MYou tinies discussion - Part 2

Barbie clothes are pretty good but tight and/or short skirts are a problem. She also shares Blythe tops (eta: specifically tshirts) with some of my littler ones. Blythe shoes are way too small, rainbow high shoes can squeeze on but they are very high heeled so it looks kinda weird, I'm on the hunt for working shoes still!

 

@Cap'n Thanks so much! I'll definitely check out Creatable World clothes. Are there shoes from anywhere else you've had good luck with?

I came to stalk this thread so I can can see what I’m in for since I ordered little Rourou today. I asked on Alice’s if I can’t get a girl body and they said it was no problem so she’ll be joining my other 1/8 tinies!

 

I got my male Vieruodis the other day and I love him! I've named him Ailwyn and he's a wizard that utilizes magic found in the stars. He also studies astrology and tarot.

Spoiler: "Princesses don't marry lowly wizards."

He was a court wizard and ended up in a romantic relationship with a royal. They traveled all over but when she was killed, the murder was wrongly placed on him. Now he continues to travel, no longer welcomed and hunted by his own country. Her memory is the only thing that keeps him going in that they had wanted to see the world together.

His fondest keepsake of her is a music box she gave him that plays a song she used to play often on the piano. He gets very little sleep as he's constantly on edge for fear of being hunted, but he keeps a smile on his face. For her.

I made his outfit myself aside from his pants and shoes. The Disney Prince doll shoes fit pretty well, just big around the calves.

He's become my latest obsession and he may end up taking over my diorama plans that I've had going for a little while already... Right now I've got a small one that's just a fake book (lore wise, I'm saying that this book is kind of like the T.A.R.D.I.S.) but I'd like to make some bigger rooms for him and Faer.

 

My Bettina shipped! I'm not ready!! Omg, I feel like I just ordered her last week but it had been almost two months. Super fast. She will arrive next week. I'm going to spend this weekend sewing for her.

 

Hello I forgot to post here that I ordered a Myou Alan from Alice’s Collections. And now, he’s home

He’s bald as of the moment. I should’ve ordered the fullset or at least the wig. Hehe. Anyway, here’s his unboxing:

 

The girl mature yos, or whatever you want to call them, can wear Tonner Tyler Wentworth shoes. These are high heeled, but look fine, due to the flexible ankle joints. For flats, Tonner 12" Marley shoes work. You have to be careful with the shoe width, so a Ruby Red shoe is too wide and makes the doll look childish. EBay is a good source.

I found some very cute Barbie outfits I wanted to buy for my incoming girl but I did not realize there were so many different sizes and shapes of Barbie now! They want me to pick which Barbie to make it for. Does anyone know which Barbie type works the best for the mature girls?

 

I have achieved a tiny friend! I'm now trying to track down hair for him, I underestimated how tiny his head would be!

So, the shoes that I ordered for TangTang did not fit, despite being the proper dimensions. Just couldn't get her foot in. Anyone have a good resource for shoes for her? Perhaps with a few options? I need a pair of boots, but others like flats would be nice too. I don't want to have to make them XD

I have my TangTang in Blythe shoe. They're a little bulky but fit so I'm not complaining too much.

 

Well, I ordered a pair of Blythe shoes last night. I hope they fit when they get here! Now I just need to make her something to match =P

I also use Ken’s shoes for both my Myou mature tinies I also use that one tagged as 1/6 lace up rubber canvas shoes. I like how realistic it looks.

 

dollnonymous cool and try to see if you can get barbie outfit's in different sizes (buy one of each) to see if they fit then whatever one fits go with that.

I heard that blythe clothes fit.

 

Blythe tops will fit, not bottoms. I personally bought 1/6 action figure clothes and they've all fit great so far !

 

Hello! I'm contemplating getting a Vieruodis and a Reid. I really love their sculpts. I was wondering what you thought of their default face ups. Was it easy to ask Myou Doll to shorten the lower eyelashes? Do they offer lay away? I know ACBJD does but I also heard it is super easy to communicate with Myou Doll directly. I also own Soom Minigem Faeries - does anyone own both and can show me how they look side by side? Thank you so much! I loved looking at all the photos here!

 

Their default faceup is quite decent and detailed, though mine got damaged when I tried to remove the eyelashes by simply dabbing water on them (some blushing went when I dabbed a coton tip on the eyes too, which felt odd), so I don't know if mine wasn't sealed properly or something...
I was told that they do NOT do custom/modified faceups though (I ordered through Clover Singing and had her ask them to not add the eyelashes, and they would not take the request, which led to the unfortunate event of me removing them and damaging his faceup.)

 

@Shin__ That's interesting - someone else in this thread was able to request a faceup change and it was allowed. I've had that issue with water somehow taking away faceup - different company but same problem.

 

I have many Myou company faceups and they've all been good quality. I too damaged one by removing the lashes but was able to fix it myself. It's my understanding that they won't do custom faceups but you can ask for the faceup of one sculpt on a different sculpt. Unless they changed their minds recently.

 

@Cap'n Does Myou themselves offer layaway or would I be better off using ACBJD? I would use Clover Singing but their website isn't working for me.

 

@Calust Did you contact Myou directly to ask for the eyelashes to be shortened on your doll?

I've only ordered them through ACBJD and never had any issues. AC offers layaway up to 6 months I believe.

 

Clover singing only works on a computer.

 

Clover Singing's website works on mobile as well, but Christina (the owner) has had issues with her service provider, she said the website will be back up on August 4.

