Have you checked on one of the China tracking:sites? I don't think Alice's ships anything by boat but they do ship little dolls by Air Mail, which can be slow. Don't be afraid to ask them to check on the package! Some times they can see more. And USPS will frequently not have admit having a package until they have time to process it!
I tried the tracking site they suggest and it says the same thing. They do say on Alice’s that air mail could take up to 2 months so I’ll wait until then before I ask them to check on it.
Hello guys, I am keeping an eye on the single jointed body (30cm) recently, but I have heard that their upper body tend to lean backwards when you but them in a sitting position because there are no locks?
hey all! I got a Delia 30cm recently and I just LOVE her. I got her from The junky Spot, she came with a free wig! I've had a har time finding bottoms that fit her. I wanted her to be a tomboy and wear pants but so far I only have one pair of leggings that fit her and they're pretty tight. Oddly enough there are some 14" doll tops and jackets that fit her really well. One pair of 14" doll leggings fit her but loose like PJ bottoms. Anybody know of any jeans that would fit her? I've been looking like craaazy. Here is. an IG link to some pics I took.
@kittydorkdork The 30cm body fits slim msd bottoms well. Mine often wears minifee short overalls. Or the 1/4 bottoms by rRabbir have elastic along only the back of the waist so those are probably the best fitting bottoms I've found. Any slim msd pants will of course be long but you can hem them shorter or try to find long shorts or capris but even those have no guarantee of being the correct length. For 14" doll clothes, slim msd can wear stuff like Wellie Wishers clothes which are 14" dolls so that make sense that some would fit the 30cm Myou too. The 14" doll lines are just shorter than slim msd.
So I am pondering what sort of eyes I can put into my Reid and Vieruodis. ACBJD says they take 9mm eyes...I wonder if they can also take 8mm? I fear the looking too small and 10 mm being too big for their eyewells. I tend to buy resin flatback eyes.
Please I would love to see a photo with an Atelier Momoni. I have been looking at them and trying to decide between Gina and Bettina but I would like to see them side by side with a Pitusa. I am also struggling with whether to get coffee or tan skin if I do get one. It is so hard to tell from photos what it will be like in person. I love the 1/6th scale dolls so much and they look like they will fit all the clothes and shoes I have for my Pitusas and I am always looking for more 1/6th dolls that are good posers. My Pitusas are the best posers I have ever had but I would like some different style dolls and not quite sure if I should take the plunge on one of these.
I'll share mine! Please excuse my Momonita for being half-customized and also a cryptid who doesn't want to appear clearly on camera. Momonita does have a bigger face & head and is a bit more stylized, but I think they still look cohesive together. I think they would even more so if my Momonita wasn't so... creepy? So far they are fitting mostly the same clothes, they have different body shapes but quite close in size, I have the large bust Myou doll and she is more top heavy whereas Momonita is very much a pear shape. So Momonita can wear Rainbow High tops but Veiruodis doesn't fit them, they both can wear Barbie skirts, their feet are almost identical size but I don't have commercial shoes for either of them yet. Momonita has a greater range of motion, but I would say both are very good at posing. Veiruodis is kinda kicky in the legs but once she agrees to stand she is very solid. If there's a particular pose you are interested in let me know and I'll compare it. Momonita's joints are more peanut-y, so she has squiggly arms even when they are straight down. Veiruodis has joints that are very flush when straight, so when they bend there is a raised part visible. I'm undecided on which joint style I like better, personally. Veiruodis has super smooth resin, Momonita's is a bit more eggshell finish which I think I prefer. Idk how to rate the quality of resin tbh but they are pretty different in price so you can probably draw a conclusion there. Oh this is the coffee color from Myou btw! I think it's super lovely, light-medium tan is my favorite color range to do faceups on and I think it shows the details of the sculpt really nicely (compared to mochi white which is totally washed out both in photos and irl >_> I have some regrets lol) ETA: @jessholy Veiruodis is wearing 7mm low dome eyes in these photos if that helps! She came with 9mm small iris eyes included when I bought her blank
Continued... more Momonita vs. Myou Veiruodis (Spoiler for doll nudity below) Spoiler: Body comparison
@eldi Thank you! I am contemplating buying them some new eyes while I wait on them (ACBJD already has them, I just need to pay them off). I am digging that Barbie outfit...I might have to scour ebay for more historical Barbie clothes...>x>
Thank you so much for these!! This is super helpful. I have a Mochi mini Reira that has the Momonita body so seeing the bodies and skin tones together gives me a good idea of scale and color as well. I was undecided between tan and coffee but this reference has helped me to decide on color. I am still undecided overall though. I have bought a lot of dolls lately that once I got them I was just eh about them and had to sell them. I have been watching videos and trying to find pictures in all different lighting etc.
