@nancy_schroeder_ca Aaah, no, I'll try the Q&A link!! And my junk email is empty ;o; But thank you guys!!
I'm thinking about buying a Pudding soon, but I'm researching all of my clothing/wig/eye options first. I love Doll Heart's clothes, but I'm not sure what size would work best with a Bunny Nine. Does anyone here have any experience dressing their Bunny Nine in Doll Heart outfits? I was thinking the YosD size might work, but the bust is 1 cm too small, and the Unoa size seems to be a couple cm too large in certain places, and 1 cm too narrow in the hips. Here's a link to the measurements page.
I've just started taking an interest in these cuties, and I'm torn between Butter and Peanut. I can find owner photos of Peanut, but not Butter. Could someone please share some photos of their Butter?:3 I'm also hoping they'll have a tan event this year - that chocolate resin is so beautiful!
I Did It!!!! I placed my first "official" BJD order for a Bunny Nine Potpourri! Now next lesson ..."the wait." I'm really excited, and nervous too. I ordered her with the A style face up and a light pink wig. I'm torn between trying to make some guesstimated clothes to have waiting, or just wing it when she arrives. Wheeeeee!
Congrats! I think the 30cm doll range is such a fun size~ I hope you'll share your girl when she arrives. Pink wigs are the best - I have 3 pink-haired ladies myself.
Just saw on Nine9's twitter that they're going to have chocolate Bunny orders on 9/9!! I went to their blog and If I'm understanding Google Translate correctly, they will only do orders on that day, there is a limit of 20 total dolls, and it's the same heads as last time, so no Yami. But still! More tan Bunnies! I wish I had more money!!
Those look so cute! There's also a note up on their website that there will be delivery delays from Sept 9 to 20 for holidays. That might not add too much, but is good to know. I'm waiting for my Bunny, and this might impact her arrival, but being zen is part of the process (along with a little light wall-paper-chewing )
On their English announcement, they say only 5(!) dolls are available. Yeah, that's either pretty limited or they are talking about just five sculpts being available. Oh translations. I think I'll still try to grab a tan Peanut, but I think my chances are pretty low.
I asked them to clarify on their news post here. If they're really only taking 5 total orders, I don't really see the point of bothering to do the event at all.:P
Hey, has anyone made anything for their Bunnys using Iplehouse KID size patterns? And if so, did it work out? Thanks!
I hope someone buys a Chocolate Skin Bunny Nine because they're absolutely adorable and I want to fawn over them.
I was wondering the same thing! I have a KID and really love her size so now I'm pondering a Bunny Nine; I like that fact that they take 14-16 mm eyes instead of the 12 mm in KID. Okay, just checked the measurements: Nine chest is 14 cm while KID is 14.9 Nine waist is 11 cm while KID is 13.5 Nine hips are 16 cm while KID are 16.2
That sounds pretty workable, @vixen ! In the sort of range to try, and then maybe use a ribbon sash or something. Antique Lilac has a free fairy outfit download I was thinking of trying. I'm waiting for my Potpourri, and need something to keep busy with!
I used her tutorial for the fairy costume for the BID size and it was great. I've been wanting to do a fall theme fairy for KID so maybe this will inspire me!
Whelp, they've confirmed they're only taking 5 total chocolate bunny nine orders.>.< How long do you wanna bet the listing stays open for? Two, maybe, three minutes?
Excellent question, and one that I have as well! Seems like it would make more sense to put the event off until they can get a fair number more slots with the casting company.
That tan event will be click wars! But it's what I thought from the announcement- there will only be 5 dolls. Still, it's kind of a good gimmick. If I had the funds I might try.
Well, about a week before they announced the chocolate skin rerelease I asked them, if they were ever going to rerelease them? Maybe it was timing but it does make me wonder if that may explain the small number but doing the event. Either way, sure hope I can snag one.
I just bought one chocolate skin Peanut Girl. For a long time I want a 35 cm Girl. Now all I have to do is wait. Did anyone else buy a chocolate skin?