 

@SteamWitch I was looking on my computer and it was just like white page of death. I am not really a mobile phone internet browser. It messes with my vertigo issues.

I have a question for those of you who bought the wig for your Alan/Rod etc… are they worth it? Or would you pass? I didn’t buy the wig for my Alan and I’m kinda wishing I did since my own wig making skills aren’t good yet :/

 

I have a Facets 4" wig on Rod an it looks great. Alan has a Monique but you may find some on the facetsboutique website, they may still have some.

Have you seen that Myou have released two new 1/6 YOSD sculpts on a new double jointed body?
I have checked with Alice's Collections and you can order old sculpts on the new version body.
I am very tempted to order - Nina is next on my list.

I am too! But I noticed the new bodies neck is smaller than the other two versions and the new heads are smaller as well. Makes me wonder how the bigger heads would even look on that body. I plan to wait for owner pics before I decide if I want it.

 

Oh yes, @Cap'n hadn't thought of that. Looks like there is a 2cm difference in the head circumference. I am slightly tempted by one of the new sculpts, Tuotuo, and the new ones are 15% off at the moment, so I might order him instead and then I can do a comparison.

 

Hi, does anyone know whether it is possible to order a doll through ACBJD and have another doll's faceup on it?
I like Tangwan but I really want Sandra's faceup on her.

 

Yep! You can email Alice's to ask Myou first to confirm but I do remember someone ordering one doll with another's faceup from them before. (Though it wasn't an anime faceup.)

I can't decide between YOSD Nina or Carol, and can't find many owner photos of either.

The Myou tinies are so beautiful! I am so close to ordering Bettina or Vieruoudis but have a question:
Please does anyone have a photo/photos of the posability of the lower torso joint? I can't decide whether to get her with 2-part or 3-part body. I have searched and searched but cannot see any review to tell if the 3-part body works well.

 

By chance does anyone here have both a Myou mature tiny and an Atelier Momoni mature tiny and could take a picture of them together?

I have a Vieruodis and I'm considering adding a Momonita to my crew but I feel like they might look oddly proportioned next to each other for some reason

 

@LilyAndRuby The lower torso joint has dents for two positions leaning forward and two leaning back. Very nice! I will try to take pictures but it may be tomorrow.

can anyone tell me what resin colour the doll in the photos is? it looks like maybe normal but I can't tell since the lighting of the photos of the doll and the resin comparison shot at the bottom are so different

I'd say normal as well. Myou white is pearly and the regular normal has a slight yellow tone. I don't have any experience with their normal pink but the normal yellow is even more yellow toned than the normal (obviously xD).

 

Normal pink is a very pale normal pinkish color which I prefer over the normal skin. Alice's Collections will be happy to tell you what color the model is.

 

thanks, I was thinking when I get tangwan (possibly as a holiday gift to myself) I may get her in normal pink because I prefer more red undertones to yellow, but in the resin comparison image the normal pink looks alnost TOO pink for me, but it could just be the lighting. I'm tempted to go with normal if it's the colour in the stock images though since I'm getting the fullset and want her to look as close to the photos as possible lol

@gaymergoose Myou's normal pink is gorgeous. It's not too pink! I think it'll mellow nicely. Their normal is rather yellow. It's nice, but not quite as lively.

 

I finally got my 1/6 Delia (now Alice), and what a gorgeous girl she is! It's funny, but she doesn't match in proportions with any of my crew, including my 1/4 Delia! She's bit taller than my Honey Delf, and her head is a lot bigger. My only 7-8 inch wig that's been too big for anyone else is a perfect fit for her. My existing YOSD dresses and shoes seem to fit her well, only the shortest skirts are too short.

She isn't much of a poser, which is what I expected and is fine. I have other dolls for posing, I wanted this body for the aesthetics.

I think I'm going to have to keep her somewhere else than on my usual doll shelf. She's very pretty, but next to my other girls, her giant nogger looks goofy!

Congrats on the new cutie! I've grown used to the big noggins but they are quite large. And Myou 1/4 heads are honestly too small imo. Did you get your Delia on the 27cm or the 30cm body? The 27 isn't as nice looking but fits pretty much most yosd clothes from what I've found. The 30 body can be a struggle to find clothes for though.

 

Thank you! I got the 30 cm body. Her head is big for her body, I can only wonder what she would look like on a smaller one!

She really is beautiful though, big head or no. The face-up is beautifully done and there are no seam lines. I do want a third doll from Myou eventually.

 

Most of my 1/6 have big heads and those that don't wear really fluffy wigs so I guess I'm used to the big head size. (Plus I started with Luts and they're known for big headed cuties.) For the 30cm body, shorts made for slim msd actually fit the hips quite well. Elastic wristbands are your friend!

I'm really curious about the new 1/6 body Myou released and if I ever get around to ordering a Tuotuo or Sibyl I'll probably get him on that body. Anyone else ordered the new body yet?

 

Where did you order from and what country are you in? The one I ordered from Alice’s is stuck, it shipped on August 23rd and has not been scanned since that day.

 

I ordered directly from Myou and live in Finland.

I'm sorry to hear about problem, it sounds like your package might be lost. Anyway, you might want to contact the seller. Shipments from China have been disrupted of late, but even then that's not normal.

 

I’m worried it’s stuck in the cargo ship back up off the west coast but I’m not sure if that shipping method goes by sea.

 

They are so cute! I am debating on the tangwan dolls they make as they have such a cute look to them and a great alternative to some vinyl anime dolls