After being stuck in shipping Rourou finally arrived, I ordered with a girl body but I’m not sure what her character will be yet. I have her in a temporary outfit and wig I think but I’m working on an idea of a character that is not human inspired by her unusual eyes. I love how posable she is and the coffee skin tone is really pretty. Box opening here : /threads/myou-rourou-finally-arrived.849465/
@NineOneThree: She's adorable, my RouRou came with those eyes too, which I changed. Looking forward to seeing what you do with her!
It’s funny I’m thinking of making her non human when she’s more realistic looking than most of my others this size. Things may change, we’ll see who she becomes.
For the 30 cm dolls, I have some Tonner Ellowyne Wilde leggings that fit ok. I also have jeans from that Barbie size doll with normal proportions, whose name I can't remember. They look kind of dorky, which is something I like for my doll. The slim 27 cm size can wear Tonner Tyler shoes. Since the ankles are very flexible, there is no problem with fitting the flat foot into the high heels. They also can wear the12" Marley shoes and the Nu Mood flat foot Tonner shoes.
omg. I was messing around and managed to force TTYA overalls over 30cm Delia's hips! They fit! and by fit I mean "fit". She can't sit right but the more pants I get for my dolls the more I'm realizing how often it happens. 721615CA-C170-4DC4-AD1C-20A2F7EB7723_1_105_c by charlie, on Flickr[/IMG]
Hello everyone! My Bettina arrived yesterday from Junky Spot and I'm so enchanted! Still workshopping names. She's a flower fairy so she needs an appropriate name. And I'm not 100% sold on this wig yet, but we'll see. I'm already considering getting her a little boyfriend, but I can't decide between Rod or Alan...
Aww she's sweet! I got Gina yesterday, also from the JunkySpot. I haven't even began to figure out what to name her lol. She's been fun to play with and try different things on her. I found that looser Blythe tops can fit, as well as some Rainbow High bottoms and Barbie Extra stuff.
I moved recently so most of my doll stuff is still in boxes, but I dug this one out so she'd have something to wear, I went to Target yesterday but none of the dolls or clothes available fit her style at all. The dress my girl is wearing is vintage Barbie, and it's actually a bit loose in the chest, which surprised me. But it's also old and ripped along one seam and likes to slip down and be crooked so she always seems to be in danger of popping out of it.
@Featherfire You're making me anxious dance for my dolls to come in. I didn't order from Junky Spot though - I did ACBJD. I'm glad vintage Barbie can fit! I have plenty of those!
I'm terrible at this hobby, I hate waiting. So I always order in-stock dolls if possible! So before I bought my doll, I asked if the big bust body still fit Barbie clothes. I was told they fit Ken clothes and clothes for "curvy" Barbie better, so I bought a dress for curvy Barbie. IT WAS A LIE (please excuse my messy desk)
Only my broadest-shouldered mature tiny doesn't look swamped by standard Barbie clothes. I'm not surprised "curvy" clothes are over sized. They did not give you good advice on clothes! I'd like a Veriodus eventually, though I'm waiting on two other mature tinies right now.
Oh wow that dress is definitely too big! I tend to stick to the standard Barbie sizes on my other mature minis...I will have to see how they look on my Myous!
