Uh oh. Every thread I join is an inactive, dead thread. xD I just bought a Wind from Junkyspot and currently waiting for him to get to me. I wanted to get him before the sale ended.

Do you have his wig planned yet? Or his eyes? I don't own a MYOU doll yet, but I have one on my wishlist so I'd love to hear more about what you have in store for your incoming boy.

 

Thanks! There's actually a wig on the marketplace I've been eyeing but I'm also not sure if it'll fit properly. The Wind's head circumference is so close to 7" but not quite there, and the wig I like is a Crobidoll 7-8". Not sure about the eyes yet. I sometimes try to keep the original eyes because it feels like the doll was... "born with them" or something, haha. But I'm also picky and like smaller eyes so if I change them, I'll probably go for a super light blue. xP I'm really excited because I haven't had a doll larger than a tiny in years.

Also I did a little creeping on your wishlist. Bohe is so pretty! Is she a "I will get someday" wishlist add or a "If the wind blows that way" wishlist girl? Either way, she definitely has a place there. :3

 

Hey, I have a Crobidoll wig on my wishlist, too... but it's for my Xagadoll May. One of my dolls with a 6-7" head wears a 7-8" wig. Fits fine as long as she also has a wigcap/rubber band underneath it, so that wig you're eyeing could work with luck.

Oh, light blue eyes are lovely. What color resin did you order your Wind in?

As for my wishlist, I'm torn between Bohe and Ailsa, preferably in coffee resin. I have every intention to buy one of them someday----I just keep getting distracted, it seems. Right now, Bohe is winning, but next month? Who knows.

 

I think Crobidoll wigs are pretty true to size so here's to hoping! I ordered Wind in the normal pink skin and I gotta say the color is quite nice. Did I mention he came in today? DDDDDDDD

I hope it's okay for me to join the discussion, I'm currently saving for my first doll, and Bohe is one that I have been eyeing for a while, but I am also considering one of MYou's large girls. So far I haven't seen any owner pictures of either, but based off of photos I've seen on here of Wind and Alisa I'm thinking either one would be stunning in person. Anywho, I just wanted to say hello!

Thanks. It turns out the Crobidoll 7-8" wig is a really good fit. Not too tight but doesn't fall off. ^-^ Who knew? I fiddled around with the name Vincent for a couple of days but I think he's going to be Laon (lah-ohn) instead.

 

I see this thread hasn't really been active but since this is for Myou 45cm dolls i thought i could express my excitement here since i recently ordered my first bjd and she will be an Ailsa! i ordered her blank in normal skin with the large bust. Since this is my first bjd i'm so excited/nervous lol. I can't wait for her to arrive!

 

Congrats on your first BJD!! I think Ailsa is a very beautiful sculpt. I hope you will share photos of her once she arrives. Do you have any certain style planned for her?

 

Thank you! Soon after discovering the company she quickly won me over. I'll try to share photos as soon as i can after i get her, i hope u don't mind pictures of her blank,since it will probably be a little while until she gets a faceup. i have an idea on what her style will be, a very girly, almost princessy look to her. I did order an outfit, wig and eyes, but we'll see.

 

She sounds beautiful! I love blank dolls, so I really look forward to seeing her once she arrives.

 

I just came across this thread, I ordered my MYOU Ailsa in Tan Skin at the end of May (23rd) and I'm still expecting her arrival. I'm so excited since she's my first BJD. The sculpt is stunning, I can't wait!

Hi! I've been looking through this thread and some box openings, and it's great to see a lot of people like this company! Everyone's dolls are so cute, and the perfect tan skin sanding is impressive.

I'm thinking of getting Arthur in coffee or tan skin during this new sale - does anyone have owner photos of the coffee? I'm leaning towards tan now, but I'm interested in the desaturated look of the coffee skin (and the slightly lower price point :P).

I'm also planning on modding him to have teeth showing! Or maybe commissioning someone to do it. Not sure if I'm brave enough :'D

 

Is there a thread for the tiny MYou's? I did a search but I didn't find one!

 

Yeah myou's been doing a great job,and I think arthur's cuute, i'd love to see him in coffee or tan if you get him. i haven't seen many pics of the coffeeskin so far ,but from what i've seen its a lovely color, so, it would be great to see more

One Question: Which clothing size fits her? Still these for 1/4 dolls?

 

Hi Kimihime! Myou Nianer is definitely calling my name, and all the Myou big baby line are on sale at Alice's Collections for 15% off right now!
As to what they wear, unfortunately many of the 1/4 size clothing made these days are for the slim 1/4 size dolls. The outfit my Ellowyn is wearing is from the first Volks sewing book and was an original MSD size dress. I had already made this dress as it was, and it fit her, so you may be able to get away with some of the looser looking MSD clothes. Also, look for anything labeled for Rosenleid's Holiday's Child, which is a similar size.
With the default chubby feet, some 1/4 size shoes should fit, but not most boots or anything made slim. Even the shoes mine came with from Myou are tight on her! They now offer smaller optional feet, though, if you are worried about that.
If you already have 1/4 size slim dolls, she won't look like the right size with them in photos. She is just too big, but does look like she would work nice with the original SD size doll.

Please keep us informed if you order Nianer! She is lovely! My Myou BB is definitely my hands down favorite doll now, after my original Customhouse Petite Gabriel.

Congrats Kimihime! If you got her from Alice's Collection, they are very nice if you have special requests. I asked for XiaoYuo lips on my Sally and they did that for me, and they were able to get me a set of the optional set of hands for an extra fee, as well. I can't wait to see your Nianer when you get her!

I have 30cm Loretta and Loraine on order. Loretta was on her way but China customs returned her to sender. Alice Collections will ship again. Has that happened to anyone? It was a first for me.

Dehlia is quite lovely. Her face is almost like a toned down version of the aesthetic of the big babies, very soft and elegant. If I wasn't trying to hard not to increase my resin gang I might be sorely tempted. Has anyone actually ordered her yet?

Has anyone found out if the big baby size can wear American Girl clothes? It seems like they would be similar in size. I was hoping I could use that size with my msds as a different body type but I saw a comparison photo and I don't think it'll work. I still love Loretta, though.
