Pink Mystery arrived and needed to try out the DC kid body I have. She looks a bit more like a teenager!

I just got the notice that my last payment for Grook cleared, Hurray! So now, that little pink girl just has to cross an ocean to get to me. I can't wait

My Grook came today! She will be faceless for a little while but I wanted to share a quick piccie of her anyway. She is sooo effing cute!

 

I have really enjoyed this thread and seeing pics of all Nefer's BJDs. I personally think her sculpts each show the love she has for each one. I love all the different shapes, just like us humans. Lou, with beautiful faceup by Sally C., is my favorite followed very closely by Grook. Thanks, DOA, for including discussions of her dolls.

Looks like I just missed out on getting a grook of my own, all sold out. I noticed one in someones avatar picture and immediately fell in love. I'm glad to hear Nefer has decided to continue with dolls in the meantime (hopefully there will one day be another preorder for grooks in a different colour, haha) and have subscribed to the newsletter for updates.

My Mystery is now on an old Asleep Eidolon slim-mini body I had; I like her taller look! I love her original Nefer Kane body and hope to put a Dollzone YoSD head on it later.

I'm still a noob to BJD. Hope it's okay to ask... I love Nefer's dolls. They really are amazing. My question: Does she always do pre orders with layaway options? Is there and opportunity to order older releases again? I missed the pre order of GiGi and I'd really love a Humpty!

Yes Nefer always does preorders with layaway options! Sometimes it's possible that she does order for older dolls. But for Gigi ask to her, she always orders more dolls to sell after

Hi all, it's my first time joining the Nefer Kane CK discussion. I got a white Moon today Even though she is supposed to be a moon, I wanna make her into a cheese headed fairy or something. Like a dairy fairy!! Anybody ever read the Stinky Cheese Man? She reminds me of that lol

The green skin Moon looks like stinky cheese to me! LOL! A cheese fairy/dairy fairy is a cute idea!

I'm super excited by this doll! She kind of grew on me. I liked the sculpt a ton before the craters were added, then I wasn't so sure. Then I just had to get her!

 

Ha! I thought the green one looked like Stinky Cheese Man too! Debating what colour I want for moon; probably the glow-in-the-dark so I can blush whatever colour I want.

I have been lucky enough to get a late order in for Nefer's Moon girl in green resin with face up! I'd love to know if anyone else here is expecting one of these gorgeous crater-headed girls??

 

I've got one on layaway! I think that puts me at Sept, not sure when she'll ship. Alice is mentioned on Facebook as being next to preorder after Bloon.

 

There is a BJDC here at the end of this week/weekend. I'm super excited to see Nefer's work in person! I think Gigi will be coming home with me.

 

I'm still a noob to the bjd world. I'm getting a blank circuskane doll and need inspiration and info and how to do faceups...kind of a simple faceup. I've worked on blythe before, but nothing else. where is a good place to start my search?

 

You can use the same stuff as Blythe; acrylic paint, chalk pastels, coloured pencils- I use MSC on my Blythe as well. I tend to look through flickr groups for inspiration, you get to see faceup artists as well as regular Schmoes. : )

 

She is so lovely.

Hmm maybe? If I go to http://www.ckdolls.com/collections/all it lists Moon as sold out. If you do want a Moon though I think she was going to order a couple extra?

 

The pull down options had moon light blue and she said she's fixed it now, just a typo. Thank you I will watch for them ^^

My moon is on her way to me! I am so excited about this beautiful doll Who else has had their shipping notice from Nefer?

 

I asked Nefer to hold my Moon. I'm moving in less than 2 weeks and don't want to take the chance of missing her!

Mine was shipped too! She showed me a quick shot on instagram. Just left France yesterday and I'm checking the tracking incessantly.

 

Mine is currently out for delivery, I am beyond excited!!!

I am in work currently though so I am driving my husband mad asking him to make sure that someone is in to sign for her!!!

 

Mine was delivered this morning- on a Sunday! Currently whipping up a quick faceup. Anyone else??

Got mine the day I expected too and she's beautiful! I'm loving her in orange! I've got to tweak the face up a little and I'm waiting on her eyes but I'm so in love! I'll be deciding on a name today.

Please excuse the poorly lit picture it was taken as soon as I opened her and it's so dark here in the evenings!

 

And one more for good luck and she's now got a name too, Knot

 

She looks perfect under that tree!

 

I keep spamming her, but I seriously can't help it! Here is Knot with her revised face up (I left the original work around the eyes, on the cheeks and lips and added to that, but replaced all of the paint in the craters).

 

@beatnik I love what you've done with her! I didn't order one, now I kind of wish I had.

 

She still had some spares available, so it might be worth emailing to see if you can get one @kcoconuts?

Hi everyone! I just put a Mystery on a short layaway (SQUEE!), but I wanted to get my little one some stuff before I pay her off. I have been looking and cannot quite find what size wig she wears. If anyone knows that, her eye size, AND clothing that fits, I'd be grateful to know! Thanks!
