Narae and Narin 60cm Discussion part 2.

I have been waiting - what feels like forever - for the re-release of an SD size Narae and/or Narae! I was SO happy, when I first saw the heads..............but then I figured out that at this point, he is only releasing the heads, without a body. I don't really like Hybrids, they never really work out for me. I am very picky about the resin and proportions of head and body matching perfectly, so I would much prefer, to buy head and body together at the same time. Since I saw your post, I decided to just save my money and wait for next year, when hopefully, he will release the full doll! Thanks again for the information!

 

Glad I could be of assistance. I'm in kind of the same boat - I've been waiting since Bimong cut ties with Dollfair for him to release them in full doll form because I foolishly made the decision to sell my first one, although at the time it seemed like a good decision to make. (French resin tan is a poor choice for a first doll when you don't know how to properly take care of them) I bought a Narin head during the Goodbye Bimong event fearing that the dolls would never be made again but hybriding him has not been successful yet, so now I've just been waiting too.

 

A little bit of Narin spam as I just finished his face-up !
I received him a few weeks ago (very quickly after ordering !). Its is true that his neck make it difficult to find an hybrid !
for the time being he shares my Loongsoul 73cm body because the neck is high enough, but I think the body is too mature/toned for his little face !

 

@Marlequeen it's nice to see another big Bimong boy floating around out there. How is your guy coming along? Did you remedy his body problems and find him something you like better that fits? Has he had any new adventures? I can totally understand how unsettling the soft young faces can be on mature bodies. . . lucky for me I'm pretty fond of that weird aesthetic combo at least sometimes.

Bumping this thread back to life as I'm considering getting the N610 (is it the Charisma head?) but don't know about resin matching or neck specs to hybrid it on another body. Hoping you guys can help!

I know asking for a body with good posing is almost impossible at this point, so I'd like to ask for something at least remotely decent in standing and sitting xD;

Any suggestions with Bimong's new resin and all?

 

N609 (Charisma Narin)
N610 (Mature Narae)

I have my N610 mature Narae on a new Soom Supergem female body and it works well for now. Soom's resin does vary.

I am putting my N609 Charisma Narin on an old Soom Supergem male body. The color match is not as good but the new Supergem body has way too short a neck for the Narin head. Even the old body needs a kip in the neck!

Bimong told me the new 60cm bodies will be available this year.

 

Thank you Nancy! Bimong always says things will be available in the current year though So I'm not sure if this is it or not. I have a good feeling this year would find a release for the 60's somewhat, I hope its sooner than later. Maybe after he finishes up the Narin40 restorations? Let's hope! I think I'll just wait for it then!

 

Yes, I'm waiting on Bimong for permanent bodies! They just get to borrow bodies from other dolls I have for now. I'm still happy I got the heads with the Red_Kun faceups!

Looks like progress is speeding up! I thought Bimong would be re-sculpting the entire body, but he's just doing modifications I think.

Well, there seems to be more progress coming along. It looks like Bimong is making this body to have more pose-ability, just like his 40cm Meronica.

I don't know how I feel about the two part torso. I usually prefer two parts over one all the time but to me this kinda looks a little too bulky and... weird? I dunno. I'm still gonna get the body for sure, but I'm gonna have to wait and trust Bimong with this. I hope it is later more refined and slender when more progress is done ^^

 

I'm sure he will smooth it out!

 

Hi there Narae and Narin fans, as someone who knows very little about this company and has recently fallen for Narin N609/Charisma, do any of you know why only NS heads can be ordered from the site right now even though there are four resin colors displayed on the page? Are the WS and tan only available at certain periods, or are they maybe retired altogether?

 

Art-Bimong actually has resin in in stock and ready to ship in days. I haven't seen him offer any white skin dolls and I think he is not planning to offer Tan A or Tan B dolls again. I would imagine that the real skin will be offered when the new body is ready for him.

 

Oh, I see. I saw WS resin pictured on this product page and thought it might be available at certain times or be retired (in which case i'd need to go look secondhand), but if this head was only ever available in NS then i'll make do with that. Thank you!

 

He's going to be making a waist-joint only version as well, if you don't like that one.

