I have a pair of these in a different color, and they are too narrow for my Kid Delf (she has wide feet) so I expect their fit will vary from one style to another.
Finally got the right wig for Gretchen, who arrived a couple of weeks ago. Lotte is glad to have her sister home. It's more fun with a playmate. Sharing by Thyme Willowbrook, on Flickr Btw, the boots Lotte is wearing are Dollheart MSD boots. They fit her really well! Gretchen is wearing the Mary Janes I got from Jpopdolls for the Kaye Wiggs girls. I also have a pair of Leekeworld heeled pumps that fit because they're open across the top. I just don't have a dress that looks well with them. They're very sparkly. lol
My Matcha got a new dress and shoes. 100 4414 par Mu Shu, on ipernity I'm seriously loving this size of doll!
So cute! I got my Nianer so now I have Loretta and Nianer too! Can I ask if the JPOP Mary Janes will fit the chubby feet with socks?
I think with thin socks they'll fit, but anything thicker will probably be a little too tight. I'll have to test it out on my girl when I get home from work.
I just did a shoe-nanza ordering spree so hopefully some will fit. I know I can order the smaller feet but I think the chubby ones are cute. I have a Rosenlied Holiday Child en route from Asia so any shoes I ordered that don't fit the MYOU kids will fit her. Hopefully Loretta and Nianer will have a shoe wardrobe too. If not, I will give up and order the smaller feet. O_o
I am super excited I have a pear body Matcha on the way home now. She was at JS and I couldn't resist anymore. Can't wait to take photos her with my other BB. And then here is a photo of her all done up and out of the box.
I did take a really cool head swap photo of Matcha head on a Volks SD body and a Volks SD head on the pear body. And honestly the NS might actually work with proper blushing. Size wise the SD head actually looked amazing on the Myou body.
Did you see the newest BB additions? Look at Marshmallows cute bigger nose http://www.myou-doll.com/en/kindeditor/attached/image/20171224/20171224084983128312.jpg And another boy with lovely face-up! http://www.myou-doll.com/en/kindeditor/attached/image/20171224/20171224083895199519.jpg
My boy arrived yesterday morning as I was on my way out. No box opening cause I was in a hurry! [/url Around getting him out. and this was taken earlier today. I rummaged through some of our dolly stuff. Kind of in love with their new girl Marshmellow. >3<
Actually found that dress at a doll show in Chicago a couple of years ago. It was labeled as msd size however is way, way too big for any of my regular sized girls and even worse on my slim girls. On a whim I thought I would try it on Matcha and it fits perfectly!
I was bad and bought an in stock Matcha from Dolk a few months ago. I finally got everything together for her and thought I'd share her here. She's named Daisy. I love the pear body. It's so adorable. The Luts baby delf outfit fits her perfectly. Daisy by Stokiaci, on Flickr
Matcha just melts my heart and it's always so amazing to see what everyone has done with theirs. I still need to be less lazy and take more photos of mine.
Here is my Matcha. She is the only doll that I have not changed original eyes. They are perfect. I love the pear body best. I prefer the smaller feet.
Anyone have any boy big babies out there they can share pictures of? I'm thinking of getting one but still on the fence.
I have been so bad. Sold an expensive one so went on Myou shopping spree and have a moussee on the way - in stock from JS since I am so impatient on preorders.
Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had any luck finding patterns for making clothes for the BB's? I've made mine some things in the French "Bebe" style, and I'd like to stick to that look but I'm struggling to track down anything more than the few patterns I have.
I had a big delivery day from JunkySpot yesterday I have 3 new BB added to the family. Nianer, Mousee and Buxiaoqi. Currently working on outfits, wigs etc so they can get their pictures taken. I had hoped that some wigs I had ordered would have arrived by now, but still waiting. I don't have any "masculine or boyish" wigs to use as the 5-6 that I own are already in use. So while I've got some shorter wigs to choose from the wigs are definitely more girly All 3 came on the regular Big Baby bodies and while they are nice, I much prefer the Pear shape body of my Matcha. I'm trying to "live" with the bodies for now but I have a feeling that I am going to have to replace all of them with the Pear body. I think it makes them much more toddlerish or pre-tweennish compared to the regular bodies and my kids are not meant to be more grown up (maybe like between the ages of 5-8 or 9?) I also have to do some clothing alterations for the boys to lengthen their pants (luckily the outfits that I got for them have a good 1/4 or more of fabric allowance for me to let out a bit. Nianer and Mousee are in the normal/yellow skin tone and Buxiaoqi (how do you even pronounce that?) came in pink skin. He definitely makes the others look more yellow when he is beside them, but when he's not nearby they just look like my normal resin dolls. I do find myself liking the pink skin tone however. Nanier also came with the smaller feet and I do not care for those at all! Both Nianer and Mousee came with extra hand sets which I wasn't expecting and Buxiaoqi came with extra feet (how I wish it had been Nianer that came with the extra feet vs Buxiaoqi) All in all though I am very happy with my order. There isn't much time left for MYou's 15% off sale and I'm looking at some of their yo-sd dolls to add but waffling on which ones.
