Moggie61 transaction [Moggie's Toyshop]

Jun 4, 2008

    1. Goodness. First a few things, although armeleia has made everything pretty clear. One, Problem Transactions is for DOA MARKETPLACE PROBLEMS, not problems that occur off this board and on ebay or on someone's private website/shop. None of these transactions occurred on DoA. It is NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY to insure that transactions that go south off the forum are reported here. Yes, we do take action with gross commerce breaches when the offsite dealer is obviously a thief - those members are banned. This thread is in the correct place on the board.

Multiple posts by persons not involved have been removed. Finger wagging, advice, support, etc., are not appropriate for this thread. If a relevant post was removed accidentaly, we apologize, it's not personal, but trying to keep this huge thread relevant has become a full-time job.

Please post here only if you are owed monies or dolls. Please try to work with Moggie privately.

      Thanks for understanding.

    2. As I said, I have not been tending this thread. I think you are getting needlessly worked up over the fact that someone accidentally missed deleting a post - I will attend to it now. As always, if there is a post you find offensive, there is a little red triangle "Report Post" icon that you may click to alert the moderators. Redirecting your frustration with Moggie at the forum moderation staff, however, is not really going to help anything.

This thread has been added to the Problem Transaction Thread Index, but the thread will stay where it is for the moment because your issues concern Moggie as an off-site dealer. I would also like to take a moment to remind you that transactions on the forum are considered to be "at your own risk." Further, transactions that happen off the forum are even less something that the forum administration has any control over or responsibility for. We have done all that we can at this point from a forum standpoint - Moggie has been Marketplace Banned (please note the vivid red text that has been under his name for the last week). A full-forum ban would do nothing other than remove this avenue of communication.

Thank you for your understanding and I wish you all the best in resolving these issues.

    3. I'll get them back to you ASAP.

As for the rest, I'll be keeping it on topic as per Mods request.

    4. Dear Moggie,
I would like to know your present contact details as I am one of the many whose order was not fullfilled. I spent at least $700 with your company in April of this year and am more than disappointed. I doubt that any of us are rich people who can afford to lose this type of money and some would claim to be worse off than others, but the truth of the matter is that we have all been duped and deserve whatever compansation you can offer as quick as you can offer it. When I dealt with you in the beginning through ebay I actually believed you to be an honest guy and I still do. Life spirals out of control for all of us at some point, but you can't hide your head in the sand at other peoples expense. This for me was one of those rare times when I could actually buy something for myself for a change instead of spending on bills or off-spring, but you have owned up and I take my hat off to you for your efforts, but efforts are no good without actions. I would like further information about what you are actually doing to make sure that something is done to help us.

    5. My contact details are pretty much unchanged. You can contact via Pm on here, email is [email protected], my IMs are listed under my profile and address and phone are on the web site.

    6. Moggie, I would like an update on your ongoing efforts to make good on the transactions outstanding. I'm still out $112 and would like to have some kind of indication that it will be refunded soon.

    7. First couple of refunds will be going out next week. I'm sorting through Paypal at the moment trying to work out who has been refunded what at the moment.

    8. Hope you can get that together soon, I could use the money :(

    9. Not to harrass but any updates?

    10. Did anyone receive refunds yet?

    11. I haven't yet.

    12. Both of my chargebacks via Paypal were approved through my CC company.

    13. Still no refund from Moggie.

    14. Same here, no refund~

    15. I was told last week by Paypal that I had lost my case... no refund...

    16. That's not good~ Hope he'll do something for you

    17. I just hope that I can get my refund back before Xmas.....:(

    18. Still no refund for me either. I did email him a couple of days ago, but have not yet recieved:evil: a reply. I calmed down when I heard he was back and tried to stay optimistic, but if he doesn't let us no where he is up to with this thing I am going to start losing my rag all over again.

    19. Hi All,

I did a couple of refunds week before last.

Should be doing another couple this week.

