Feb 8, 2014

    1. I never drew and certainly didn't do a faceup to dolls.:blush Therefore I want to receive good advice.

      Many thanks for all!:aangel:

    2. That's really good, especially for a first face up! :thumbup

    3. Geez, that's way better than my first faceup is coming along. I don't really have much to say. The eyelashes are very soft and well done!

    4. A lovely first face-up!! Congratulations! :D

    5. Allora_Victoria BIG thanks!!I'm very glad!!:dance
Etheldreda Many thanks! I went crazy when them glued :D
Aska And to you many thanks! I waited for criticism, but I see only good responses.:blush

    6. Oh my gosh that is so lovely !! I think the only thing that could improve this is a bit more blushing on the face, around the ears, jawline, and forehead for example, but this looks simple wonderful! You should be proud c:

    7. The detail on your lips is wonderful. Congratulations!

    8. oh it's ryu!
i think you did very well for the first time!

    9. It is a wonderful faceup. It is an amazing first. I really like your blushing; it gives the face a lot of depth.

I think the lips are too pink. The color is a bit too much compared to the soft browns of the rest of the face.

    10. I'm a brunette like your doll and my lips are naturally very pink. I rarely need to break out the lipstick. This is a wonderful job for a first faceup!

Just a small question... are the black dots freckles? If so they are a bit dark and distracting. I LIKE the freckles and the placement but maybe try doing the in like a medium/deep brown instead. All my freckles are brown and not black. That's my 2 cents!

    11. Very clean, you did a great job! Especially for a first face up, I think it suits him really well.

    12. You have done an excellent job. The doll has been given a very real personality, it looks very kind, and warm.

    13. Wow that's great, well done! Very soft and clean. The only thing I would suggest is some gentle darker blushing around the nose, under the lip, near the ears and around the chin, this will help define/contour the face a little more.

    14. Wow congratulations, beautiful face up. I wish I had the talent

    15. This is very great, especially for the first faceup. The only thing I like to say is maybe you should use a softer pink for the lip line, especially on the both side of lips.Since I feel that the line make the lips look too much, but that just for me.

    16. That's really impressive for a first faceup, good job!
The only thing I have to say is that maybe some more blushing around the face would do well :)

    17. It's a nice faceup first one or not, but especially impressive since it's your first! I'd possibly suggest a darker brown shade (like dark umber) for the brows for a brunette, or a lighter shade if you're going for a blonde look (since the shade right now is somewhat in between), and a bit more blush on the apples of the cheeks. But even if you left it as is, you'd still have a great faceup- very natural look!

    18. I agree that a blushing has to be more. Many thanks to all for responses and good advice!!!:aheartbea I already erased this faceup and made the second! When I did a second faceup that hands didn't shiver so strongly as for the first time! In my opinion the second is better. Later I will upload a picture.
Hansongirl97 it were birthmarks  But I too think that it was necessary to make them is lighter.

      UPD: Second attempt

    19. Wonderful work both times! ^^ Loving the look on your Ryu!

    20. Oh wow, those are your first faceups? You are a natural! Looks awesome, very soft =)

    21. Great blush job, awesome line work! Maybe some variation in the eyebrows might be your next goal, make some lighter and heavier spots in there, otherwise, very little to say but: AWESOME!

    22. Neat and soft face up! Looks great!

    23. This is pretty gorgeous for a first and second attempts. This looks professional, really quite stunning. Great job!

    24. Wow! I think you did very well! That's all I can say.

    25. I love the lips, fantastic work. I thought the birthmarks were cool, adds character.

    26. This is really beautifully done, its so simple and elegant I love it! The lips are especially beautiful. Super good for a first face up!

    27. Wow that's really good, Congratulations!

    28. I really liked the birthmarks of the first faceup, but I agree that they were distracting since they were so dark. Great job on both of them--I especially admire your eyebrows; I can never get them to look as nice even when just drawing on paper.

    29. Beautiful work, especially for your first/second attempts! Second one is amazing but I feel like the blushing could be blended a little better. But that's just nit picking. Gorgeous work, congrats!

    30. Very beautiful and soft. I can't believe those are your first faceups.:)

    31. I'm so grateful for warm responses!! :aheartbea I didn't expect that my attempts in a face-up are so good! In the childhood I very much liked to draw, but never developed this direction in life. And now when in my life there were bjd dolls I with pleasure master different skills - drawing, sewing.. etc!:) Recently I bought water color pencils and I want to try to draw them eyebrows and eyelashes, there can be lines will better and softer.

    32. May I ask what you used to do the eyebrows and eyelashes on your boy, if not watercolor pencils? He looks fantastic, by the way! His first face up was a really good one, and your second attempt is simply stunning.
