Puntine is adorable! I like the iMda/Timps, but I do hope they offer more of the original Timps!

OMG! I decided to look at Soom's site because they had Puntine the last time I looked. I discovered that they are offering a new timp, Jadu. I need her to go with Dubu and Wandoo! I still haven't managed a Yuja.

The glasses are probably not included. They are not listed with the outfit. iMda frequently uses items that are not included.

 

thats too bad, im a sucker for kids in glasses, though good cause i make my own clothes and wont be tempted to order them if the glasses arent included.

 

I ordered Jadu today along with her outfit and wig. I asked Soom on the Q&A board where they got them as I really would like a pair.

 

There's a new Timp elf named Vorin on the Gem site? He's cute but he needs a Christmas elf outfit!

That's true! Although Soom has done a lot of Christmas specials, I don't remember any that were really Christmas themed. I wonder if he has regular human feet in addition to the resin elf shoes.

 

it would be a shame if he didn't. i like shoes, but i need my dolls to go barefoot part of the time. not, that i'm planning on getting this one, but still...

 

Here's my ws Dubu with faceup by Pauli's Studio. Is it just the faceup or does she look like a sleepy Dubu?

She does look a bit sleepy! The sleepy Dubu looks grumpy! I posted a picture with both of them on page 6:

I wouldn't have known about a sleepy Dubu otherwise.

Does your sleepy Dubu actually have "sleepy" etched inside the face plate, Nancy? Mine just has "Dubu".

 

Sleepy has an S under the Dubu in the headcap. I think she does in the head too but I can't see it with the eyes installed. Sleepy Dubu has different shaped eyes from the regular Dubu.

Hi.. I just adopted a little Yuja and now I have twins Yuja. I wander if Soom Timp and late white sp are the same size? also it is very hard to get these girls a wig, everything seems to loose on the head.

 

they are similar i believe, they are also close in size to the fairyland pukipukis. wigs are tough. most people end up with hand made wigs if they didn't get the defaults, though i believe there are a few out there that fit. i just don't know off hand what they are. if you read back through the discussion threads you could probably find them.

 

I have a 3/4 size wig on my Wandoo that was made for obitsu 1/6 heads. It fits really well, but not the right color, so I'm still looking.

 

Yeah, I have one which is fit and not to loose is from Leekeworld. I think I might just try make it my own.

they didn't really show much did they? but the few glimpse of the body looked like a nice shape. i wonder if they will all be anthropomorphic?

They are currently putting up the 2.6 Modigli and Gian. They end May 10th.

A timp release would be nice! Maybe we should all ask Soom!

 

another release would be great. i can't get any more dolls right now, but the thread always gets more active when new dolls are released and if we got some new timp owners maybe the thread would perk up a bit?

I still haven't been able to add Yuja to my collection, but have sleepy Dubu, Wandoo, and Jadu. I'm like auntbear as I can't get another doll right now as I just purchased 2 dolls. But I love the little Timps.

Dubu is available again with your choice of the prior normal or sleepy heads or a new smiling face!

 

hmm, i like the old grumpy faces better, personally. and since i already have dubu twins, i'll probably skip this round

Well, I did it. In spite of me telling myself no more dolls, I ordered a Dubu. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the order?

 

Congratulations! Which head did you choose? It generally takes 2 1/2 to 3 months. If it is over 100 days, you get points back.

 

I got the basic. I have this thing that each type of doll should have a companion/sibling so I got the Dubu to go with my Yuja. She was getting lonely.

 

The basic face is adorable! Yuja should be very happy!

I haven't really done much with Yuja since I got her because she will be female and she has no hair. Any suggestions on wig sizing or a source?

 

wigs are tough for of these little ones. a lot of us try wig making out of pure desperation... or they stay bald and wear hats!

 

I ordered a Dubu at the end of May. It just came today but I was very disappointed to find that his head was not attached to the body and there are no eyes. Is this usual for Soom? I can see wrapping the face separately but I am quite annoyed about the head being off. Now I will have to order some eyes. I have the regular Dubu, not the sleepy one so does anyone know what size eyes I should get?

Soom lists 6mm eyes on the original Dubu. They have been listing more things as options or separate items, but it would be nice if they warned you that things like eyes need to be ordered separately. They would be GLIB acrylic eyes like these at Denver Doll Emporium EYES for your favorite ball join

It is easier to put the eyes in when the head is not on the body. It is very easy to put the head on. Just place it over the s-hook and pull the s-hook up and turn it to got across the slot. Your can use a hook, peice of ribbon or string to pull the s-hook up.

 

thank you for the info. Mostly I order Fairyland dolls and they always come with eyes. I guess one good thing about buying my own eyes is that I get to pick the color. Little Dubu is awfully cute.

i love timps too, but i already have a yuja, and don't really see the need for another one. especially since the one i have is still waiting for me to make her the right wig!

Why is it I always fall for a doll after the ordering period has closed?! Just came across the timps and I love the recent Yuja release. I guess I will have to go back through these threads and admire everyone else's dolls instead!

 

I was lucky enough to find a yuju second hand. Hopefully she'll be with me next week.
I have to say this thread is very hard to find using the search facility! Possibly because I was searching Soom imda timp - most of which isn't in the title of the thread. Is there any reason for the AngelRegion bit as most of the Soom dolls have 'Soom' as part of the discussion thread title?

 

@ginarolo is the first post in the thread, so she could easily add Soom to the title.

 

It's in there because the size still carries the Neo AngelRegion tag, even though the base site is off of Soom.

 

I understand that the company was known as Neo-AngelRegion then, but I think it would be good to have both names, Neo-AngelRegion and Soom, in the title now.

 

Ah, thanks for the explanation. It would be helpful to have Soom included as if you are new to the company you wouldn't think to look for AngelRegion as it's a category that lots of the dolls are under but it's not mentioned on any of the other thread titles. I searched for it as the dolls are listed on the website.
Anyone new to the brand wouldn't know the history either.