My Myou Vieruodis and Reid are here! I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make them stand but they certainly like to do a variety of sitty/kneeling poses! Wranging their shoes on was...interesting...I will try to post photos in the next few days!
Well I'm glad it's not just me who can't get them to stand. My girl is super kicky and her hips spin around in their sockets, getting her to stand is always a battle. Shoes might help, I need to order some!
The shoes they came with do not help so far. They are kicky - lots of knees buckling. Should I string them tighter?
Is that from one of the Barbie extras? I tried it on my Gina and yeah it was oversized but also it fits retty loosly on the Barbie too, and there is something layered under it. But Barbie curvy bottoms defiantly do not fit.
Here's my Gina with the large bust and coffee skin! Her wig got here yesterday and I'm not excited about it. It a 4/5 Leekeworld but it fits too big, even with a wig cap. I am shopping around for a hat for her but I might just make her one. Or I can try getting a different wig. For now she's wearing fishnets and top from Barbie Extra #2. It's a bit tight but would be a great fit on a smaller bust. The shorts are from Rainbow High and they fit great! Except she can't sit super well lol. Barbie Extra #1'st top, bottom and jacket fit her amazingly well! The shorts were a bit snug to get on though. The jacket seems to swallow her more than Barbie but it wooorks? I think Barbie Extra #1's body is the tall type? I also tried on a bunch of Blythe clothes. None of the fit 'n flare type dresses fit at all but a loose sack-type dress fit nicely and looked like a cozy nightgown. Also, a sweater I knit for Blythe fit so I'll be be making her some sweaters I'm sure. Shoes look like they'll be the hardest to find. I've heard Ken shoes fit. I saw someone on YT put Rainbow High heel shoes on her doll. When I tried it I broke a nail and the fit was Not Great. I think I found some others that might fit but didn't order them and I forget where I found them so I gotta go looking again.
Ah, yeah, I checked my purchases and it is Barbie Extra #2. And the listing even shows it on a Barbie and obviously fits loosely, yikes. Way to pay attention, me. Mine is wearing a Monique Gold 4/5 and it fits fairly well with a silicone cap. Monique closed (so sad) but there are still plenty of their wigs on ebay and etsy. I've heard shoes are difficult to find. Luckily for me I can explain that away... fairies don't need to wear shoes.
The 27cm dolls can wear Tonner shoes, very easy to find. Their flexible ankles mean they can fit into the high heels easily. I have a Gina with the small bust, and regular Barbie tops are loose. Gathered skirts are fine, but she has normally proportioned hips, so no Barbie bottoms fit. Also her legs are longer. I do have several Barbie dresses, where I took in the bodice a little, and they are very cute.
I totally get the attention thing. I call those mistakes my ADHD tax :-( I've been looking at Monique Gold wigs, maybe I'll try one, thanks for the suggestion! Whenever I get a doll that I can't find shoes I like for I always think.... "well you could always be a fairy" lol
@Chraurelius I also got overwhelmed when diving into the Tonner google pool! Monique wigs can be hit or miss - I have to try some on them that I had bought for my Soom Mini Gems.
Same! Tonner is a whole other culture that I do not understand. The shoes look really nice, though! I did buy some Barbie stockings (Swan Lake? I think?) and they definitely do not fit! Too short, don't go over her butt. I once did an entire choir competition with stockings that fit like that and it was not fun!
There's a toy line called Real Littles that makes small items that are like detailed such as backpacks. They have one called Real Littles Shoes. I do not have a Myou slim 1/6 but has anyone been able to try these shoes on one? I used to have an AE slim 1/6 and she could wear those shoes, so I wonder if the Myou can too. I wanna get a slim 1/6 Myou some day and would probably get a male sculpt.