@Lulu , somewhere back towards the beginning of this thread or maybe the thread about big babies, I remember reading about Sasha doll patterns. I didn't try any of them yet. I also remember reading about 16"-17" Shirley Temple patterns, which I used a nightie pattern from and it seemed to fit good. I think Chrissy patterns might have been the other one mentioned to work. I have one somewhere I used, but now I can't seem to find it to tell you exactly which size/type it was. My go to, though, is just old Volks MSD patterns, which I had a bunch of basic pieces from when they were available for free in the pattern sections, that I just lengthened the bodices a bit to fit. I've made a bunch of generic pieces now from those that I go back to for everything. I usually only use patterns for a base to make my own variations of. Did you see the 20's drop waist style dress I made? 20's Child's Dropwaist dress
Didn't someone say they can share clothes with Disney Animator toddler dolls? There are patterns available for those on Etsy and Ebay.
They can share clothes with the 16" Animator dolls. Dresses are great for the girls, but if you want pants or things for boys you will need to add about an inch of length to the legs otherwise pants are way short, more like capri's (which is not what little boys want to wear!)
Finally got a shot of my new kids. Please excuse the boys wigs which make them look extremely girly (I'm still waiting for some wigs and shoes to arrive) MYou new arrivals 3-2-18 (2) par Mu Shu, on ipernity Nianer, BuXiaoqi and Mousee
@whisperwolf - thank you. Poor little Nianer looks like she has 2 bruised eyes in that shot My camera is really playing tricks with her blushing (which is very pretty in person) Not sure this one is any better (I think its time for a new camera) MYou Nianer (2) par Mu Shu, on ipernity
@whisperwolf That's a great idea about the MSD patterns, I have a few of those, so that's a great help! Thank you for that and that dress is absolutely beautiful! Nice work! @thessalyrose @Mu Shu Thank you both, I'll go and have a look for some since I actually have some of the animator dolls! And as picture tax for the help, this is Lottie in the outfit I made her, it's from an original pattern including the underwear, and I used vintage lace, ribbons and lawn cotton:
Awww, that's beautiful, Lulu. You know, you can get the antique German style shoes that go with that style in a lot of places, but I like Audrey's Doll shop.
Thank you! @Mu Shu and @thessalyrose I have seen a few of those shoes around, but I'm actually in the middle of making a pair for her at the moment since we can no longer easily import from the US.
@Lulu That dress is gorgeous! I love the colors you choose! I love the antique lace. Your Lottie looks adorable in it!
I like to look in thrift stores and antique shops for old dresses to deconstruct. The lase and sleeves on mine was reclaimed antique lace too.
@whisperwolf I spent all day trawling through antique shops for some things to use, sadly not a winner today, but there's always another day eheh
They are so cute together! I love their casual clothes. @Lulu Lottie looks beautiful in her new dress. I really like the style and color you chose.
Found a tiny Care Bear at Target and just had to get it! Also I found that 'Honestly Cute' baby doll clothes fit these guys ok. Cute blue & green set and A 'my mom thought he was a girl' set without skirt
I'm planning on getting Marshmallow either this week or the next! I also want Anthony and possibly Matcha and Sleeping Loretta.
They are definitely beautiful sculpts! Marshmallow is my newest fave BB Welcome to the club! There is a long wait, but I think they are worth it!
Thank you! I bet there is. All of the dolls I've ordered that aren't secondhand seem to be right in the middle of long wait times. They will all be worth it though, and I'm sure she will be, too!
So seeing as how a DearSD was always my grail size but is almost impossible to get I've been looking into the closest alternatives and so far I've narrowed it down to either a Myou BB or a Baby Delf, problem is I'm having trouble deciding between the two and how they each stack up compared to a DearSD, so my questions are. 1. Is a Myou BB the exact same size/height as a DearSD or bigger/smaller? (I know a Baby Delf is still slightly smaller/less chunky) 2. How about compared to a Baby Delf, which is the bigger of the two?
Has anyone tried any of the shoes or outfits for Wellie Wishers (by American Girl) on any of the MYou BB? I know regular AG clothes need to have adjustments for fit but the WW are only 14" and there are a couple of things I would like to get if they would fit. I also wish JunkySpot would get in some new stock as I have "grabby hand syndrome" but want instant gratification
I just got some clothes for a 14.5 inch doll. I hadn't heard of Wellie Wishers before but I am sure these clothes were made for them as they were mixed in with 18" American girl clothes! I will see who they fit! It may not be today though!