I sure wanted to but I don't have the funds at the moment. Be sure to post lots of pics when she gets here, I don't see enough Chocolate Bunnies!!
AWW that is too bad, better luck next time. I will post some pictures when she arives. But she will be without face up.
I did too! Boy peanut. Think we'll get extra heads? Also, orders are still up for anyone else thinking about it.
Hi everyone! I have a question- does anyone know how the legs of these girls are strung? I recently got mine a new head, and once it had been on for a while- poof, her legs fell apart. Now I'm left with a legless girl and one long cord for them, but no idea how it had actually been strung. Her arms are strung normally with doubled up cord knotted in the centre, but her legs? I'm totally lost trying to figure out how to restring her and would be super grateful for any insights into how the original stringing was done! Edit: Whoops, never mind that! turns out that she's strung totally normally and it's just that the knot in the leg's cord came undone and confused me. She's all re-strung now. But when I get some more cord I'd like to see about using a tiny touch extra so that her knot can be doubled up, because it bothers me that having a head on for more than a few minutes for the first time can make it come undone like that!
New Bunny announced on Twitter! He looks really similar to Peanut. I think it said he'll be added to the international store tomorrow n_n
I just ordered a Potpourri and the navy modernized hanbock. I had won a gift card from the photography contest, and didn't plan on getting a doll, but I didn't realize this size doll existed until I saw their photos next to a telephone, etc for scale. It explains a lot because a while ago I was looking at Iplehouse and was confused about KID vs JID but now it makes sense, and it might be a huge problem for my wallet because this size seems like it'll be so much fun.
@zaylea , congrats on the photo contest, and the Potpourri! Im waiting for mine, and picked her especially for the size which does indeed look fun! Hope you will share photos of yours when you have her in hand!
Super bummed I missed the chocolate skin event. I was waiting for that all year. but it was just really bad timing. I asked them if they had planned to do another chocolate event after the 99 day and they said they were considering it "someday", but the skin color wouldn't be the exact same. No word of a halloween event either. But hey, new sculpt coming soon that's exciting! *lays on the floor and contemplates life*
Hello everyone! I was wondering if this thread would also be acceptable to discuss the 'Little Bunny' line from Nine9Style, or if anyone has a link to a dedicated thread for Little Bunny if there is one already? I don't think many people must own Little Bunnies yet, so being able to talk about them here iwith other Nine9 bunny fans would be nice =3 . I visited the Nine9 cafe in Seoul last weekend, and I swear, I've seen the Littles around on the Nine9 website a lot, but they never grabbed my attention in the photos. But in person, their teeny tiny scale and tiny details and cuteness are sooo much more endearing and cutesy. I impulse bought a pair, both Potpourri and Pudding. I need to get them wigs and faceups, but aaahhh so cute already! ali
Woot! Shipping!!! My Potpourri is shipping! I am so pleased and nervous! Now, off to work, and stealth-bouncing-with-glee
@Higana, I ordered her August 8th, which makes it about 7 and half weeks... but, in the middle of that there was a big Korean holiday, and they posted word on the website that nothing would be shipped Sept 9 to the 20th. I did a lot of wallpaper chewing, since she's my first to come actually all the way from her factory (My Amelia I got straight from Tonner after an event so they had her in hand) From earlier posts I think people had seen 4 to 6 weeks to from order to shipping when the dolls first came out. I hope that is helpful? She is coming via EMS, and so it will be interesting to see how that process goes. I live sort of out at an end of a rural area so she will have quite a trek!