I have a ton of these. Atelier Momoni pitusa dolls have the same size feet at the Myou girls and the real little shoes do fit, however, you do have to cut the backs and warm them up so they are more pliable to get them off and on. Here is a picture of my girls wearing a few different pairs (pics under the spoiler) Spoiler
Oh cool! Makes me happy for having kept those shoes. And yeah for the AE slim 1/6 I had, I also had to cut a slit in the backs of the shoes. Didn't have to heat them up though. Looks like the male Myou sculpts have the same size feet as the females too.
I just bought a Bettina from Junky Spot. I've been wanting a mature tginy for awhile and the sale going on Was just the right enticement, a present to myself.
I have two of Myou's mature tinies- both boys- and the shoes could probably be forced on if warmed up to be pliable and a strip cut out of the back. They'd be very hard to remove, though. I thought the same thing and tried it on my Alan, but I was too scared to force them on. I change his clothes way too often to put shoes on him that would be difficult to remove.
They are definitely hard to get off if you don't warm them up. I usually just wrap my hand around them and kind of squeeze around and they come off ok at that point. I cut the backs on all mine and even a hairdryer if all else fails works like a charm. I was worried when I used the hightops but even those I had no issue getting off of them.
Ok, I've been eyeing Gina for, like, a year, and I just saw a Bettina with an awesome faceup and I'm now torn. (I would totally do Vieruodis, but my BJD control policy has a strict rule about fantasy dolls.) I think I want to take the plung since Alice's Collections has the 15% off right now...could I see some pictures of your pretty mature tinies?
I received my Bettina yesterday and opened her today. I love her tiny features, she poses great and is lovely. She came with pale lavender/pink eyes, not my favorite, but ordered other eyes for her, fingers crossed that I will like them/fit. I have 2 Monique wigs size 4-5 and both a tad big. One style was too juvenile, the other wasn't too bad with blonde curls, so I took a dart in the back and it will do for now. I ordered 2 other wigs to try out, one smaller thinking I could always slash. I will eventually make a hard cap wig as I think that will suit her best. I always go for long hair styles but maybe short would be better and not overwhelm her tiny body. She fit in some of my 12 inch fashion doll clothes I had made for an off topic dolls that I have. She has a pair of Ken loafers currently. She is pretty rag tag, but will remedy that after the holidays. I wasted a whole day of work now fiddling around with her, so she is now on a shelf.
Hi there! I have a question regarding the 1/8 bodies: do their elbow and knee joints really work as double-jointed? Can they bend their arms and legs more than 90 degrees? Thanks!
@Apokripha Honestly, not really. 90° is probably the most they can bend. They're very much style over function. On such a small scale I personally don't mind but you're not gonna get any elaborate poses out of them.
Thanks for pointing out the wig size; I've been hunting for a good one, and wasn't sure what size I should look for.
Howdy! I'm seriously considering buying one of these (probably Bettina). I just wanted to put in a plug for Parabox wigs. Insanely exact measurements (3.5 cm, 4 cm, 4.5 cm, 5 cm, etc.), and DHL shipping, so they arrive fast (at least to the US). Plus, the wigs are a combo of nylon and elastic, so they're a good, snug fit.
I received my MyouDoll TangTang as a full set, and of course the appropriately-sized wig came along with her as a result. However, it doesn't seem to stay on no matter how hard I try. I'm assuming I'll need a wig cap if my next attempts don't work, but it stands out to me that neither my IBG/B&G Loretta Boy nor my Luts Gretel needed wig caps to keep their hair on. Do MyouDolls' sculpts differ in this regard?
I just ordered my Gina in coffee from New Clover-Singing, and I am so excited!! I've already named her Marmalade, and started ordering her clothes. I'm planning on making her an orange wig, though I'm not sure how it will work with the coffee tone.
Yay Kateryu! She sounds lovely. I just ordered Vieruodis from Junky spot and I literally can't wait! I've already started her dollhouse/diorama
Yes, I actually acquired an old kidkraft wooden dollhouse a few months ago. Its for barbie sized dolls. I painted over the pink furniture covered walls and the roof to make it more neutral/realistic. I haven't taken any pictures yet but I might start a project journal or something when I do
