Myou Doll 58-62 CM - Discussion

I actually receive Myou Ailsa in the mail tomorrow! She's 44cm though instead of the bigger line. I'll let you know how she is tomorrow evening if you like? She's my first doll from Myou and I'm very excited for her. Fell in love with her photos and she was a bit of an impulse buy....

 

I TOTALLY understand that. :] Sometimes just the photos can be so convincing and bonding.

I'm getting my third BJD very soon, and I'm considering getting a doll I recently found; Myou's Chknak girl sculpt. She is an absolutely gorgeous sculpt. I found her on Junkyspot, and then went to the Myou website, where I found a bunch of lovely dolls that they've made. She seems a bit obscure, so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about her?

I wonder if Myou is going to come out with a pear body in 1/3 size? I'm set on getting Junyao (she's so cute ) but I would prefer a pear shaped body. But they are sale right now until October 20....

I think that, if they did, it would be quite some time in the future. You should probably just snap her up while she's on sale. (And then post pics!!!)

FabricFriends and dolls has a few Myous in stock --- I don't think Carl but one of the other boys full set may still be there.

I love my Junyao, even though I had some issues at first with her (cracks in her ankles) she feels very high quality. I feel like myou should be more popular lol Sorry for the crummy phone picture

I was wondering: how is Myou doll quality-wise?

 

I found Myous to be very nice especially for their relatively reasonable price. The face ups are lovely and the resin is smooth. The only thing I don't like is the way they can squeek when you pose them, but that's just me.

 

I have to thank you for posting pics of her. I've had so much trouble finding owner pics of junyao, which is a shame because she's so dang cute! Is there any way you would be willing to take a close-up picture of her face with no wig? I would love a reference photo, because I really want to get her!

 

Exactly!! I can't find Junyao anywhere either.
Someone referenced an instagram that did resin comparisons, and it looks like DC tan is very close to MYOU tan so I might eventually put Junyao on a tan Y-04 body because I love the bodies but not always the heads...The only difference is that DC is a bit shiny.

I'm possibly buying a Myou doll boy body, and i was wondering about some things. Are they double or single jointed? How good is the body with posing and holding poses? How close does the white skin match other doll company's white skin? Also what Jointed hands would fit?

She's beautiful, congrats. I have a MSD sided Delia and considering getting her a big sister. I hope this isn't a rude question but I don't have the best dexterity and I worry how heavy the larger Delia might be. If its ok to ask, in her full set (with or without bonnet) please may I ask how much she weighs? Sorry, I know its rude to ask a girl how much she weighs, its just I can't find that information anywhere.

In answer to other questions posed. I love how silky smooth the resin is on Myou dolls, my MSD Delia also squeaks but I forgive her because her resin is so nice and she poses so well. The wigs from Myou haven't been great tho, the ones that came with both my dolls were crunchy and so sparsly woven that you can see the wig cap through them, in all areas. Its the only let down, every thing else about them is fantastic and you can always get other wigs, cna't you.

 

I promise I will have plenty to contribute to this thread -- when I finish my layaway next month! (and wait for shipping....)

She too has the broken ankle issue. ACBJD said MYOU was going to airmail a replacement part. For now I'm wondering if a wonky ankle will make it into her backstory. Her wig is a bit thin, as y'all said. But I love the style so much I don't care right now. Maybe I'll dye it later. The rest of her fullset seems in decent shape, if not as high quality as the pics seemed. Ahh Photoshop.

 

We're still trying on eyes, and still having adventures along the way.

My lady Artemis has her replacement leg and her faceup! These eyes will probably stay for now, though her new, darker wig still needs some adjustment.

I've had the replacement leg for a while; eventually I went to switch her feet and changed the broken ankle while I was at it. Her tan is very orange base, so she looks fantastic in blues/teals/mints. She also does pinks/coral very well. I can't wait to find a purple for her!

 

I am so pleased to have found MYou Dolls! I've had a character idea for ages, and I'd planned it around a doll from another company which has since closed, but then I saw Junyao and she is perfect. Now I just have to save for her. Her name is going to be August

 

My Junyao makes me so happy. I'm glad to hear there'll be yet another one out there!

 

Could someone please share pictures of their 1/3 Myou boys?
I'd like to see what they look like, aside from the company photos.

 

Do you guys think Myou will release new bodies anytime soon? They have recently made 1/6 versions of their v2 and v3 1/4 bodies so it would be nice to see updates for their 1/3 line as well!

 

I have been holding off buying an Myou SD for just that reason. I have the pear body in BB and MSD size and it's just an amazing body over all. Would be amazing if they had it in SD size too.

 

What does everyone think of the new 58cm girl Vanessa? She is so beautiful, I have decided to order her

 

I'm in love with her lol! I love that she looks both super cute and mature at the same time (at least with her company face-up). I'm usually more drawn to the "cutesy" or baby faces, but I absolutely love Vanessa's face and company makeup. Though I've had my eye on their 1/4 girls lately since there's more variety in the body types, Vanessa might just be the next doll I'm saving up for

Has anybody ordered from MYou recently or received an order? I placed an order for 2 Coffee bodies; one male and one female almost a year ago now and I am wondering if this is normal for coffee or if Covid major role in delay?

 

Does anyone have Myou Doll Vanessa's dress? Vanessa, 58cm MYOU Doll Girl - BJD, BJD Doll, Ball Jointed Dolls - Alice's Collections
I would love to see more photos. I am also wondering if this dress would fit Huajing Doll Aviel. The waistline of the Huajing body is 9 mm larger than that of the Myou one.

 

Bought my first MYou doll so guess it's time to add this thread to my collection.
I hope the wait time isn't horrible....I tried to avoid notoriously bad ones like Ringdoll because I am not patient lol.

Well still no word on my bodies. It's now been 14 months since I placed order, not as bad as Dollshe but still. I read someone mentioned smooth resin a creaky joints. Reminds me of Jie Doll and Blue Blood Dolls. They also did smooth resin with no visible seams and they did creak in beginning. Anyway would love to know if anyone has ever had to or is currently waiting on dolls from MYou for a long time. Thank you.
