Narae and Narin 60cm discussion

Goodness I hate the wait. ._. This is almost as agonizing as that time I waited 3 months for a doll that was promised in 3 weeks. Though at least with this I knew what I was getting myself into... XD I still want my Narin head though.

 

please post more pictures of your 60cm boys?
i'm determined to get one sometime before the year is out and would love to see more pictures.

 

yepp, me too... I'm thinking about getting one. There's one thing is bothering me - he's body. I'm so not into low-jointed torso((((

 

I'm intending on putting my Narin head on a Domuya flexi-body. I have absolutely no idea if his new urethane resin will match the Domuya resin... and if it doesn't, I'm going to have to figure something out. But either way, I can't stand hip-jointed dolls, so a different body was a must.

 

if you want one before the end of this year you should order one soon. the wait is about 3 mounths. i would post picturs of mine but i'm still waiting for her. the wait is the worst, but i'm sure it is worth it. i've been looking for pics of narin 60 too. they are hard to come by. i plan on getting a narin some day. they are so lovely. narae 60 are hard to come by, but not as hard. i plan on posting lots of picturs of my girl when she gets here to make up for that

i could not find any pics that showd me what his sculpt looked liked. you are a life saver! and i will add that he has a very nice sculpt, but i expected there to be more detail around the hips like narae has.

 

I think he doesn't have that much detail there because he has the joint there and Narae has that joint in her waist.

Nevertheless I think he's quite detailed. . .

They are absolutely, you should certainly get one!

I mean, I never had the regret buying Durante.
He's stunning and absolutely gorgeous, it's just that I don't do anything with him at all.
I don't feel like "yea I should sew him THAT" or "ohh I know a great shoot for him!".
He doesn't really inspire me, I guess.

 

rykaan, I want tanned one.... in matte. Don't think I will find a body for him in this case)) I saw pictures of Narae on Domuya body... looked very nice! May be their suntan will work with Golden beige of Narin? Which color of resin you chose?
TiggTea, I do hope new owner will post Durante pictures! I love him very much - I just can't buy French resin dolls while live here.... way toooo hot....

 

I went with pinky-white resin. If I'm not mistaken Domuya does offer a tan option that is the same light sort of tan that the Narins come in... but there's no telling if it'd match.

 

I know what you mean. My AOD Rao that I have is the same for me. She’s a great doll; I’m just so uninterested in her. I think I might sell her eventually. Plus I also want a MSD size narae as well, and selling Rao would make good space for her. But that’s all in the far future.

I ordered mine a few moments ago. Pinky White Matte Resin. He's hopefully going to be a character I've long wanted in dolly format. Now...who can tell me where I could get a nice mohair auburn wig, sort of...shoulder length??

Bwiel: there are a lot of website you can find mohair at. Just depends what you looking for and how much you are willing to spend. Most of the site I know of are in Korea or America.

I chose the standard open eyed Narin. Charisma is lovely but i wanted a softer facial expression which I think the open eyed Narin has more.

 

rykaan I want to have white dolls... but with such a hot weather they not gonna be so white soon. I have Sard who is really white - I so wanted him in NS, dunno how long he stay like that thou((

Vanilla sky: that’s a bummer I would be so sad if it were too hot to own a narae. If you really wanted one you could put it in an acid free container and keep it in the fridge. I actually don’t if that would work. It was just an idea. I ordered a white one and I’m already paranoid about her yellowing, and it’s not even hot ware I live. I get about one to two months that the weather is warm out of the year .
I was looking at the close ups of narin’s chest, and good grief those nipple really do stick out.

 

laura121786 I want to buy Narin but in matte resin only. My friend bought Supia and she turn pretty... greenish.... like a frog... it took 3 months only. May be it would be better if she became green all over the body, but not - her chest, hands, face at most, looked like she sick or something. I hope tanned matte will not bring me this kind of surprise!

I also send email to Catrina 2 days ago and still nothing. But I used email from my last Limhwa order.... hmmm... Should I use another one?

 

Vanilla sky, you really think narae’s are bad posers? I was hoping they would be ok at it, because one of the reasons I wanted these dolls is so I can use them as models for my paintings. They seem like they would be well balanced because their feet are so flat.
I do know for sure that supia dolls are fantastic posers, if anyone wants to know. Supia Roda is on want list. Just a little side note.
And, do you have a limhwa doll? if so which one? I’m going to guess that it would be mano.

HELL NO! That's. . . Not true at all
They're the best!
Vespa is such a great poser, she can do everything I want (okay I gotta admit I never tried standing on one foot, but do I want her to do that. . . NO!).
Perhaps my Narae is exceptional in that case but I don't believe so, I've heard more people being very enthousiastic about their Narae60's posing. Vespa is great, she could stand straight when she came just out of her box. Not sueding needed AT ALL!

And Narins?
They're good also.
Sure Narae's are better but that's due to the torso-joint, Narins only have the hip-joint.

I love his rump and his back. It is a shame that narin doesn’t have the upper-waist-joint. It would be perfect if he did. Still, he is lovely.

and Mano, yes! He is such a man)) Sure, he is not that big and strong as new IH, but he is different - his face is so far from a lot of dollies faces! I love this guy, only problem I have sometimes - clothes - they are small or not his style

Dollheart has the nicest outfits- so well made. I usually order them through bjdollarama- the lady there is really nice! The wig is by tinybear, I am not sure what it is called but it is perfect for her as her pinky white tone changes...

I've got a Narin 60 head in order 71, the one shipping out in the next week. I intend on spamming all sorts of pictures of him, both before I do his faceup and after. :]

I finally got something made for Ava. Poor thing had to stay in her box with only her underwear on. I designed and made the entire outfit, except the shoes, which are from Releaserain. They fit okay but I am not that happy with them.

I wanted to dress Ava like her namesake, Ava Gardner. This is a drop-waist dress with full sleeves and French cuffs. It is made out of silk taffeta. The hat and purse are out of black ultra-suede. The black veil on the hat is from a vintage hat. The beaded necklace has three crystals in the center.

She was pretty easy to fit and sew for. My hardest problem with these big girls, are taking decent photos. They are so much bigger than my 43cm girls. I might have to invest in yet another digital camera. Oh my, it never ends!

I have more outfits planned, but Alexa and Ava have to share my time with my other dolls and it is hard to please them all!

 

Well I have just read all 45 pages and EVERYONE your Narins & Naraes are beautiful.
I now have 3 of the little Naraes which make a really nice group. So I have made up my mind to get a large Narae next. If I can get in Order 73 she will hopefully be here for Christmas.

Can anyone tell me what wig size he uses? I can't find any information about it.

 

My doll arrived today. She is a thousand times more beautiful than she is in pictures. I have named her Callisto, it is my favorite moon. I gave her a face-up, but have not done her nails yet. She was the hardest face-up I have ever done. Let me know if you think it’s any good.
Here she is in some different wigs I got her. I’ll spam her more once I sew her some new cloths.

thank you. she is snow white french resin. is it all light, or just sunlight that makes french resin turn yellow?

 

Light doesn't help, but French resin will turn, even if it's kept completely in the dark. The resin itself isn't stable, so it goes through changes regardless. Though, light makes it turn faster.

I have taken so many pictures of Callisto I just can’t help but want to share. She is so photogenic. I am so surprised by her realism that when I look at her sometimes I expected to come to life and start talking and am surprised when she doesn’t.
