I think these little ones are just too cute. Everyone's pix are adorable. I would love to get a Yuja but the web site says sold out. Will they be available for order again? I never got anything from Soom or AngelRegion so I am not sure how it works with them. What is the difference on the website between "timp" and "imda timp"?
Soom is hard to predict, but most of the iMda's have been offered again. You can watch the marketplace also. Timp was a NeoAngelRegion doll before they offered iMda dolls. So iMda/Timp is a new iMda head on the old Timp body. The iMda heads are larger the the Timp heads. I am planning a picture of my iMda/Timp girls and I will let my Timp Puntine join the group. Here's a picture: Timp Puntine with iMda/Timps Dubu, Yuja and Sleepy Dubu aka Grumpy
puntine really does have a different look to her doesn't she? i thought she was a pukipuki at first glance, then read your entry. the girls all look adorable together, and i may have to take another look at puntine
I have always loved Puntine, even though I don't own one. She is so adorable! She holds her own even when put up against the darling iMda Timps. Such a cute pic, Nancy!
Thanks for the information Nancy. Your girls are adorable. I can totally see the difference between the timp and the imda timps now. Normally, I am not such a fan of heads that are disproportionately large on a doll, but I have to get me an imda timp even though I swore off getting any more dolls. Hi, my name is Nancy R and I am a resin addict.
I have a new Dubu, who I call Noel as she was a Christmas doll. Dubu-blonde by Linda K48, on Flickr[/IMG]
Bed-2 by Linda K48, on Flickr Noel's bed and bedding are Christmas theme, as will her room be when it is finished. This little one is so sweet! Gotta love that face. Not sure why the pictures are coming out so small, but I notice if you click on them, they go to Flicker where the photo is bigger.
I'm not much for large heads either, but I tolerate them much better on little dolls! When I look at that group, I think I still like Puntine the best. She borrowed Genie Lilica's original wig for the picture! Hi Nancy R! Resin addiction is a common problem here!
I hope you can get an iMda Timp very soon! Keep watching Soom's website and FB page for new releases. Also, keep an eye on the MP and the Bay. I'm sure you'll get an iMda Timp one way or another. She's very cute! Congratulations!
Oh my these girls are all just too cute, love the little grumpy on the end... Thank you for the picture it is nice to see the line up.
loving all the cuties, keep the pictures coming please, between a cold snap and the fact that i've been in bed all week with a bad case of the flu poor chester is still waiting for his faceup to start.
Adorable pics of your little ones, Nira and anjav! Nira, I especially love that cute little dog! I'm sorry to hear you are ill, auntbear. I pray that you'll be feeling much better very soon! My Fairyland girls are still waiting for face-ups, too. I have a few others that I must do first, though, and I just started them today. Hopefully I will get to my own girls soon!
I just received my Yula. I am having a hard time finding some wigs 4in for her. Any tips? Where did you get yours wigs? Thanks
Congratulations on the arrival of you Yuja! If you like Monique wigs, they have the 4" size. That's where I got mine. You can also try the Bay and Etsy.
Dollwig on Etsy has 4in wigs. Very good quality. I have one for another doll that looks awesome on her.
Thanks guys I will have a look. I have some Monique wigs for my pukifee. Only thing is , they are usually coming from USA and I get so much export taxes/custom taxes to UK it is unbelievable. So trying to avoid buying from US at the moment.
have you considered making a wig then? there are a fair number of tutorials out there including one thread here specific to small heads. i know there are some wool/mohair suppliers in the uk so you should be able to find the supplies semi-locally
Many sellers will mark down on request, if you're happy for them to do so. I have used Facets by Marcia in the past for Monique wigs, her postal costs for one or two wigs are good http://www.facetsbymarcia.com/ and my favourite wig company is www.formydoll.com, again their postage costs are good as you can select normal post.
I'd recommend Marcia too. I bought the wigs for my three kids from her and they came through without problems. I bought size 4 and they fit well though the Hannah wig is a bit bulky on top (my fault - I should have ordered the bob but it didn't come in the colour I preferred).
I just received by Sleepy Dubu today as the other one (dubu normal) she is very cute but I'm very disappointed by the wig I took the two wig (blond and red hair) there are not a lot of hair on it and sewing are visible : very bad quality wig For the moment she is wearing the blond one but I'm not sure that she will keep this one so I'm please to introduce you : Séraphine Séraphine by Loofthewood, on Flickr
Congratulations on your new cutie! I am sorry to hear how disappointed you are about the wigs. Soom wigs are definitely not the best quality. I hope you can purchase her a nicer one very soon.
cute girl but i agree with you on soom's wigs. they definitely aren't up to the quality of their dolls, and are not worth the price. after i got my first one i decided my dubu/yujas would stay bald or wear hats until i had til to make them better wigs. poor kids they are still all bald! cute outfit bagirka!
Yes The wig for my Imda modigli 3.0 was perfert that's why I'm so surprised for me it's the last time I ordered the wig for the Imda Timp Bagirka : she is very cute : I love her little boots So here My Dubu normal (blue) Amantine and My Dubu sleepy (green) Séraphine Amantine & Séraphine by Loofthewood, on Flickr
maybe they just have trouble with smaller wigs then? i'm pretty sure people complained about the wigs for anne as well cute outfits btw
I think the wigs are handmade and vary in quality. I don't think it's the best construction technique for such a tiny wig but with careful fluffing I have gotten most of mine to look good. I don't like the huge curls on the Sleepy Dubu blonde wig, so I may restyle it.
I didn't like the curls at all so I put the wig in pigtails, which I like a lot better . . . I also pulled more to the front to add a bit more hair for the bangs . timp by Pinkfrontgate, on Flickr
Thanks nancy_schroeder_ca thank you... and that's after I pulled a bit up front to give better coverage.
Thanks auntbear, I wish I took a before picture. . . I am still looking for the perfect name for her... soom dubu by Pinkfrontgate, on Flickr
there has been a suggestion on the 2.2 thread that since there are now 5 sizes of imdas spread unevenly over 3 threads that we consolidate all sizes into 1 new imda tiny thread instead that would cover all sizes from timp to 3.0. this would let us talk about all of them and might make the thread more active. any thoughts on that? do you like the separate threads as they are now with 2 sizes on each (the 2.6 is currently on two threads) or would you rather see one new thread with all 5?
As you know from the other thread, I definitely like the idea. Personally, I would enjoy seeing all sizes of the Soom tinies, even though I may not own every size. They are all beautiful! Plus, it would definitely make the thread more active, which it needs, and a lot simpler.
A lil' one arrived yesterday and wanted to introduce herself: I think I finally found the girl to bear the name Miep. She tells me she's not so sure about wigs yet or is too fond of shoes for that matter. She does love hats and wearing socks - something about feeling the ground but without getting her feet dirty! I'm so happy to have her, haven't felt this excited about a dolly in a long time