Hooray!! Shipping notices are the best AND the worst XD They're the best because DOLLIE ON THE WAY!! They're the worst because that's when the tracking stalking starts... at least for me anyway lol
@Deb@Play That's not a bad wait time, considering the delay due to the Korean holiday. I'd say if you got it in a month that's pretty darn fast. But of course, any time waiting for a doll is stressful and feels like it's been forever. It took me 3 months to get my maple. The choco skin event and halloween event had just happened and ended. Both things i really wanted to buy. Timing truly is everything! The little bunny, Maple C, and new mystery sculpt are great too, but I really wish they'd do an event with their current bunny dolls. So many cool things happened last year and this year felt a bit lack luster event wise. But the years not over, we'll see if anything else happens. @almyki Hi there! We did discuss the little bunnies briefly before. While a new thread would be technically more appropriate, there might not be that many owners of the little bunnies on this site to carry on a discussion. I think the regular bunnies themselves are an uncommon doll. I would not object to having the little bunnies discussed here, If no one else minds it of course. Or at least until there seems to be enough discussion to warrant it's own thread. I think the little bunnies are adorable, if i wasn't pining for a choco potpourri, i'd consider the little potpourri.
@RamenDoodles ..."tracking stalking" is just the right description!!! I'm seriously trying not to just hit refresh on the tracking site every hour! If I am reading things right, she's on a plane to San Francisco tonight. I hope she's not too tired to get through Customs smoothly @Higana, I am coming realize this was indeed pretty fast from order to shipping, and I'm feeling pretty grateful all in all I hope you achieve your choco Potpourri! Wouldn't it be dangerous if they do the little bunnies in choco?!?! And @almyki , I'm up for talking about little bunnies here too, if that makes a difference Thanks for the moral support folks! Now, I have to go figure out Flickr better so I'll be able to post pictures!
My Potpourri arrived today! Her EMS trip seems to have been successful from Korean to San Francisco...But her box got wet in transit up the coast I think!!! I will be taking the materials to the Post Office to show them. The box is ruined, but the doll is ok. But I am wondering if the pillow bags can be dry cleaned? I'm not certain if I am feeling damp on one edge of the zipper edge, and I want to stop any issues before they can start. Let me know if anyone has heard of safe ways to clean the pillow bag. (i've also posted this in an EMS thread where I was getting some moral support during the shipping process, to gather more suggestions )
Congrats on your new girl, Deb! Glad she arrived safe and sound! Has anyone seen the new kyle sculpt? It's so nice! Very serious and somewhat solemn looking. I wish they included the head on a female body as well. It reminded me of a slightly more stern maple, but not as playful as peanut. It's so handsome!
Thanks for letting us know, @Higana. I'm so glad to see a new Bunny Nine. I just checked their website and Kyle is available on both the Boy and Girl body.
hi! i'll be visiting seoul next month, and i'm hoping to have a gander at all the bunnynines in person. did they have them (regular bunnynines) for sale in the cafe? *-*
Does anyone here have photos of their Yami? I checked Flickr for owner photos, but only company pics appeared. edit: I ended up getting a Little Bunny Nine Potpourri instead. ^^ edit2: We now have a Little Bunny Nine discussion thread, too.
aaaaa i haven't been here in a while but my choco peanut (ticky!) is out getting a faceup in the UK and im missing him soooo much! i've never sent a doll off for a faceup before, and gosh... it's so weird to not have ticky around?? even though i know he's gone i open up his box sometimes and am just like... "well there's his body...." it's hard too because i just got the pair of eyes i ordered for him in the mail a few days ago.... usually i don't mind waits at all, even for months, but he's been gone less than one and i find myself missing him like this lol how are everyone else's bunnies? i'd love to see some pictures if anyone feels like showing off any of them~~ :3
Not sure if anyone noticed the recent announcement, but I will copy and paste it here: "After a long discussion, Nine9style will going to separate Clothes and doll parts as a different company. Untill December 31th, customers can order Nine9style doll(Sheepnine, Bunnynine and little bunnynine)from Nine9style. After December 31th, customers can order same dolls from separated company. Doll&Cloth sets can be ordered until December 31th. Nine9style will handle all the orders we receive until December 31th. I will appreciate customer's big attention to Nine9style doll's last order. Thank you so much for your time." I don't think it's a big deal, I just find it interesting. I wonder if the new company will be able to produce more or if it'll just be easier. Seems like maybe both, but I am interested in your thoughts?