    20. I have just received a refund. Thank you, Moggie.

    21. You're welcome, long overdue. :(

Processed another couple of refunds as well. Not sure if they are members here or watching this, but if they are, hopefully they will confirm as well.

    22. I got my refund too, thanks!

    23. Just adding my name in here - I already contacted Moggie, but I'm just giving him an extra heads up in case, since he's not selling through the site anymore, the contact form doesn't still go through to his email.

I'm not in a rush to get a refund, my expenditure was reasonably small and I don't have dolls on the line, but of course I would like things settled eventually. I'm really sorry to hear that things have snowballed so badly, though.

    24. Hello.
I still don't have my refund.
Dear Moggie, I sent you a pm, but you haven't replied. I would like you to tell me when you will be able to give me my money back. I understand that it may take a while, I just want to know how long I will have to wait for my money.

    25. People may want to list when they ordered as it makes since that he would try and pay back from oldest to newest. Which would give you each a better idea of the situation/when you will get repaid, etc...

    26. February (2008), over here. I'm really confused about the situation actually and what happened to get Moggie so backlogged? I'm assuming the lack of communication to the customers was honestly just a flub, because it isn't a logical choice in any circumstance short of "we were stranded on a desert island" but I just am not getting a clear picture of what DID happen.

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that things got so out of hand. Honestly, I'd rather have the corset than a refund but I can understand if that's not actually possible.

    27. June 4, 2008 For me, I purchased:
Dollzone 1/4 Female to Male BJD - A Male Normal Pink Skin Shoyo to Be exact
Eyeco Platinum Glass 17mm Doll Eyes BJD - P072
      Total= $352.85 USD
      Amount Refunded by Paypal= $200
      Money Owed= $152.85

And Like I've stated before, I could really use the money Asap.. I'm not trying to guilt or anything but my job is going to be ending soon and I need the money for expenses and college :(

    28. I ordered on in May, I think. Either at the beginning or at the end.

    29. I ordered on April 25th 2008 and I paid instantly.
      I purchased:
      DZ Celine - 575$
      DZ Floy - 530$
      plus shipping price - 155$
      Total: 1260$
      I'm still waiting for refund.
It would be nice if Moggie actually answered to pm as I still haven't heard from him anything but what he wrote in this thread...

    30. I have already ordered on may if I remeber well...

    31. I ordered on June, 9th.

    32. Anyone had refunds recently?

    33. Still no refund for me.. :(

    34. No refund for me, either. This is really taking way too long, in my opinion. It's been five months now.

For the sake of recordkeeping, here's what I ordered:

      Dollzone Urban Traveler 1/4 outfit - $43.99
      Dollzone Wild Side 1/4 outfit - $49.99
      Dollzone Camo Canvas Boots 1/4 - $9.99
      Shipping - $8.50
      Total - $112.47

I hope I hear something soon.

    35. Well, I haven't been refunded yet, so for the records:

      payed on Apr-15-08

      buddydoll tough $578.00
      shipping $65.00
      total $643.00

    36. No refund here either

(recap: paid in [edit, sorry, February], for an SD-sized corset - price listed in comment above, I believe it's 35 or something like that - I honestly don't care if I get paid in order b/c there are people who are owed thousands of dollars more than I am.)

I feel like we should contact PayPal as a group -- I know that you're supposed to contact within 30 days, but for handmade goods, that's a little silly, and I think probably someone in charge there would agree. I don't mean to be aggressive here but I'm getting the feeling there's a situation where it's more beneficial for Moggie to take the money and run than to try and pay us all off: no one's put him in a situation where anything's going on except anger on a forum. Granted, if he's not still doing business a PayPal dispute won't do much either (the real threat there is that your PayPal gets frozen) but.

I feel honestly sorry if he's in financial straits but we all have money problems - or we wouldn't be pushing that - and someone doing business needs to be careful, especially a dealer for someone else's dolls.

