I was being sarcastic saying how dare she slander Bimong and tell people not to order from him, given the situation that she's left people in. I wouldn't buy from Catrina if she were the last doll retailer on the planet!
Catrina/dollfair has not been sending out lots of people's dolls or money since 2009 but Bimong is shipping people's orders bought direct from him and also from Catrina/dollfair by his own cost.I bought my Narae directly from Bimong in Dec and recieved today.People who ordered from dollfair/Catrina more than a year ago are still waiting.Isn't this not clear enough who is to be cautioned ordering from?I will be very sad if someone still decide to send orders to dollfair.
I just wanted to mention... My Neferti head in white urethane was sent some days ago, and she is already in Ireland; she will most likely come to me tomorrow. I am infinitely grateful to Bimong for doing this on his lonesome, and I plan to buy a doll from him as soon as I can afford it; he has behaved as a true gentleman, a man of honor and to me, his name and that of his dolls has been cleaned.
That is probably another reason Catrina went to IDEX, to get her version of the story out to as many people as possible.
DO NOT ORDER FROM DOLLFAIR!!! JUST READ THIS THREAD!!! Now I cannot order a Supia doll or a Limwha doll because they use dollfair as their dealer... WHAT A SHAME!!!! As for Bimong, he is a man of honor and upheld his end of the bargain out of his own pocket. I would never hesitate to order from him directly. In fact I hope he starts producing bodies for the Neferti heads. I received mine and she is just perfect.

Recieved my Neferti today. She is just awesome, as Bimong is. I have not enough words of gratitude towards him for this noble gesture.
I’m not happy about the situation, but I am very happy that Bimong is still able to make his beautiful dolls, and has restored the trust of his clients. Mature Narea 60cm was my first SD, and she has been very inspiring to me and remains my favorite SD, as I have gotten a few more since her. This Nefertiti head is just perfect! The fact that I was able to get her despite all this has spared me quite a bit of heartache. As not only would I have been out a nice sum of $$$, I would not have been able to enjoy this lovely sculpt. I am very grateful. I am hoping to see a narae body as well. The French resin does not completely match the white urethane I got, not that I expected it to. I was a little surprised to find that the Nefertiti head was smaller than the mature head I originally had. At first I did not think it would fit, but it look really good, and is a bit more realistic in proportion because of it. If anyone is interested I will try to find time to upload a picture and post a link. The resin difference may not be noticeable because of lighting, or it might. Both were order in white, and I have tried to preserve the french resin as best I can.
I hope so as well.... I really wish i would have known about these on-going issues before I ordered a Limwha Leda on Dec.1st. I haven't gotten an email from Limwha in a very long time. Since I ordered basically, Since i had emailed them about my order and they confirmed they had gotten it and i should receive it at the end of Feb. But have gotten no word on shipping from them... D: I guess im out $350 this really sucks!!!

You can probably still file a chargeback through your bank or credit card company since it's only been 4ish months. You can file a chargeback if: You did NOT pay with your paypal balance You paid directly with a debit or credit card, EVEN if you paid with your debit or credit card through paypal the bank will still take the money out of catrina's account through paypal. You can call the number on the back of the card that the money came from and explain the situation and proceed with the chargeback.
I paid straight from my bank balance through paypal. Im so confused! So, Limwha didn't actually get my order? or did they? I have no idea! Paid Instant bank transfer... I don't know what to do!
Up until now Limhwa dolls have been shippng ok (ish) and Catrina is still promoting herself as a Limhwa agent, so don't lose hope. Try emailing Limhwa herself, keep your English simple, and hopefully you'll get good news.
I did send Limwha an Email *To the one above* Just asking about my order and if they had actually gotten it. I have my fingers crossed that they did... I really hope they did. I don't know what I would do if they actually didn't!

I got an Email back this morning from Limwha. ( I turned on Gmail SMS Updates because this was worrying me so much.) But the message is kind of mixed Not entirely sure what that means. I think she got my order kind of late? I'm..really not sure. I'd absolutely would prefer to have a Limwha Leda then a Charge back right now. How long do I have before a Charge Back is completely out of the question?
Different banks will have different chargeback policies, usually. I found out about mine the hard way; I only had 60 days to do it. Some are 90 and I've heard of one that was even 120. Good luck with whatever you try!
If Catrina didn't send your order in until February, that's outrageous in itself. Why don't you email Limhwa back, and ask her when did she receive your order and how long will it take to make. And can she ship directly to you.
From what I understand, Catrina still seemed to be doing ordering periods. I know the ordering period for my Narin order from 2009 was open from the beginning of December until the end of January. She didn't seem to forward the orders until February. O_o

I have some hope! The email i had gotten seems to indicate that my order is being processed/in the making. But i still Emailed Limwha again to see if i could have it shipped directly to me. Plus I asked when she got the order and how long till completing the order. I hope soon! Its also been the only email i have gotten in a long time about my Limwha Leda. I really hope things start to clear up soon! I really want a Limwha Half Elf!