He's only selling in-stock dolls at the moment, so that's why there are no options to be chosen. If you subrscibe to his mailing list you will get notifications when he puts up other colours, which is from time to time. You can always send him a message and ask for a certain colour and see what he says. He might make a personal order for you.

Bimong's dolls were produced by several companies prior to his taking over the production himself. The latest was D-Storic and their ivory resin is quite pale. It is possible that he will offer white skin in the future. It never hurts to ask!

 

Reviving this thread again to say Bimong is working on the Narae60 N6OS head ^^

Also, for those who own the Narae Narin 60's, which size wig do they wear? I know the Narae40s run a little smaller than other MSDs, is it the same with the N60s?

 

just saw the new narae head and its making me question a choice i made for one of my characters! anyone know what matches the normal skin resin they use? or any idea what bodies these heads work on? the circumference is so small, but the neck hole seems large. i assume 58cm bodies would work best?

 

I have my N610 sharing a blushed Supergem new body. But Soom's color varies and I haven't found a good body for Narin! I am hoping that Bimong releases the new body soon!

 

thanks guys, my issue though is i'd be making it into a boy. i have a withdoll swd body in normal skin i am going to sand the breasts off of. right now im using it for a sooah head, but the head is a bit too big for the body. i'm not sure if the narae head would be too small instead.

 

maybe i could wait until he makes a boy body to decide, and for people to get this head on hand. are the narae heads / faceplates able to fit on narin bodies / head backs?

 

@Botflybaby Well...maybe this can help with the colour question. I have Dandelion in normal (ordered this year). I tried that head on my Dollstown 15boy body and surprisingly that little head works on that body. My DT15 is freshskin. But my Dandelion matches Granado, Spiritdoll, Switch, Aprilstory normal. So I imagine that Dollstown oriental might match pretty well since those companies tend to match with DT oriental. I'll post a link here to get an idea of what a hybrid with the small N60s head might look like on a boy body (Dandelion is also a 7/8).

On a side note...I am so excited for this new girl. I'd really love to get her in tan...but can't decide. She's so gorgeous.

 

Which head are you thinking of? Are you looking for a more realistic head/body proportion? Bimong has posted info on the new male body and I believe he listed it as 65 cm, so taller than the old one.

The Dandelion head was available in Normal A (his usual KR normal) and Normal B which is yellower.

 

The male body he was working on a few years back was listed as 67cm, if I recall correctly. No idea if that's the one he's currently looking to go forward with, though, as he appeared to make the decision to completely redo the Narae body in the years since posting this picture: worktable

Either way, I'm very excited to see his new Narae60 body completed, and the boy body whenever he gets back around to it, as well.

 

Yes, that was before he did Meronica. The new body looks a lot more like Meronica's. It will be fun to see what he does with the Narin body!

It's my first time visiting this thread, but I just thought I'd add my excitement over the new Narae body. I have been watching Bimong's work on her, and I'm so very in love! It looks so expressive, and the jointing is really fascinating!

 

Have you seen the pointe feet?

 

Apparently the feet will be a gift for the first preorder. I hope we will still be able to purchase them later!

 

He better offer her in light tan! I already have the head! It isn't very light though. It is very close to Soom's bronze.

The way he's done the knee area is really interesting. She looks like she'll be so much fun to pose and play with.

I am planning to hybrid the body with one of my girls, though I do like some of the Narae sculpts (Mature Narae in particular). I'm sure I'll have some trouble with the resin matching, but if I like this body as much as I think I will, I'll find some way to make it work!

 

It really is a pretty color! I just expected light tan to be a little lighter! Each company has it's own definition of tans.

 

Yes, Soom's bronze is a bit darker than tawny.

Oh my god, you guys!! Bimong said he's planning to start taking order "next wednesday to friday" :O I don't know if that means tomorrow or next week, but it's very close!

 

I would like next week at the earliest. It's just ready to go the factory! Masters ans molds need to be made and tested, etc.

Yup, and he also said this doll would be a pre-order instead of in stock.

I'm so confused about the feet though! He said they are gift parts and I asked if it would be possible to purchase them later and he said "homepage's menu and sale system will be changed from second pre-order. And gift parts are not for sale"
Does it mean they won't be for sale separately or that they are only available for the first preorder? I really want those ballet feet, but I don't think I can join the first pre-order
