Aesthetics New head practice & a torso stander blushing!

Mar 9, 2017

    1. I have both sixth and seventh face up in this thread:
6th:I just got my new face up practice head called Luck from Df-h. I also got a torso stander from GRANADO.
It's my sixth face up and I just can't wait to do the it since it's my first time to try a SD size and a torso.

      7th:
I redid the face up of Flora, (one of the doll I have, not a practice head) because I'm not satisfied with my second face up on her anymore LOL.
I used color pencil for eyebrow. Eyeliner, eyelash(under) are both done by acyclic paint.

    2. Wow, you're so good! ><
Its only your 6th one? The eyebrows look so good... The blushing is amazing too, it is subtle but it adds so much.
What materials are you using? Airbrush? What type of pencil or paint?

    3. Wow lookin' good, nice job on the details! I'm especially impressed with your eyebrows.
Keep at it, you have talent ^^

    4. He looks amazing! His lower lashes are really well defined in spite of how many there are. Did you look at any tutorial videos/resources? I've got some vinyl o.t. guys that I started out on for practice, but I still don't feel confident enough to attempt repainting resin.

    5. Thank you! I'm using soft pastels and Faber Castell Albrecht pencils. For the eyeliner and eye socket I used acrylic paint.

      Thank you!

I've watched a few on Youtube at first. Then I tried by myself. I think it will be helpful if you draw the shape of eyeliner and eyebrow on a paper first before doing it. Buying a practicing head instead of your doll will be helpful.

    6. Amazing work you did! He looks very charming. It won't be strange if you change the gender :p

    7. Very well done! For only your sixth try you are very good. Keep up the great work :)

    8. Thank you! I will!

    9. Love it <3

    10. Thank you for the advice! I think I'll pick up one the next time a con rolls around.

Are you considering doing a fantasy themed face up? I think you've got the talent for it.

    11. Perhaps! Personally I prefer cute and soft face up, but it will be good to try new things as well.:XD:

    12. Body blushing is absolutely my favorite part of customization! Your boy has such a well defined chest, Great job!

    13. Your dolls are beautifully done. You obviously have a natural talent.

    14. wow you did a really good job looks way better then mine lol

    15. WOW! They look absolutely amazing for being your 6th try! I knew it took me forever to become this good at faceups!

    16. I really love the light eyebrows. You also did such a nice job replicating the fine, dense hairs of the upper eyelashes onto the bottom lid. Really cute!
