I am quite impressed with the quality of these dolls; the sculpts really are lovely. Hubby and I have plans to order a couple in the next few weeks. I fell hard for Lillian, she has such a sweet face.

 

So am I. I cant decide her and Natalia

I am thinking of going for Caroline. She is perfect for the character of Elsa from Frozen don't you think?

 

I just ordered myself a Victor (in the pink skin) and I'm so excited! Mystic Kids' dolls look really amazing.

And I think Caroline would make a really adorable Elsa, aphtaiwan.

This is a photo of when I was measuring him for some clothes. Here's the end result of that project:



Nice posing! The shoes are from 5 Star Doll and they fit quite nicely, as the sneakers are unisex and 5 Star feet tend to be bigger on girls, as well.

I've done a photoshoot with him and my other MSD (Edit: posted here), and I'd love to do more soon. Thinking about bringing him to the next con I attend, too!

 

I think all MK boys could be pretty if they're girls. I am thinking of a Gene or Illy

 

Tiella - I recently purchased Lillian. She is absolutely lovely - I got her without the mole. She has been in her box because I cannot keep her - she'll be posted soon, but if you're interested in getting her from me, let me know. I'm happy to post photos.

 

I'm finally waiting for Lillian! She should arrive next week.

 

I'm ordering Lillian on Monday I'm so excited! I'm ordering from Alice and this is what I'm saying in the order request thing: "If possible, could there be more colour on the lips and NO birthmark? Just a little bit more colour because it seems like towards the lip line there is no colour. If Mystic Kids can not do that it is okay." I personally think that her lips seem to lack a bit of colour with the manufacturer's faceup, and I'm hoping they can add some for me ^_^

 

I asked Alice if they can remove her beauty mark on and she said yes.
Alice is very nice, I was thinking of ordering a Mystic Kids Gene girl. He does look good if she was a girl...based on the company pictures.

I was eyeing MK mini lately (while waiting for other doll) and they have cute sculpts that I love. I'd wonder of hybridizing them, especially MK resin color match. Seems there is no comparison thread nor owner database thread either

I spontaneously ordered her last week, all these New Years events going on made me feverish for a new girl to have at home! I've been eyeing her off for a while and everyone's photos and comments completely convinced me on her. I can't wait for her to get here, she'll be my first MSD~

 

Not enough love for Sean, I find. He's on the more mature looking side and he is absolutely gorgeous! I ordered him fullset from Alice but his clothes were unavailable so I picked Francis' clothes and the quality is great! Love MK's fullsets

Wah! Happy to find this thread! In some late night surfing a few days ago I came across Mystic Kids Gene and fell so incredibly in love with him! He can't be my next, I'm saving for something else but he's so high on my list now!

 

I Love this boy! First time I want him too! Its so cute.

 

My Lillian arrived last week!. She's very pretty. I hope I can take photos of her this weekend.
I ordered her in pink skin. I have a normal skin minifee at home and the color is very different (MK is pinkier and paler than MNF).

 

I'm thinking of buying a Lillian too. She would be a friend to my Soulkid Liddell. The only problem I have is if they look ok together. That no one has an odd bigger head or something next to the other one. But the wig size seems to be almost the same.. with Soulkid a slightly big 7 (mine has a 6-7 monique roxy on...fits really snug but does fit) and Mystic kids a 7-8 wig size I think theres no problem, right? And I am not toally sure about the MK MSD body... I think up front it looks really good (love her tummy) but side ways...I miss some curves on the thighs and lower legs..
A friend of mine said I might do a hybrid but then I'd have to find out if there is a resin match... So theres my only real doubt about her XD
And as i'm concidering I really love to see owner pics! So please...spam me! XD

Y'all talking about small heads... totally true. I ordered his wig before I got him and I was really annoyed that it was too small for all my other Minis even though it was 7-8. But when he arrived, the wig fitted him perfectly xD! So it was fine in the end.

I think it depends on the wig really, because they do fit a 7-8 but it's not as snug as other mini dolls, maybe.

 

My Francis wears a 7-8, but it's a bit loose. I use a silicon wig cap and it fits pretty well with it.

 

So that concludes they both can wear 6/7 and 7/8 inch wigs

 

I think wig size depends a lot on manufacturer too - I've had 7-8 wigs which were ridiculously small, and also wigs the same size which fitted SD size dolls - it's a bit of a gamble with wigs I think, ideally you want a box full of them to try for size and style, on every new doll, because they make such a big difference to the look of a doll!

 

This is totally true.
I've had a 7-8 that was huge on one of my girls (and it was her full set wig), and I've also had wigs that seemed to run a bit small.
For My Doll wigs seem to be pretty consistent.

 

Thought to share a photo of my MK 1/4 Gene I used 7-8 wig on him.
I was surprised how small his head was (in a good way) Will be ordering Lillian too as I think MK have great head/body proportion.

 

I will order a Gene girl and I wanted to know if it can be proportioned

 

I want to do this too!! I love Francis...but I think he would be a very pretty girl I don't think I will be able to resist ordering him for much longer!

Yeah I reckon so! I find with the smaller dolls, they're all quite androgynous and a face-up can really change the look of the doll~~

I think all MK dolls are adorable totally hooked to the company now.. Hopefully they will release more dolls

 

I think you will be fine aphtaiwan. All of MK 1/4 boy and girl heads seems to be 17.5CM Circumference with 7cm necks (just looked from the website) so mixing shouldn't be a problem at all.. Do double check tho

 

Do they happen to fit clothes from nine9 style and Dollmore or Amor clothes?

 

I cant tell about those brands as I mostly buy unbranded clothing, the only thing that I found problematic is finding Jeans as they do not stretch (get stuck on bum part, will attempt to find small sized SD jeans or ask for measurements before buying) as well as pants might be just a tik short, not by match tho.
anything stretchy seem to be fine as MK are just a tik on the bigger (taller) side.
There are sellers who post measurement of their clothings and you can always try to ask for measurements if you are not quite sure. Other than that so far all msd clothes I bought fit my MK boy quite fine.

I am thinking of ordering a Gene Head for a LoongSoul Girl body. Because I love Gene's mature looking face and I love how well the LoongSoul body poses. Do you think they will be compatible?

I finally got Julius his wig and clothes. Just for reference for anyone else, TTYAdoll is a good place to look for shirts (not sure if anyone said that already). His pants are a bit too short, but that's as expected.

Julius looks great in a blue wig! I have trouble picturing dolls in fantasy colors and I never would have considered that color.

I love the bathing suit you made for your Evelyn, tonarinoEffy. She looks really great in all those curls, too. I second more Evelyn spam - Mystic Kids girls are great.

 

My Francis came in yesterday and I am besotted with him. I have named him Bram. My husband and our three year old daughter keep stroking his legs, the resin is SO smooth! I did a box opening and a body review on my youtube page which is linked in my signature =)