Okay. I got this Email a moment ago. I sent an Email asking these three questions. When did you get my order? When will my order be complete? Can i have my order shipped directly too me? And i got this as an answer.
It would appear they mean they received the orders on Feb 11 and are currently in preparation of all orders (it will take 20-30 business days). I think the last bit means they're scheduled to ship out in March sometime (I would estimate toward the end of the month).
No..She just said Even though i emailed her the direct one question of " Can i have my order shipped directly too me?" And thats what I got.
So.... If Catrina is still running limhwa then why is she completely ignoring not only the Narin people but also the 5 other artists and companies that worked with her. None of her behavior makes any sense.
That is odd, but Limhwa is also seemingly the only studio amongst them that still wants to deal with her. O_o Would have been easiest to just have amicable endings with everyone. The behavior doesn't make sense at all.
I have some good news to share with those who have filed with the Ohio Attorney General. Today I got a phone message from Monica Gregory, an investigator from the Ohio Attorney General's office. She told me that with the number of opened complaints (currently at 15) against Dollfair that it needs to get investigated at another level, therefore she will be handling all of the cases. She also states that she will be sending out letters to the people who filed to gather more info so that she may locate other assets to see if further legal actions can be taken to get everybody their money back. Monica will NOT be contacting Dollfair at the moment but instead be gathering evidence. If you have questions she can be reached at 216-787-5744 Has anybody else received a call from her? Finally some progress with all those filing.
O.O Wow, that's great news! I haven't heard anything just yet, no. Still (slowly) working up the evidence and courage to go to the police.
i'm so glad for you all, that is great news. i'm not involved but i have just been reading and hoping that this all could be resolved in some way.

This is a great new.I am glad that the Ohio Attorney General's office will do more research on this case.Hopefully they will get Catrina to get in touch with people's refunding requests very soon.

I'm belatedly updating my status, but I just wanted to let you know I have received my Neferti head and feel really very, *VERY* grateful to Bimong, nocturneofsilence and all the other people that worked so hard to help and try to solve things for the customers. I still hope Dollfair / Catrina will not get away with this, and that they'll take (or be legally enforced to take) their responsibilities. I was very happy to read Mimiko_Obsessed's update ; it's really good and comforting to hear the case is considered with as much attention as required. EDIT 1 : I just received an e-mail from Monica Gregory ! Here is a copy : Bimong did send me the Neferti head, but does it makes my complain labelled as 'resolved' ? The resolution didn't exactly came from Dollfair, so I don't know what I'm supposed to do to be fair and accurate. EDIT 2 : This might be a really naive or stupid question but does anybody know if Bimong has himself filled a claim with Ohio Attorney or US Justice for illegal sale of his products / use of his name and creations, etc ? Maybe he should try it, so that he can have at least a chance to get back his money ?
I have a question about the Attorney General thing suddenly. I remember a while back I got a letter and email from a different person with their office that basically closed my complaint. In that case, I guess I can't expect to hear anything from this woman? I'd like to believe that I will, anyway, but I'm worried they don't have my file anymore or something. D;
Paddishtou, I don't think those who have received their items should consider this situation resolved even though it's the easy way out. The fact is that Bimong still made the heads/dolls at his own expense and never got paid for them. I personally think it would be the right thing to do to keep on pursuing Dollfair until everything is completely resolved; the money returned to the rightful person. From my understanding, nocturneofsilence did help Bimong file his complaint through the Ohio AG a while back. With the different specialists handling each of our complaints initially, I don't think the Ohio AG office realized at the time that there were going to be more than 1 or 2 complaints against Dollfair so they probably took it case by case. Power in numbers again, go us! I_DekuPhantomme, maybe you should contact Monica to see what she has to say about your complaint. It won't hurt to try.
I got the e-mail from Monica and sent in all my receipts, correspondence, and so forth. Luckily, I keep very meticulous records.

Anyone who has received their Neferrti heads, have you decided what bodies to put them on?? She's a small head; I chose the lady body from Raurencio Studio in the white skin. My Neferti is white. I had tried my Ylisande body but the proportions are off as is the resin color.....
IMHO....the fact that people are receiving heads from Bimong does NOT absolve Dollfair/Catrina from the fact that Dollfair/Catrina took monies and did not ship the items to us. I think if any funds get recovered by each of us receiving items....said funds should then be paid to Bimong for the items he's sending us. If Bimong has filed he didn't get the funds....and we filed we didn't get the merchandise....facts support BJD store/agent - Dollfair/Catrina as the common problem area.
I would say contact Monica that you are part of this group of complaints. In light of the number of complaints....your case should be re-opened on the basis of new evidence. We're up to 17 complaints now with the Ohio Attorney General. I told Monica that Dollfair with the same address info is selling under her limhwa site with a similar no contact pattern emerging.
Obsessed Mimiko: Does she give an email address at all? I filed with OAG ages back but never had a confirmation email, I wonder if it disappeared, I work on a Mac and sometimes things go astray. I'd send her my details and story if it would help back up the case for anyone still left hanging?

Someone may like to point out to Monica that Dollfair has approx 5 working websites for dolls that she no longer represents, all of which you can both order and pay for a doll. I'm pretty sure that would be considered fraudulent activity in itself.
