body has a neck circumference of 9.35 and a shoulder width of 13.5 while the DT 17 has a neck circumference of 9-9.1 and a shoulder width of 12.5 (these are company measurements, so they may be off). The Chic body has a neck circumference of 9.5 and a shoulder width of 10-10.5, so my concern is that my Jessie would look pin-headed on the DT18 and bobble-headed on the DT17 (plus neither neck will fit the neck-hole of the head) What do you all think? Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated ^^

Also, I'd love to see some more pics of your Oasisdoll lovelies!
