I'm so glad that means MK is getting more and more attention
Anyway, today I took my boys out for some photo-shooting (after such a long time being neglected ) and Haku wanted to say hello to you guys

 

Oh he is so handsome! I love his little manga!

Adorable! Cool manga. What does his shirt say? (I think I see some Japanese characters on it but may be mistaken.)

 

@PeppermintPocky, thanks! Yes, I've made the crown myself, it's from thin wire, aluminium I think. They sell it here in different colors. Easy to model since it's quite flexible, but those cut ends are worse than needles, pricked my fingers all over.

I have a Victor, too. Really need to take some photos of him. Its just he doesn't have a decent pair of pants to wear yet, and he refuses to pose for photos until he's properly attired. He's kind of a Diva.

Muharuka, your boy looks so great in his leather jacket and jeans. Mind if I ask where you got his jeans? Do they fit him well?

 

@Rabbit-moon thanks! And I so can relate to that being a diva part. Mine is a boy from a wealthy family. And somewhat grumpy at me, because it's been a while and I still haven't made or bought him clothes in an appropriate style. He's into shirts, suits and that kind of stuff.

 

LOL! Yeah, Victor is kind of a haughty sculpt. But, I should think the crown made him happy. Its pretty cool!

 

@PeppermintPocky: it says コ-ヒー and 牛乳 which means coffee and milk. All the boys in my house have that and I'm gonna buy one for me too so we can have a family shoot
@Rabbit-moon: it fits perfectly I got it from taobao. If you have no problem buying from taobao I will try to find the shop for you (it's a long time ago so I kind of forgot the shop name).
I don't buy things from ebay or etsy so not so sure but clothes from taobao always fit this boy quite well (thank god!)

@Fantastic dolls, OMG your Lillian is gorgeous! Her face-up is so unique. She doesn't even look like a Lillian!

 

Thank you so much! I really loved Lillian's face sculpt, but I wasn't too fond of her stock faceup so I got a new one commissioned. I'm really glad you like her.

 

@Fantastic dolls agree with SaelaVe, her face-up makes her look very unique and different from other Lillians. Which is great! And she has a cute outfit, lovely fabrics.

Jolene recently got a new wig and new eyes—and I got a new camera which, you know, actually captures the details in her face.
I think that I can officially call this character complete. I'm very happy with this look for her. Now I can begin to focus more heavily on her wardrobe.

Hi. Does anyone knows which jointed hands are a suitable match for the MK dolls? My options are Doll Family-H and Doll Legend. Not sure which would fit best

 

I used to own a pair of Doll Family jointed hands, and despite how cool they are I'm 95% certain they would be waaaay too large for Mystic Kids proportion-wise. I doubt the wrist joint would even fit inside a MK's arm.

I have no experience with Doll Legend jointed hands, though. Hopefully someone else can pop in and help you.

I have a mystic kids lillian and i love her!!! I feel like no one in the doll world really cares about mystic kids dolls and I don't understand why!
Here is my lillian with yellow eyes in, she normally wears brown eyes though

Can anyone show me an MK girl with 12mm eyes?

 

My Lillian used to wear 12mm before I swapped her back to 14mm. Please pardon the old photo:

Hmm. Those look pretty good.
I'm trying to decide if Jolene looks a tad too young and if a pair of 12mm eyes might help to mature her a bit.

 

I try my best.

IMO 12mm eyes def' adds some maturity to the Lillian sculpt. The main reason I switched back to 14mm is I am a bit persnickety and prefer my girls to have larger irises compared to my mini boys (most wear 12mm).

I think on payday I'll drop some money in PayPal and pick her up a new pair.

 

Poppin' in here to share my girl's new boots.... I FINALLY found a pair that fit, and fit great!



For anyone wondering, these are made for Tonner's Matt O'Neill. They are a little snug, but that's 100x better than loose and bulky, IMO... which has been every pair of boots made for 1/4 I've tried before now. I don't know if they would fit the boy Mystic Kids body, though.

Anyway, I hope this helps anyone looking for a form-fitting pair of shoes for their MK girl!

 

@PeppermintPocky Oh I'm loving the shoes! They look so cute! I hate when shoes look so bulky on your doll even though they were supposedly made for that particular size But yours here look great!

Thank you! Your Lillian is a sweetie... you should post a photo of her here so everyone can fawn over her. I'm waiting on a new dress for my girl. Once it arrives, I'll snap a photo of her. (Yep, pairing a dress with boots---bringing back the '90s, lol.)

I struggled with that wig for probably 40 minutes before the shoot to get it to look just right, so I'm glad to know that it was worth it. lol

I just ordered a Mystic Kids Evelyn today from Alices Collections. Pretty excited, I have wanted one for a really long time. How long did it take for some of you to get your dolls? Just curious.

 

@taribulovesyou, it took me almost exactly a month to receive my Evelyn! Very short wait time compared to most other companies.

 

That makes me so excited!! Who did you get her through?

I'm looking forward to buying MK Lillian. I keep telling myself I've gotta save up for the next few months but I'm not sure I can wait! I kind of liked her but then I saw someone unbox her and literally gasped! Her factory faceup looks brighter in person I think. I'm a bit concerned about getting the faceup with the mole though. I really want it but I'm not sure how to make sure that's the one I get.

 

ahhhh her freckles are so stunning!! I'm totally putting freckles on my Lillian when I can!

 

I purchased my Lillian with face-up via the JunkySpot and she didn't arrive with the beauty mark... but I think that's specific to the JunkySpot (unless you request "without" elsewhere). This is a note on her listing at JS:

Note: The JunkySpot version faceup of this dolls differs from the manufacturer's default faceup in that the JunkySpot version faceup does not come with the beauty mark under the doll's lip.

So I'd recommend ordering your girl via Alice's Collections. You could always send AC an email at the time of your order, just to stress your face-up preference. They are super nice there!

aaaah, Mystic Kids' 1/4 attracted my attention, I actually wanted to order Francis but unfortunately(or fortunately) my doll agent recommended me to take DollZone Scarecrow Hal ;v; I'm planning on buying a secondhand version of Francis in the near future--hopefully. uwu

 

All this talk about incoming minis inspired me to snap a photo of my Missy (MK Lillian) for her doll profile.



I'm planning another photoshoot with her soon (so she can show off her entire Care Bear collection), but I need to track down some better wallpaper, first. I'm not a fan of this yellow because it's difficult for me to photograph.

 

Oh I love her look!! Can I ask who did her faceup? It looks so natural ^^
