Narae and Narin 60cm Discussion part 2.

It's hard to say, but even if he doesn't plan to make them later, enough requests may change his mind over time.

 

I can't wait for the new body. I've been waiting with baited breath for its release. I really want it to hybrid but I also have a growing found was for the Narae's now.

 

@sahoma I read those comments on flickr and I was confused by what he was saying as well. I thought perhaps it might be that they're a gift with the first pre-order and not on the second and he missed that you were asking if they would be for sale separately later. I can't imagine that he would put all that work into those feet and make them a limited first pre-order gift only. Right? I don't want to buy the doll right now but I do need bodies so will likely jump into the first preorder if it's offered in white.

 

Bimong's English is limited so his meaning is not always clear. For a long time he did not offer bodies separately but has changed that policy so customer requests may change hispolicy in the future.

 

Okay, maybe this is a stupid question, but which heads will fit the new body? I thought all their heads were MSD size.

 

The Narae N610 and N60S heads! N6.... is a 60cm head.

The sales dates have been announced! October 15th at midnight through the 25th!

That is N60S. The neck of the body is 9.5cm.

The N60S head is available in light tan and normal skin.

 

Thanks @nancy_schroeder_ca and @dollhausen! I love the new body and would like to get it someday, but I'm not too fond of the head. I wish they would make the Narae 410 head for the 60 body. I have wanted that for a long time, but I'm just not very good with MSDs.

 

Yeah, MSD's are lame. Go SD or go home!

Seriously though, I really like the new body and was thinking about using it for a hybrid but now that I've seen the price, I'm out.

 

From the announcement on his site: "Head and body can be purchased separately, the price of head is 150 dollars and the price of body is 850."

Ouch! Definitely can't buy it this time!

Edit: I looked at the conversion to CAD, and it's 1100$! Oh boy! That would be my most expensive doll EVER. If I can ever get her <.<;;;

 

Ouch! I knew it would be expensive with all those pieces. That's a lot of molds!

 

just read the email too...I didn't think it would be "that" much, well at least I was hoping it wouldn't be that much. It breaks my heart to have to pass. Timing just couldn't be any worse for me. Can't wait to see final version. I'm also intrigued by all of the engineering that he mentioned.

 

I can't afford the new body either, but maybe I'll buy it in the future when they get some more SD heads.

 

For that kind of money I'll never buy one. I was worried it was gonna be over $500! But that's left earth's atmosphere as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps I'll find one used some day in future times.....or I win the lottery.

 

I like the new Narae's face and can't wait to see her together with her body and posing. I would have preferred something a little odder as far as the face goes but I truly like her the way she is now. The price on the body,well, I expected because of all the joints. Still want her - hate to fork over all that money lol but I really don't wanna miss out on those ballet feet. I just wish I could get Soom Morga as well but thats a little off-topic for this thread so I'll stop there....

 

I've been dreaming of a big Narae for a long time, so I'm really excited like many here. The photos look so promising! The body seems to be not only beautiful but wonderfully poseable. After seeing all the work and craftmanship going into this work I can well understand the price,though it's really *ouch* >_< I'm actually saving for LDoll now., but, it's Narae! And he estimates shippping within two weeks! And the additional feet! Wow. Maybe, if Bimong could offer layaway, it would be an easier decision for some of us?

BTW, what do you think he means by the paid or free exchange service? Like having parts exchanged that get broken later or so?

 

I agree with everyone here, the price really really hurts :') I was surprised myself, had to convert it and compare with my other dolls and even Fairyland's most expensive SD yet has been so much cheaper x_x

That's what I thought too. I think he means after-sales services, which is excellent. For a price that high, I'd like to get a warranty for it xD

The posing of the body is fantastic, she looks so elegant and graceful! I had such fun stalking his IG yesterday evening, lol! (And I'm really falling for the N 60S head, but can't find a good enough excuse to get it, boo) I sort of wish that he'd posted a few simple shots of her body in a simple standing pose or something, but that's just because I wanted to do a mockup of the body with the head I'd like to put on top.

And going by the measurements on the site, it looks like my girl should be able to keep most of her wardrobe (which isn't much anyway, so it'll be a good excuse to do some sewing!). I am really looking forward to seeing her in person!