    37. You're absolutely right. I am livid. I have tried contacting him recently but it seems useless. I ordered in April and still no refund. I am absolutely broke and could really do with the money. It's as if I've just taken my hard earned cash and given it to a bloody stranger to spend as they like. This shouldn't be allowed to carry on, but I feel pay-pal will not care, other than that I don't know what else could be done.

    38. Bugging again, any refunds?

      I still haven't recieved anything~

    39. Has ANYONE received a refund?

    40. I definately have not.:x

    41. Nope, just doublechecked my Paypal to make sure. :|

    42. A couple of people have, but I haven't yet. I'd say probably the majority of us haven't.

I was also denied a chargeback from my credit card company because I waited too long to notify them. Bugger. So, I'm out this money unless Moggie rediscovers his integrity and refunds it.

    43. i place an order on 8/13/2008 for $201 and have not received anything.

i really don't understand this situation. if they really can't deliver any goods and are basically out of business, then why do they still have a working website?

    44. it seems like a couple did in the Beginning but it's poofed to nothing :/

    45. To steal a line from my girlfriend, "Maybe he can call it on the house phone and hope it rings?" :|

This whole thing is seeming more and more like a scam to me; I feel like once the numbers started adding up he realized it'd be more beneficial to take the money and run.

I realize that he's admitted to some problems with depression, but as someone with anxiety/depression myself, the only way to fix that kind of a situation is to chip away at it. Honestly, if he were paying someone back $2 a week, it'd be better than this kind of a situation.

    46. This means there have been no refunds for a month now.

    47. Okay, I find this so aggravating! How dare he continue to take money from people, without taking care of his outstanding obligations first?! Miss Ally, you should really look into filing a Paypal dispute on him, so that you will be able to get your money back.

Grrrr...this whole situation makes me mad!

    48. I also haven't received any refund.
Also I was unable to contact Moggie. Has anyone been able to?

    49. Is his email working?

    50. The really unfortunate thing about it is that despite already having outstanding obligations by then (he was here apologizing and promising refunds by July), it's still too far back for her to open a PayPal dispute. You have to open one within a month.

    51. I wonder if the website is still working. Did anyone manage to contact the website host (or whatever its called?).

    52. I can't believe he is still taking orders on things. Apparantly he's there enough to take peoples' money, but he isn't there enough to refund money.

    53. Yeah, you're right. Unfortunately. I waited too long, myself, but hell, I trusted him because he was so well thought of around here! My money may be uncoverable, but there's got to be some way to stop him from selling altogether!

Australia people, do you have some sort of international business/commerce fraud agency or something? There has to be a way to grind this to a halt.

    54. We need to file a police report of some sort.

    55. Just to let everyone know, I posted on BDD on LJ warning that his website is still taking orders. It also shows items in stock! I hope the word get's spread so no one else places an order thinking that they are getting the items that they ordered.

I also pointed anyone on BDD to this thread that has ordered items from Moggie and has yet to get anything.

    56. Not yet and in last contact I had with him he said refunds by the end of Oct.
I am not holding my breath.

I say give up on the scumbag.

Just make sure everyone knows he is a thief. And that he does not start selling under a new name. Its the best we can hope from this.

    57. I sincerely hope we can ensure that -- honestly, I think it likely that he has changed his identity completely on the internet. If anyone knows his first and last name, or more helpful, his address, we may be able to track him down, but I find it very unlikely that he is not at least active, and probably selling, somewhere.

    58. I am not surprised at how this has come out. I feel bad for the people who did not receive their refunds. I hope no other people get taken advantage of.

    59. OMG you STILL dont have yours!!!??? I'm horrified!! I'll e-mail you the contact details for the police station in his town. It has a direct e-mail, anyone else needing it legitimately LMK

    60. i sincerely hope that this company is shut down. this man should not be allowed to live his life funded on money "stolen" from honest people who purchased things from him.
it frustrates me to see the online store still working.
i am curious, anyone in Australia, have you actually been to the store itself, does it exist?
if so, why can't he be contacted there?
