@Voidisms Sounds like you and I have similar backstories- got into the hobby, saw dolls at a con before owning any, went it alone for a few years (Good on you, doing your own faceups!), then finally got to join DoA for some community. My first full doll was a Resin Soul Long. Was it Anime North, perchance? I've never been, but they usually have a 'Doll North' section, and I'm told it's a grand time.

Welcome aboard! Song's a great choice, especially now with the updated MSD body. Much better than the old one. Doll Leaves too. It's been years since I owned my Noir, but he was of great quality, and they seem to have only improved upon their old work. I hope you settle in well and find what you're looking for here. And look forward to seeing pictures of your boys, should you post them. There's something wonderful about the DiY aspect of this hobby; no matter what you like to make or use, there is an outlet for it somewhere.

 

Resin Soul makes nice dolls and Song has a very pretty face. I have a Ming (that admittedly is a long term modding project and he is currently in pieces) and I love the sculpting of his face and hands.