Also, did anyone notice that Bimong seems to have modified the central knee part in the later posing images (with the greyish background)? It looks like he flattened out the sides, perhaps, though I could be seeing it wrong.

 

That would explain why the piece looks lighter! It was really bugging me!
And now that you mention it it does look like he removed the little spike thing. Looks better without it tbh

 

So fantastic! I saw the images on flickr and I'm in love, it's beautiful. Now is not the time for me to make such a purchase, and like many of you I too am taken aback by the price, but actually considering the many joints and intricacy of this doll's construction I think it's pretty reasonable. It's about the same price as some of the Volks girls, and Volks bodies are quite simplistic by comparison. And much lower than, say, Popovy Sisters.

I am very, very impressed by the joints. I looove beautiful doll joints, she looks so cool, if I owned her she might just have to be some kind of nymph that never wears clothes because her body is not only gorgeously sculpted but just so badass awesome to look at!

 

Bimong's message said the Dandelion head was free if you bought the head and body, but it is listed at $150. I asked if that was just for those who don't want the N60S head.

 

The new body look amazing! I love bodies that can hold a large range of poses.

 

You guys. I am really nervous and a little embarrassed? I just purchased this new beauty with the N610 head, and I picked the paypal payment option. Now when I finished, I thought it was similar to Fairyland's/Leekeworld's process in which the buyer sends the paypal payment manually. The order confirmation window only had the option for credit card payments, so I closed that and proceeded to send by paypal. This is no big deal since I can explain to Bimong the situation, but after checking my paypal transaction which I made to [email protected], it says it went to MyDolling!! Is this correct? I'm a little freaked out. I am 100% sure I sent to [email protected], I checked it before clicking submit. I know MyDolling was a student of Bimong, so I thought maybe they're sharing an account, but under the email details it still says [email protected] instead of [email protected] which is what makes me freak out even more. I just sent an email to Bimong explaining everything, but until I get a reply I'm a little anxious I'm hoping someone here who frequently orders can clarify this for me.

I have been watching this girl develop on his flickr and I am totally in love. Too bad there is no way I can afford her right now, as I'm going to be moving in 2 months, and am not working much due to school right now.... Ohhh how I wish.

I don't know why the WS is more. But at least he simplified the free Dandelion head offering by giving one to everyone who buys a 58cm body!

 

I'm even more sad to miss the first preorder now that I know I'm also missing the Dandelion head! Damnit.

Also for the WS he said on instagram that tan and white are expensive because there is "a high risk of loss".
I remeber a long time ago some companies didn't offer white at all, so I guess it is more difficult to make than NS! Maybe that depends on the brand of resin though, because a lot of resin cures white. Anyway...

 

That's odd since almost everyone in the industry offers white and does it for the same cost as normal. So when I saw the Dandelion head was free and the nice layaway plan I was seriously thinking of buying this since $850 for a whole doll is more palatable but then the $100 for white takes it right off the table again.

 

Well, it helps a little that you would get free pointe and heel feet but I understand what you are saying. I'm looking at the tan girl plus shipping is like $80+ ... I wish I could get darker tan.

 

Although Bimong says light tan, it is not very light. It is very close to Soom's Bronze.

 

So then like a medium shade of caramel?

 

Hmmm.... I'm not sure I would say caramel, but is a very nice natural tan. I was surprised when I got the head! I wish I could take a comparison picture but I had a hip replacement a week ago and I am not ready to gather all that stuff to take a picture. Maybe in a few days.

I always wanted a 60cm Narae, but the price for this new design is like , if I had more room I would so be all over this.

 

I ordered the body in light tan as I already have the head! He said he would be upgrading the old 60cm body, so that may be a more affordable solution.

 

Is light tan the same as real skin?

 

Light tan is very similar to Soom Bronze.

 

Did you guys see that Bimong is offering his new girl in "cyborg" skin?! It's a light purple with tan joints.

 

I wonder how many people will order this. I saw one person asking for it either on flickr on insta and he said he would add the option. He seems really open to his customers' requests! Fingers crossed that means we can convince him to use the heel feet and ballet feet for more than one pre-order

 

The violet might be fun, but I would want it all one color! And it wouldn't be this pre-order! I have ordered a light tan body and will probably order a NS doll. That's enough to bust me doll budget for months!
